Linda called me and told me that my card didn't work & helped me figure out why & was making my arrangement while talking to me. She was so nice, patient and understanding. The flowers were a surprise & she made them beautifully. They were gorgeous & made my friends day. When they were delivered, I had given them the wrong address & they got the right one & made to my friend very quickly. I live out of state & not very familiar with the area. I contacted Flowers in the Country in Oswego IL for a Homecoming corsage based on excellent reviews and it being a small locally-owned business. I was not disappointed! My youngest son advised me last minute he was attending his high school Homecoming and did not realize items like flowers...dinner...dress clothing...were required. Linda, the owner, provided OUTSTANDING customer service and delivered a stunning corsage, even taking extra time to insure the ribbon colors complemented the dress my son's date had chosen. The corsage was ready on time, and I found Linda and her assistant to be delightful people. I will use her in the future for all floral needs - she impressed me that much with one simple order. I ordered a presentation bouquet for my daughter. As a typical dad, I don't know an orchid from a dandelion. I phoned in the order, and gave them a basic idea of the occasion, and they took it from there. When I arrived to pick it up, the lady came out with several beautiful roses and carnations (my wife told me what they were), tastefully arranged with babys breath, wrapped in colorful netting and a beautiful bow. This was right out of the TV award shows! The price dropped my jaw--I would have paid more at a superstore for some painted flowers wrapped in cellophane. I HIGHLY recommend the business!! Definitely a "0" star rating. My husband ordered 2 dozen premium roses, chocolates and a bear for Valentine's Day at a cost of $240. Only one dozen mediocre roses, no chocolates and no bear arrived at 7 pm. When I called to ascertain how she was going to remedy the error, she yelled at me to stop talking as she had another call to answer, then hung up on me. When I tried to call back, she wouldn't take the call and it went into voicemail. Obviously, she doesn't realize that there are numerous other flower shops out there that understand that providing excellent customer service is key to getting repeat business. Please, please go anywhere else to order your flowers than from Flowers in the Country. Absolutely horrible flowers and customer service. read more

Actually, my rating is 0 stars. Horrible. This used to be my favorite florist. I used them once a year for the past several years. Linda Pauly is the manager/owner. Although she gave me flowers that were worth more than I paid for and a complimentary vase (as I later found out), it was a very unpleasant experience. I was not happy with the late delivery time (9pm) or the condition of the flowers that were delivered (they arrived unwrapped and were browning and wilting by the next morning). Found out later that the flowers came from a store in Lombard, not Oswego - with delivery to Aurora. When I talked to Linda, she seemed quite annoyed with me, but offered to deliver other flowers to my friend in Aurora. When my friend in Aurora talked to her, she acted the same way. I wrote Linda an email stating my dissatisfaction with the experience, and telling her that I was very bothered by the fact that she was so annoyed with my phone call and my friend's phone call. About 10 minutes later I received a "Restricted" call on my cell phone, and a very profane voice message. I was also sent an email stating "I will not be responding anything to your email because no matter how hard I have tried to please you, I can not". My friend received her "new" flowers - a bunch of long stem, uncut, mediocre flowers. The person who delivered the flowers also asked for the vase back. Scary. read more
