I have a senior dog that is terrified of the vet. while walking in I noticed he was nervous and about to go #2. I tried to get him in the grass but he wasn't budging. ultimately it end up on the side walk. when entering the building I waited at the front desk to let the staff know of the incident. while checking my dog in and letting the staff know, Bonnie asked if I wanted to clean it up, I replied I didn't mind I could do that. She pointed to a roll of paper towels . I replied I can't use that it was a little soft she then pointed at some plastic bags... Ok no problem! that would work! I figured I would get him checked in and when they took him back I would gladly clean up his mess. We all know how chaotic a vet waiting room can be. After asking our name and pets name and getting him checked in. Bonnie then said not to worry about it she would get "one of the girls to clean it." I asked repeatedly are you sure I don't mind picking it up? Fast-forward 10 minutes another patient came in. She was trying to let the staff know about the mess on the sidewalk. I smiled and replied I let them know, it was my dog. Sorry about that. I was sitting in the middle part of the waiting room behind the wall, when Amanda (receptionist) made the comment "why do people do that, like come on. why do People let their dog poop right there." After hearing her rude comment about "us people" I peaked around the wall and politely told the staff that it was my dog, and I offered to clean it up. Took my dog in multiple times for a hot spot issue. After 3 visits they keep coming back. No change in prescription or anything. This place has gone downhill. If what you have done doesn't work you would think you would try something different. read more

This is the place to go if you want to pay more than the average cost. They want $1700.00 to clean my cats teeth. This is assembly line service. But I guess there clients are expected to cover the cost of a very large staff. they will try to convenience you get all kinds of expense test. They charged me $25.00 an ounce for stool softener, for my dyeing cat and she had to have one half ounce a day. Chewie charged me 1$16.00 for 16ozs. read more

I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else. The staff is wonderful. We've had to board our dog for several days before and they took great care of her. She got spoiled and loved on. Excellent veterinary care from professionals who care. My cats sure love Drs. Chad and Nate, especially Dr. Chad! Don't tell Dr. Nate! Heritage provides excellent care for both cats and dogs and I would recommend them to anyone. I still drive all the way to Genesee Township, which is definitely out of my way, when I need to take my cats to the vet, be it to remove their claws, get shots or for an emergency. I just don't trust anyone else with their health or well-being. I've boarded pets with them in the past and that has always gone well. They've always received the best care and have round-the-clock staff there to help out. They aren't cheap, but they aren't the most expensive, either, and they are worth both the money and the trip. I could easily find a more convenient local vet, but I'm sticking with Heritage. I've never taken any of my pets elsewhere. When my kitty, Beaner, passed away in their care in 2012, they were very compassionate and even knocked some of the money off the bill for services rendered. read more

I like the vet. If you feel like being treated like crap this is the place for you! I do not like the mask policy of having to wear 1 while outside of the establishment. I was chastised for not wearing one. So I went to another vet. They needed the med history for my dog so I had to go back. While waiting outside I watched 2 of their staff enter the side door with NO MASK! When I asked to talk to the owner Chad to ask about the situation he is too busy to talk or return a call. HMMMMM I wonder why? Maybe he will reply to this generous portrayal of the events that transpired. Waiting Chad....... read more

Had a wonderful experience here. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We brought our dog in after having a suspected seizure. We weren't sold any unnecessary testing. All of our options for treatment were explained thoroughly so we felt like we made a very informed decision. We walked away with a good feeling and it didn't cost an arm and a leg! I came in there on June 9 of 2023 to have my cat of 20 years put down. I wanted his ashes, returned to me with his urn, engraved as well as a paw print. She sat the paper down without even allowing me to double check and I grabbed it anyways lift it up. They had marked him as a communal burial. I asked it to be fixed. They just scratched all over the page so when I got back I requested that the Doctor performing the euthanasia to redo the page. They did not mark the paw print they did not mark for his name to be engraved. So now I get my cats ashes back today with no paw print, no name engraved I called the company. They are getting me a new urn, but the fact that I cannot get his paw print is absolutely mortifying. This is irreparable. Nothing can be done about this. He is gone so there's no way this situation can be fixed. I thought that they were a kind and caring vet clinic that put every patient as they saw first. Apparently they're not if they get to busy they won't even pay attention to you and try to throw paperwork in the mix without even allowing you to check anything. Don't take your animal here. If you're having your best friend euthanized, they will screw everything up and leave you heartbroken eventually I'm going to get older and I'm gonna forget the size and shape everything of his feet and now I have nothing to remember him by. This has made the loss of a family member even harder. I've had my Izzi half my life and now have to do the rest without him. Im so torn up about everything and this just added to my family's loss. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You guys are absolutely disgusting. read more

I have a new puppy. I called ahead to make sure whether or not I needed an appointment to get her first rounds of shots done.. the lady who answered made me feel dumb and said "we only do walk-ins unless it's surgery or grooming so no you don't need an appointment??" I said "OH! Okay! Should we bring anything? Medical records from the previous owner?" She said "MAKE SURE TO BRING ANY MEDICAL BACKGROUND ON THE ANIMAL YES. Come between *this time and that* for the best chance to get in" I said "Alright we definitely will! Just to reassure myself, we do NOT need an appointment for shots correct?" She said no and we hung up. My husband just took her in and they insisted she needed an appointment for shots!? I specifically called to be CERTAIN 100% we wouldn't need an appointment! That's outrageous and overall poor service ON THEIR END to tell someone they don't need one and then deny service a day or two later when they don't have one! I will no longer be considering service for my animals here! read more
