That water was COLD! Well, maybe it's not so bad later in the summer, but man, in early June, the river is high and the water is pure snowmelt. I was the only person who chose not to wear a wet suit, and also the only one who tried to stay in the water longer than 60 seconds. I now regret that my inner Minnesotan thought it would be a good idea to prove my resilience. Never again. We wanted to take our first rafting trip, as a family, on easy rapids, so we basically took a Class 2-3 ride, everyone agreed we could have been more aggressive. If we have the chance to go with Wanderlust again, we will. Colin was a terrific, hunky guide (yep, my older daughter was crushing on him) and we really enjoyed the views of the Poudre river as it meandered into Fort Collins. It was just a 15 minute ride from the city, so it was a perfect half-day adventure that gave us a better appreciation for the natural beauty of the area. Highly recommended! read more

From booking to the actual whitewater rafting experience, we were impressed with the whole operation! We had a group of 11, which we were able to split up into two parties of 5 & 6. The equipment was clean and looked new. The safety video was really thorough and well done. We didn't eat at the restaurant above, but it smelled amazing! We had Jack as our guide and he was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, instantly remembered our kids (7 & 8 year olds) names and made them feel comfortable and brave on this fun adventure. And even cracked a couple cheesy jokes for them. He was very skilled and we learned he is an EMT in his other job. We felt like we were in very safe hands! We had mostly class 2/3 rapids on the "Taste of Whitewater" version that were exciting for our kids and for the first-time rafters in our group. We got to jump into the river off of a large rock at the end of our journey which was a highlight as well. The photo package was incredible and even included some video of our groups rafting. They charge $60 for the first raft and then just an additional $20 for the other included in our group. We usually skip out on photo packages for things like this, but after reviewing the photos we decided to purchase this time and I'm so glad we did! Would 10/10 recommend booking with this company and hope to return to the more challenging "Blast" version when our kids are all older! read more

Would definitely recommend! Our guide Austin was amazing. He told us about each of the rocks and often made interesting conversation. We went during low season so we got to go twice and at the end even got to go to a swimming hole. The swimming hole was amazing the guides showed us a rock that was safe to job off of, and almost everyone did. The adrenaline was amazing! I would definitely recommend, one warning go in warm weather and comfortable clothes. My cousin wore jeans and had some issues, and if it had been any colder I think I would have frozen luckily it was very hot and the cold water was very refreshing! read more

Wanderlust never disappoints! This was my 4th or 5th trip with them. Went with some of my girl scouts some of them it was their first trip some of them have done it multiple times. We had a BLAST! PAULA and DAKOTA were fabulous guides! we had 2 rafts for our group and we all were so happy. When I read about this place it stated we had to drive around Vern's restaurant and park on the bottom. My thoughts were skeptical. We were staying in Loveland and the meet up spot was 30 mins. When we arrived they were ready for us. The equipment was in good shape and smelled sanitized. The staff was friendly, fun and not afraid of having a conversation with you. Each of them point something out during our time with them. The river was a little low but our guide Drew, made it fun and exciting. My wife launched out of the boat on a big rock hit. Drew was on top of it, giving her instructions on what to do. She was all good minus a few scrapes and bruises. We would definitely recommend this company to others!!!! read more

This rafting place is amazing! It's not too dangerous but still a lot of fun and they allow kids 10+. Laura was my groups guide on my trip, and she was the best. She was super nice, but also really good at directing us where we needed to go. Also, Vern's Place is a very good American food restaurant which is right above Wanderlust and great for after your rafting adventure. I would definitely recommend Wanderlust Adventure for all age groups who are willing to white water raft! read more

We had a great time with the guys at Wanderlust. Our family of four was camping nearby and we signed up for the shorter/easier ride. But it was certainly exciting enough for us since we had never been whitewater rafting before. The guide was excellent and everyone on the raft had a great time. They have all the gear you need. It was a little chilly that day but the fleece jackets they provided were enough to keep us warm. We had dinner at the restaurant upstairs afterwards which was super nice since it was going to be too late to cook back at the campsite. It was also excellent. These guys were easy to work with, nice and well equipped. I highly recommend them. read more

We had a great time! Our guide, Eric, was very professional. I am terrified of water but had to do this. I am so glad that I did! We are looking forward to another trip and plan to bring our kiddos. Level 1-3 for beginners is highly recommended. Expect to watch a short safety video at the office before you embark on your journey. Wear water shoes. Chose your helmet and life jacket. You'll take a short, yet adventurous, school bus ride to the river. You will need to help the guides unload and load the rafts. (Don't be negative about this. Think of all the extra calories you'll burn. You are in the fittest state in America after all! ) The ride itself will amaze you. Especially if it's your first. The views are STUNNING. You'll take a short break and are allowed to swim in the river. Lastly you will help load the rafts and head back to the office where you can purchase pictures taken by Wanderlust photographers. You can also purchase shirts. The office area is large and has changing rooms for you to use as well. Wanderlust is connected to a restaurant called Verns. We didn't eat here but hear it has great food. We opted to explore Ft. Collins instead which also has plenty of food and beer. We loved Wanderlust and our river guide, We will absolutely be back!! read more

I have to give a mixed review. To be honest, we had a great time, but we were not very happy with the service, in particular Tori. She was extremely rude, as someone who works in customer service, I can tell you I was not happy with hers. She was rude when we asked for our party to ride together, insisting we "should have told her sooner," even after we had contacted the company 3 times asking to put our party together. Then they tried to charge us $49 per photo package, if we got split up we should have at least gotten our photos for the price of one package not 3. I will say though that our raft guide, Hunter, was fantastic! He went out of his way to make our time great! We registered for a 3/4, but water levels only allowed for a 2. So we were able to go twice, and he worked hard to give us some thrills! Mixed review for sure, but customer service is important, hopefully Tori can step it up. read more

My group of friends and I had an amazing time rafting today, and it is all thanks to the fantastic staff at A Wanderlust Adventure. For some background -- my group and I are in our mid-twenties, all girls, basic athleticism, and zero experience with white water rafting. That being said, we booked "A Taste of White Water" not knowing what to expect. We had a LOT of anxiety going into it. But, the staff is friendly, down to earth, and ready to help. I can honestly say that I didn't have a poor interaction with anyone who worked there. Our guide in particular was Brett. He gave instructions clearly and was so kind and funny throughout the experience. We all had so much fun, and I can attest that to the staff for being so knowledgable but understanding. I highly recommend booking with this company -- white water rafting will easily be the highlight of my trip to Colorado! read more

Our group of 8 had a spectacular time for a birthday adventure! I haven't rafted since I was a teenager (many, many moons ago) so jumped at the opportunity for this day trip. We booked the beginner trip. A few things I learned for next time since we're talking about doing this once a year now: 1) Wear wicking clothes, no cotton and you don't need a wetsuit for the cold water unless you're rafting in May. Bring a small water of bottle to leave on the bus or clip to your life vest (no water was provided) 2) June-July are the best times to raft (during our trip in mid-Aug the water was very low but still a great time!) 3) Choose Ty as your guide if he's available. He's super relaxed, knowledgeable, and you can tell he loves the river and his job. 4) This is a paddling trip - don't expect to just sit and observe! 5) Might want to budget your time for a full day trip depending on where you're driving from. With the drive to and from Littleton and a slight delay in the length of the trip bc of stops (one of the guides kept getting lodged in the rocks) it really took the whole day. But we had an amazing time! Can't wait to go back. Great memories! read more

We booked our trip 6 months ago. For the last week, we've been getting constant email reminders about the trip. Then, today, the day before our trip, we get a call that they didn't have enough people for our time and they were canceling it. It's ridiculous that they waited until the last minute to tell us, and now it's too late to reschedule or find something else to do, because our week here is already full. So incredibly unprofessional. Not once were we warned that this could be a possibility. Not once in the last week of getting emails did they mention that there aren't enough people booked. This was something we are really looking forward to and now we don't have enough warning to rebook it. When we finally were able to get a hold of them after they left the cancellation message, they tried to tell us that maybe they could work something out after all and call us in the morning if it opens up. We're 1.5 hours away. We can't be ready and there if they call right before the time to leave, and we shouldn't be expected to wait around all morning in case they maybe call. That is no way to run a business, especially one that primarily caters to out of town visitors. So, so unprofessional. read more

Go with this company! Wanderlust guides are experienced, knowledgeable, patient, and FUNNY. You'll have a blast rafting with this crew. My family had never been white water rafting before, so we started with the class II/class III. We caught on quickly, thanks to the wonderful instructions of our guide. We can't wait to go back and try the class IV/class V. Setting expectations: you'll be waiting around for an hour or so before you get in the water. At the shop you have to get gear (vest, helmet, and jacket weather permitting - all clean and in good shape), watch a video tutorial, then there is a 20-30 min bus ride to the start of the river rafting. You can purchase photo packages back at the shop, and they have a great selection of t-shirts! read more
