From booking to the actual whitewater rafting experience, we were impressed with the whole operation! We had a group of 11, which we were able to split up into two parties of 5 & 6. The equipment was clean and looked new. The safety video was really thorough and well done. We didn't eat at the restaurant above, but it smelled amazing! We had Jack as our guide and he was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, instantly remembered our kids (7 & 8 year olds) names and made them feel comfortable and brave on this fun adventure. And even cracked a couple cheesy jokes for them. He was very skilled and we learned he is an EMT in his other job. We felt like we were in very safe hands! We had mostly class 2/3 rapids on the "Taste of Whitewater" version that were exciting for our kids and for the first-time rafters in our group. We got to jump into the river off of a large rock at the end of our journey which was a highlight as well. The photo package was incredible and even included some video of our groups rafting. They charge $60 for the first raft and then just an additional $20 for the other included in our group. We usually skip out on photo packages for things like this, but after reviewing the photos we decided to purchase this time and I'm so glad we did! Would 10/10 recommend booking with this company and hope to return to the more challenging "Blast" version when our kids are all older!

Excellent day on the river. Jack was an awesome guide. If you are looking for a rafting company to raft the Cache la Poudre river A Wanderlust Adventure should be your first and only call.

Getting instructions from Dan out Adventure leader before going on the river.

Bob and his crew of rafting guides were AWESOME! My group, ages ranging from 10-55, has a blast today on the river. Dan the head guide was very professional and knew the river like the back of his hand. Well done, A Wanderlust Adventure". We will see you soon for our next one.

Also the process to buy pictures was absolutely ridiculous. There was no organization in it at all. We had to sit and watch slideshows to find what number pic ours was to buy. Seems like there is a way to make that an easier process for your customers. Would most definitely do again from this company but I do believe they could make some improvements on the photography and the way pictures are sold.

He talked us into doing a tad more vigorous rapid, (he wasn't trying to upsell us, but we were the only two that selected the lesser rapids and he was just letting us know that we would be getting off the river and rejoining. It was easier for everyone if we just stayed on the entire time.) We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, (his name escapes me, sorry! I know he is from Salida), was unbelievable and so accommodating of my daughter the entire time, making sure she was okay. He was SO nice and friendly and really funny. He also pointed out local points of interest that was pretty interesting. This is a great place and is the only place that I would go through for rafting in Fort Collins.

Pros: The group booking process was easy and the staff was super friendly and accommodating for our big group. Upon arrival the presentation was organized and thorough, especially the video that covers all of the safety instructions. Shop is big, with two restrooms and a comfortable outdoor seating area which is nice, as we waited almost an hour before getting on the bus. The guides were fun and energetic, especially Grace who engaged our group of teen girls and got them hyped up on the bus ride for the trip, banging their paddles on the bus roof! Everyone had positive feedback and was happy with their first rafting experience through RMA. Cons: We did a level 3 trip and it seemed a bit calm. Not too many "rapids", water level was low, and the two legs of the trip we made seemed short, under an hour each. Towards the end of the trip I asked if we could have some time for the girls to swim in the river the head guide abruptly said no and that we were out of time (likely because a raft had overturned and we spent 15 mins+ docked and waiting for them to regroup). Would have been nice to have maybe used that time to swim instead of just sitting in our rafts. Oh well. Overall, our group was happy with our trip and all said they're ready for a level 4. I would def recommend RMA for your group adventure, assuming most trips are the same duration. I'm especially thankful to Grace for making it so fun and memorable for our softball girls. Thanks guys!

This will be a long, but worthwhile review of this dude ranch. This ranch is located in Livermore,…read moreColorado. It is a hidden gem in North East Colorado not far from the Wyoming border. The ranch is owned by the Prince family, and has been since 1992. They can accommodate over 40 guests, but you would never know that there were that many people in the ranch because their attention to detail and guest obsession is top notch. Everything they do is all about that single guest. All of the ranch hands are top notch. They excel in character, respect, and manners for all of the guests. The ranch activities range from horseback riding, to skeet shooting, to fly fishing and much more. Almost all of those activities are included in the package, except white water rafting and massages. The owners, Christine and Dickie Prince, make sure the experience lives up to each and every guest's expectation. Each horseback ride is different and exciting. The chief wrangler, Madii, paired up each guest with the perfect horse for the week, and honestly, it was a magical week. At the end of the week, they hold a guest rodeo, where each of the guests compete against one another in events like barrel racing, pole bending, and keyhole racing. All in all, it is a very exciting trip. I brought my wife and my two grown children to this ranch and they were drawn in to its charm and, frankly, we were all sad to see the week end. We were treated like family the entire time we were there and have already committed to return next year. While we were there, we discovered this ranch was chosen by USA Today as the #1 dude ranch in America. We researched 14 ranches before picking this one and we agree with USA Today. If you are looking for the perfect family vacation away from the commercialism that is typical of all inclusive vacations, I highly recommend Cherokee Park Ranch. Your family might end the week like mine - missing the comradery, the fun, and the attachments made that will last a lifetime. If I could give this ranch more than 5 stars, I definitely would do so. I don't think you will be disappointed.
