Can't say enough great things about a super fun day! Mary and Ethan were excellent guides and instructors and we were well- prepared before going on the water. Class I-III rapids were perfect for our group and the weather was outstanding! Love this experience and will definitely use RMA again!

We had a fantastic time on the river. Our guide Ethan was the best!! The staff and other guides were very helpful, filled the adventure with humor and took amazing care of us. If we are ever back in FoCo we will definitely be booking a trip on the Poudre with RMA.

Went in late August 2021. Five of us total and we all had a great time. Dillon was a great guide and lead us through the rocky waters expertly. The river was very low and rocks were more visible than usual. The RMA team made it fun with humor injected appropriately throughout the whole experience. The bus driver had some serious mountain driving skills as well. Looking forward to a return trip in June of 2022

He talked us into doing a tad more vigorous rapid, (he wasn't trying to upsell us, but we were the only two that selected the lesser rapids and he was just letting us know that we would be getting off the river and rejoining. It was easier for everyone if we just stayed on the entire time.) We both enjoyed it thoroughly. Our guide, (his name escapes me, sorry! I know he is from Salida), was unbelievable and so accommodating of my daughter the entire time, making sure she was okay. He was SO nice and friendly and really funny. He also pointed out local points of interest that was pretty interesting. This is a great place and is the only place that I would go through for rafting in Fort Collins.

Also the process to buy pictures was absolutely ridiculous. There was no organization in it at all. We had to sit and watch slideshows to find what number pic ours was to buy. Seems like there is a way to make that an easier process for your customers. Would most definitely do again from this company but I do believe they could make some improvements on the photography and the way pictures are sold.

You can choose wet suits, dry jackets etc... It was 75 degrees in July here so our family split between wet suits and dry jackets. The latter was the better choice. You take a 30 minute school bus ride and some quick safety instructions (thanks Erico!) And then get assigned to your boat. Ours included 8 of us and a guide. Honestly that was too much but okay. Our guide was Tristan who was fantastic. Funny and engaging with fun facts along the way. But more importantly you could tell he was taking safety seriously. In the midst of…read moreCOVID, the entire Mad staff did an amazing job ensuring all protocols were in order to keep everyone safe which is very important during these times. We had a party of 10: 7 adults & 3 kids and we all had such a great time. Quick heads up for those planning to make a trip here - our check in time was 8:30am and we didn't get on the water until about 10-10:30am. During that time, the staff gears you up with equipment and very important information before heading out to the water. After that, the bus drive over to the water is about 25 mins. You're out on the water for about 1.5 hours - and we got back around 12:30-12:45pm. This is really important for anyone planning time wise! All staff members were incredibly kind and helpful! Our guide on the bus was Emily and was such a joy to have, not to mention, absolutely hilarious! Our boat guide was Joe, who we absolutely adored! He had such high spirit and also had a bunch of great facts throughout the ride. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our time and we hope to do this again next time we are in CO, and especially under better circumstances. Highly recommended!

I had a blast white water rafting down the Colorado River with Mad Adventures. When you arrive to…read moretheir store location it's about 30 minutes of admin stuff before you load the buses to head for the launch point. You fill out the wavier paperwork, get a speech from one of the workers, and go through the line to your life jacket and paddle. They also have shoes for rent if you need them. The bus ride to the launch point is about 30 minutes. The staff do their best to keep everyone entertained while your on the bus; telling jokes, telling you facts about landmarks, and the local area. When you get to the launch point it's about another 15 minutes before you get on your raft. They go through another 5-7 minute speech about the water, how to maneuver, and all the safety stuff (just in case crap goes wrong). Then they split you up into groups and you load the raft. We truly had a blast on the raft and I never felt like I was at risk of injury, or unsafe through the entire ride. From start to finish it was about a 2 hour trip; but it went by really fast. I could have rode the river for at least another 1-2 hours. It was super chill and some of the rough waters (class II and III) didn't last long but made the ride very exciting. We did stop for about 30 minutes at a point where you can jump off a cliff. There is a 25 foot cliff as well as a small jump spot for kids (my 4 year old jumped from the small spot). I did go up to the 25 foot jump (along with about 30 other people). Jumping was not a problem at all because you walk up to the edge and simply walk off for the jump. They don't give you anytime to look around, think, or get scared. 30 people jumped off in less than 7-8 minutes. It felt great!! The ride back to the main store was much shorter; about 15 minutes. Overall we had a great time and it was well worth it.

The ranch is owned by the Prince family, and has been since 1992. They can accommodate over 40 guests, but you would never know that there were that many people in the ranch because their attention to detail and guest obsession is top notch. Everything they do is all about that single guest. All of the ranch hands are top notch. They excel in character, respect, and manners for all of the guests. The ranch activities range from horseback riding, to skeet shooting, to fly fishing and much more. Almost all of those activities are included in the package, except white water rafting and massages. The owners, Christine and Dickie Prince, make sure the experience lives up to each and every guest's expectation. Each horseback ride is different and exciting. The chief wrangler, Madii, paired up each guest with the perfect horse for the week, and honestly, it was a magical week. At the end of the week, they hold a guest rodeo, where each of the guests compete against one another in events like barrel racing, pole bending, and keyhole racing. All in all, it is a very exciting trip. I brought my wife and my two grown children to this ranch and they were drawn in to its charm and, frankly, we were all sad to see the week end. We were treated like family the entire time we were there and have already committed to return next year. While we were there, we discovered this ranch was chosen by USA Today as the #1 dude ranch in America. We researched 14 ranches before picking this one and we agree with USA Today. If you are looking for the perfect family vacation away from the commercialism that is typical of all inclusive vacations, I highly recommend Cherokee Park Ranch. Your family might end the week like mine - missing the comradery, the fun, and the attachments made that will last a lifetime. If I could give this ranch more than 5 stars, I definitely would do so. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it!
