ok im not one to leave a review for anyone ever but there are really no words to exactly explain how professional and experienced the plumber was that came out to my house yesterday evening, 1st of all kevin was very polite and concerned with every aspect of my problem from coming into the house with boot covers to laying down drop cloth on my carpeted steps to cleaning up after the job was complete, he stood confident, professional, patient with me throughout the entire job, he explained to me the way all of my underground plumbing was installed when the house was built in a very easy to understand way, while in my house he also noticed that my water heater was not venting out the chimney properly and that it needed to be fixed asap, he cemented the gaping hole next to the vent pipe for free while he was actually there to snake my sewer out, he took the time to point out and fix something that could have been serious, he charged me 150.00 to snake out my sewer and other big name companies wanted 265.00 and up, he recommended annual snakings because of the huge pine trees my neighbor has growing into my sewer, thank you so much kevin and your assistant i will only call you for anything from now on. I have a rental home in Redford, Michigan and needed assistance in clearing a kitchen drain. They responded and worked with my tenant to find a good time. Once they cleared the drain, they advised that my outside drain was clogged. Thank you for finding this -- otherwise, I would have had a problem in the basement. They were very clean in getting their work done, cleaned up, and were very professional. As to the price, I could not have been happier. The outside drain was not a "hard sale" like with other plumbing companies, but information (and a very reasonable price) if I would like it done right then. If not, they would be available when I wanted it handled -- and even that price was still very reasonable. A day or two later, I had another problem with the bathroom, and they came back - determined it was the caulking around the tub. This time, though, I was informed that it would need to be done, but I had time to wait on this repair. That was good to hear and I appreciated the honesty. I have put A1 Bargain in my roladex and will be referring him to my family in the Detroit/Redford area and surrounding. I can't say enough good things about A 1 Plumbing. I discovered I had a major sewer problem which one company said they had to dig up my basement AND a 10 x 10 area in the floor in my family room which is on a cement slab. I called A 1 and Kevin told me not to do anything until he came over. He explained how his company could fix the problem without tearing up my family room. Kevin hired 2 men to remove items I stored in my basement. (I am older and was not able to do this) A large area was needed for their equipment. They were very courteous all the while they worked. The next day his crew arrived at 9:00 a.m. & went to work. They were able to dig outside beyond my house & patio & also in my basement. By 8:00 p.m. the work was finished & my basement floor was finished! The service was excellent!! AND he saved me $2000 from the first company I called! Great Company! Out of the many plumbers I called, they were one of the few that actually answered the phone instead of having you leave a message. Over the phone they were polite and courteous, and gave me an immediate quote based on what I told him the problem was (Food from the garbage disposal, stuck in the tree roots in the main line which are an issue with my house, needed to be snaked to the street line) The plumber, Kevin, was able to come to my house within just a couple of hours. Once here, he was polite and meticulous, taking the time to trouble shoot a few things before he snaked it. The issue was not where I thought it was and therefore he charged me LESS than originally quoted! He also discussed some less expensive preemptive things that we could do in the future to prevent the issues with the tree roots. Had 4 different people to try to snake the drain. The third guy he had his snake stuck 75 ft into our drain and could not remove it and left and still took money for the job he could not finish. So, at 6pm we start calling plumbers who can take the snake out of the drain and nobody would come till the next day. Luckily, we found A1 Bargain online and after explaining what happened with the snake being in our drain and sticking out of the floor he came out to rescue us from our bad ordeal. Not only did he get 75 feet of snake stuck in the pipe out he was also able to free up the tree roots and get our drain flowing so we can now use our water again. Thanks Kevin and his team for making our night a night of clean rest and no worries about the water backing up. WONDERFUL!! My remodel job stopped when the toilet wouldn't flush. He was the only one that could make it out in a couple hours on a holiday weekend. They snaked out all my drains and looked at the plumbing leaks that were discovered when the walls were taken down. Kevin quoted me (after talking extensivly with my carpenter) to redo ALL the plumbing in my house and NOT route it thru the cement foundation. He had a crew of 3 working and got the job done as promised, within 2 days. I have all brand new plumbing. I have the most amazing water pressure now!! Kevin came to evaluate a plumbing issue that my building maintenance man said that I had (leaking from my tub pipe down into the unit below me) and despite of the maintenance man's assessment and of him saying that my pipe need to be replaced, kevin professionally and thoroughly evaluated the alleged problem using his own skills and knowledge and told me that the alleged problem that the maintenance man said did not exist. And that there is truly a leaking at the but that the leak is from the man downstairs condo. Kevin could have just replaced everything and charged me an arm and a leg but he didn't which shows that he is honest and not trying to take advantage of his customers. I had a big plumbing problem and called three companies for estimates. A1 Bargain Plumbing gave me the best quote. Kevin and Archie came out and went right to work. They scoped the line and used a sewer auger, when that didn't do the job Kevin's son came out and jetted the line. The jetting cleaned the line so well I could see the color of the pipe. It became a very complicated job but Kevin and his crew did an excellent job at a excellent price. Kevin is courteous, professional and a really nice guy. He knew I was in a difficult situation and really worked with me much more than I feel anyone else would have. We anticipate future work and A1 will be the only company I use. very honest plumber, I called another big name company and they wanted to dig up my whole basement floor, i called a1 bargain and asked them for a 2nd estimate because I really believed that I needed to replace my entire sewer, kevin came out and told me it just needed a snaking out, he did so and then camera scoped it for me and showed me that it was only grease blockage and laundry debri, I would highly recommend them to everyone and will only use them from now on. god bless you guys. best plumber in Michigan ! McQuaid came out the day after Christmas to evaluate my boiler that was leaking Carbon Dioxide . They sent a crew out to replace my boiler the very next day.
