Joe Sr and his sons are not braggarts, so please let me. I first heard about this special shop on YouTube. Ammonyc brought a project car to them and this made a lasting impact on me. Larry is as OCD as I maintaining equipment, belongings, and our vehicles. So, when my Volvo was gifted a parking lot "rub" I contacted J and B. Cindy was my first contact, what a sweet interaction that helped put me at ease. Upon drop off, Joe Sr. came over to introduce himself and listen. There is no overstatement or under deliver with this man, beyond which he would drop me at a rental car pickup. He personally remained in contact. No little detail escaped his team. All of which are genuine and concentrated on delivering an experience and your car to you better then you could hope. I was anxious, fearing how this could be sorted and return my car to perfection. Joe and His Son came over on delivery to walk and check in. They are a delight and their business is simply incredible. Genuine, kind, warm, experts of their craft. My review is solely related to the pricing quoted to repaint my McLaren. My car had some paint damage and I was referred to this shop because they are a McLaren Factory Certified Collision Repair Program authorized bodyshop. McLaren does not release paint codes so as an owner we are forced to have paint work done at "authorized McLaren" repair shops to get matching paint. Shockingly I was quoted over $20,000 to repaint about 1/4 of my car by J & B bodywork's. The reason for this one star review is that I decided to take my car to another authorized McLaren body shop ( Flower hill Autobody ) and they quoted me $13,000 for the same work. Another authorized McLaren autobody shop also quoted $13,000. Just be aware that there are other nearby authorized shops with more reasonable pricing. read more

J&B body shop was apparently the body shop that Land Rover New Rochelle uses for their service. Our car had a small slit on it by the wheel well with no other damage, it seemed odd and wasn't terrible by any means. The dealer said it was under warranty and they would repair it, they then sent it to this body shop. Aparently the body shop then called LR and wasn't something of warranty but they could "repair it". The result was so bad that it looks like someone took white out and glue and fixed the car. I hope they make good on this and it was not supposed to be returned this way. They even got white paint on the bumper. . . I feel like I got punked They also kept my car for weeks. Quick Summary Points for those who understandably decide not to read my long review: J&B returned my car in worse condition than when it arrived, J&B stole my battery tender and damaged my tire without accepting responsibility, owner is hostile, owner is a liar, terrible communication. In other words: do NOT come here! I chose J&B Body Works because their online ratings were high. I now realize that not all these reviews are legitimate! On May 11, 2022, my McLaren was damaged, and brought to J&B Body Works. Insurance company authorized the repair in June. I was assured that the car would be done by July 2022; the owner contacted me directly to inform me that work has begun. Last week of July, I called the body shop to coordinate to pick it up, and I was told then that they did not start working on it, even though I was told that they began working on it weeks prior. They said 3 more weeks which is August, call them a few days prior, and lo and behold, I am informed that they did not even begin working on it! Now in September, the owner told me that he had already started some aspects of the repair. In October, I called J&B, and the owner tells me that the car still is not done yet. At this point I decided to contact McLaren Headquarters directly. McLaren contacted the owner of J&B, and they said that the owner told them it would be done shortly, so I waited. When I called the owner, he told me that he had not started repairing. When asked why, even though he was already paid, he stated that "I just don't feel like it. I don't want to. You don't tell me what to do." I contacted McLaren. The owner decides to completely IGNORE McLaren, as well as myself, and just ghost both of us for a few weeks. McLaren is conveying to me that they are shocked at the unprofessionalism. I drove by the shop to see my car, and I could not find it. I went into the shop and asked where they store cars, and they told me the location. The day before I planned to come back to the body shop and search that location, I got a call from the owner that they are working on my car, and it is looking good. He tells me that it will be done soon. I contacted the owner the following week, pertaining to if it is done, and he ghosts me, and now we are in December when my car should have been done. Shortly thereafter, I went to the location where the receptionist told me they keep the cars that have not yet been seen or worked on, hoping I wouldn't find it there. I went to the location, and the car was sitting there, exposed to the elements, in a worse condition than when it arrived. I went down to the shop and demanded to speak to the owner since he not only lied about completing the work on my car but stored my car in such an unprofessional manner exposed to the elements with the window down and door open! Keep in mind this is a garage that any person can enter, not a private or secure location. The owner tries to gaslight me saying "I want to do it right", so that is why he has not started to work on it. He repeatedly makes excuses. I received a phone call that my repair is done at the end of January 2023. I am happy since I can finally get my car and never come back place again! When I arrive, they make me wait over an hour. J&B not only improperly repaired my car, but they made it worse! They STOLE my Battery Tender, damaged my tire, and then stated it was due to the weather, even though every other tire was fine. Since J&B "repaired" my car, the door does not fully close. They failed to reinstall the paint protection film (PPF) that they were paid to on my car door. I called my insurance and they were able to take back their money from J&B for not repairing what they were paid to repair. To this day, over a year after my first encounter and 8 months after I got my car back in horrendous condition, the owner still reaches out to me asking if I can give him another chance. And yes, he still proceeds to gaslight me and refuses to accept responsibility for his intentional negligence and borderline-criminal behavior. As someone who has been here, I would avoid J&B and their hostile owner at all costs! If the next body shop is 5 hours away and J&B is 5 minutes, I would choose the shop 5 hours away. My dream car turned into a nightmare, but only after I brought it to J&B. Don't let my experience become your experience as well; save your car while you still can! read more

When my Tesla Model S 100D got banged up in an accident, I called into a few certified repair shops to make sure I found the best one. J&B Body was about 45 minutes away from me but it had great reviews. From the moment I first spoke with Desiree (or better yet as I've come to think of her as the Tesla Whisperer), I quickly understood why. It was clear I was dealing with a first class organization. It felt like the difference between walking into a crowded low rated hospital and a premier top ranked one. She reassured me that they would deliver me my car back as if it were brand new. I felt reassured and comfortable this was the place I needed. While Tesla is unfortunately notorious for their slow delivery of parts, I appreciated that J&B kept a lot of common parts in stock. All throughout the repair process I got frequent updates by phone and text. They took care of making sure I didn't have any issues with the adjuster approving any of the items they questioned including the paint protection film they restored. When I was able to come and pick up my car, I saw first hand how happy all of the staff here were and how they pride themselves in being a customer centered business. Recently, J&B BODYWORKS did an absolutely phenomenal job on repairing my 2009 Cadillac CTS4 (with a little over 80,000 miles)! My car was deeply keyed along 90-95% of the whole passenger side; the front passenger door was kicked, and the bottom of the rear passenger door & adjacent skirt was damaged, as well. I cried when I saw the damage; I love my car and its unique body style! And I was very worried about having it repaired to my quality standards. Fortunately, I followed AMMO NYC on YouTube and discovered that he was greatly impressed by and spoke highly of J&B BODYWORKS' expertise, well-equipped facility, significant attention to detail and overall care. I met with Joe Izzo (an owner) and his son Mike and they immediately assured me that my car would be treated as well as the Ferraris, Bentleys, Lamborghinis and other high-end cars that this shop is uniquely certified to repair by the manufacturers. Joe also went above and beyond in working closely with my insurance company adjuster to ensure that the needed repairs were covered within the insurance company's limitations and avoided the car being 'totaled' due to its age and the extent of the damage. Every repair took between 3 to 5 weeks to complete. The adjusters they work with priced those repair jobs on my car at the most expensive level. They didn't perform all of the work described on estimates. I had to come back three times to have their work corrected. They Never did the right thing first time. Well, it's never fun to need a body shop but when life throws a curve ball at your car (or a full on accident) - you should entrust your vehicle to Joe at J & B Body works. As for me? Well, In 2 years, I've entrusted him 3 times, and 3 times he has always gone above and beyond to make the entire process as seamless as possible. 2012 Audi A8L was sliced open by a drunk street salter vehicle who was reversing down the wrong way on a one way street. Literally - sliced the passenger side of the vehicle in half like a tin can. Joe fixed it and it looked brand new. UNREAL talent here. 1 year later, the same Audi was parked when someone wasn't paying attention and slammed into the front. Joe fixed it up and again, came back looking brand new. Fast forward a year later, our 2016 Range Rover LWB was stuck in traffic when someone slammed into the rear of the truck. Again, Joe fixed it with no headache - giving updates along the way. There are hundreds of body shops around - but I wouldn't take my cars to anyone else. I simply don't trust anyone else - especially when I see how others do the work (or don't do the work actually). J & B is the best! I was looking for a body shop to do a PERFECT job on my Audi, which had a legitimate hole in it, because I've had AWFUL experiences in the past with other shops. My car came out of J&B looking like it was brand new. The girls in the office were WONDERFULLY patient with me, and Joe & his boys were so kind & welcoming every time I walked in, practically treating me like family. It's a long story, most of it was bad. I went in to the shop for an estimate. They took my personal details, together with my credit card information, but I had to wait a 2 full days till I finally got the estimate itself. I ended up going with another shop (where they were much more professional), but they withdrew a $560 deposit for the parts I never actually agreed to order --- they withdrew it before I even had the estimate. I called them 3 times until I got someone to talk to, but still, the final result is that I can take the parts (no refund). This was a terrible way to deal with customers, and I do not recommend this shop to anyone. You can't deduct a deposit before your customer knows what she is going to pay for! After this, I ended up going with insurance, and they said they can only give me the refund if I go with them. So what can I do, I did. It took FOUR weeks for them to replace my rear bumper. 4 weeks! I never got any update, but had to call like every day, and they always said it will be ready the next day. They did do a nice job with it, and in person, they are really nice. But in 4 weeks, you could fix a totaled car. Overall, do not recommend it unless you have ample time. read more

When I had an accident, I was advised by a friend to send my car to this body shop even though they were located about an hour away from me. Staff were very helpful working with the insurance company and the company went out of their way to make sure my car was fixed according to manufacturers guidelines. You will see plenty of Italian and German sports cars here for a reason. The body shop suggested I make some cosmetic improvements which required custom work. The entire transaction was very smooth and my 10 month old Audi car came back looking much better than before it went in. Quality of workmanship is very high. Keep in mind they will need your car longer than the average shop. Custom modifications, adhering to OEM guidelines and the high quality of work takes time, no matter how big or small a job. So me and my boyfriend had an interesting experience with JB body works. I'll Start with the bad first they had the car Audi RS4 for 9weeks. No a lot of communication in the beginning but the finished results are undeniably good! Angie in the front office is the best she's kind and very funny and tries her best to get you answers to all of your questions and concerns right away! Despite the fact that we were without the vehicle for two months it looked awesome. Drove it home and noticed there were a couple of issues that got over looked and brought the car back and Joe promptly took the car back fixed the issues and returned it within 3days with no issues. To say the least the work they do on vehicles is excellent the time frame not so much but it's sort of worth the weight because they only deal with high end vehicles and treat them with complete care! read more

Joe the manager is a super nice guy who spent a lot of time with me to not only go over the repair options after spending considerable time inspecting and disassembling the front of my vehicle. His team performed what was effectively a majority of the repair without using any new parts or charging me for their time, while leaving me with the option as to whether I want to return to have the full repair done. This was customer service and integrity beyond anything I could have expected. Also of note, the facility is very impressive in terms of being super clean, enormous and very well staffed with knowledgeable and experienced technicians and specialists, as well as filled with more than a dozen very high sports and luxury cars. I purchased a car with previous work performed by J & B. Unfortunately the work has not held up. I'm currently having issues with the paint. I requested information about the work they performed and they refused to provide anything. They wouldn't even admit they did the work after the Porsche dealership told me they did. So much for standing behind your work and trying to resolve a problem... I've been trying to get to the bottom of this for two weeks. Proceed with extreme caution. The initial work looked good but does not last. And when you try to get it repaired, they will look for ways to avoid helping you. In my case they said it was company policy. read more

Wrong place and the wrong time resulted in a hit and run to my 2018 Corolla. I was so upset! A friend recommended J and B Auto Works in my home town to do the repairs. Now for those who are familiar with J and B you know the kind of autos that they repair...holy moly!!! And I have a Corolla (which I do love)...which was attended to with the same amazing care and flawless repairs as the upscale vehicles that are there.
