I was forced mostly by my HOA to replace two perfectly good skylights. The problem is John was in my crawl space because we had a known mold issue that we determined was caused by improper venting which he said was a simple fix and would be easily addressed when we replaced the roof. I was not going to replace the skylights, as long as they were intact and I have them in my possession because Im suing my HOA. When I told A-1 that I have to sue my HOA for the cost fo the skylights, he laughed and thought it was funny, however he did later apologize for laughing. He was willing to let me keep the skylights but he wanted a waiver within a 5 foot perimeter of the skylight and my HOA wanted me to attach the waiver to my deed or the work would not be done. My skylight has nothing to do with the roof area that extends 5 feet beyond the skylight, it was a loophole for future repairs. They leaked once in several months even though it rained numerous times in that time frame. The skylights were never the issue, it was bandaid repairs over years of a bad roof. Johns crew caused a lot of damage to my neighbors side of the house, gutters, siding etc. A-1 admitted in a text message that he discussed with my HOA that I was responsible for the vent issue and rather than tell me he was no longer going to vent my roof, he did the roof repair without addressing the vent issue. I texted John at 5:24 pm to confirm he addressed the vent issue with the HOA without reaching back to me and he confirmed this. He was angry that I reached out to him after business hours which ended at 5pm. Also if you prefer to hire companies that hire American workers, this is not your company, there were approximately 5 people working on the roof and from listening to the conversations none of them spoke English. IM happy to see they are trying to make a living but there are plenty of roofers in SNH that are self employed and trying to make a living themselves. The roof was repaired first week in September and my neighbor is still waiting for her damages to be addressed. John, you could have vented the roof as we discussed, I told you Id pay for the entire roof myself in order to get it done, you laughed at the thought of a lawsuit over skylights, you have not repaired the damage to my neighbors property, it looks like you hire illegals, we could have resolved this but you wanted to sell us 4 skylights and hid behind the HOA for cover, good riddance, you deserve this single star rating. read more
