Five stars all around. Fast service, responsive, employees, and just overall great customer service. I found Clovis Auto Shop on Yelp and called about my Honda CRV. I explained what the issue was and scheduled an appointment for drop off the following week. Yes, the following week! This place is busy and now I understand why. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday at 8 AM and by the early afternoon they called me and had identified the problem(s). Luckily for me, I just needed a few spark plugs and other items replaced, topped off, and cleaned. I was told my car would be done by EOD the following day Wednesday or possibly Thursday. To my delight a customer had canceled their appointment and I took their place. My car was done and ready to go by 10 am Wednesday! My car is running so much smoother and has way more get up and go. I went in for a smog check on a Saturday morning. I did not have an appointment. They were efficient and got the job done. Price was around $60 for a 2015 vehicle, which I thought was reasonable. Location is particularly convenient, on Clovis Avenue. There are so many cute shops and places to stop and eat. You are welcome to hang out in their lobby and they make it very hospitable with snacks and beverages available. However, I chose to go walk around for a little while while I waited for my car. Had to get one car smogged and looked on Yelp and this place popped up and I am really glad it did. I called the day before and made an appointment for a smog test. It was $42 all together which is a great price . They were fast and efficient . The shop itself was nice and easy to get to. It's right on Clovis avenue next to the kwik gas station. I've been bringing my cars here for years. They have always been honest, courteous, and professional. I just took a car to a stealership. Just took my vehicle here for check engine light issues. They did a great job in resolving all of the codes that were listed in the code reader. The car is running a lot smoother now and there are no incomplete monitors showing. Since I moved to Clovis several years ago, I have tried several auto shops and have always felt overcharged or cheated. This has been the only place where I have had reliable work completed, they also do not push for unnecessary repairs and are very honest with what needs or should be fixed. We took our Toyota in for oil change and brakes. They found that the oil filter was over tightened and had to replace the housing because they were unable to get the filter off normally, they got new rotors, turned them, and Front pads. I had a liscense plate bulb out and was replaced no charge. Over all they were professional, kept us informed, and reasonable charges. I'm SO impressed with the service I receive here every time. They don't try to charge you for things you don't need and they make you feel like you and your car really matter to them. I have a lifetime oil change with Hyundai Lithia and they do inspection when I take my car in so they can try to sell me other services since my oil changes are free. They told me I had about 6 different things wrong with my car. I called Clovis Auto Shop and right away they quoted me less than what Hyundai Lithia was going to charge me. When I went to my appointment, they did a 46 point inspection and sent me a text message with a link to a detailed description with pictures. Out of the 6 things that Hyundai Lithia was trying to sell me, they only recommend 1. Instead of the $500+ I was expecting to spend, I only paid $200. I am SO thankful that Clovis Auto Shop can be ho est with me about what my car needs and doesn't need. I love that they didn't try to take advantage of me and I appreciate their accommodating customer service. I'm extremely happy with the service that I received here and I will never go anywhere else for my car needs. read more

I took my car in for an alignment 2 months ago because I had some previous parts replaced. I asked them if they could fit my lowered car on their lift for my alignment and they said yes. So, I left my car there and they called to tell me I needed new tires. If I wasn't going to get new tires they recommended not doing an alignment until I get new tires. Fast forward to today, my front passenger tire blew out. After taking both front tires off my vehicle, I noticed both tires were bald in the inner portion of the tire. I called about their warranty on my tires and they refused to replace my tires because my car is modified - (lowered). After 3 separate professional opinions, I communicated with Clovis Auto Shop that my tire blew out because of their alignment, not because of the lowered vehicle. Clovis Auto Shop stated that was not what happened. The reason the tire blew out was because the car is lowered and both tires are rubbing on the wheel well and partial frame at ALL speeds, which is not true. I took my car elsewhere to have it realigned and was told the camber was fine, but whoever did the alignment was way off by 4 degrees and is the reason my tire blew. I've gone to this place multiple times and have had great service; however, due to this issue, I will not be returning to this establishment. I genuinely feel robbed because my car has been lowered for 7 years and have NEVER run into an issue like this previously. GOOD LUCK TO ANYONE WHO COMES WITH A MODIFIED VEHICLE. read more

My Sonata with a 2.0 turbo engine was in limp mode (wouldn't accelerate, check engine chiming, knock noise). When I called they couldn't get me in for a week and said they were charging me $229 upfront to look at it! Thankfully I did my own work looking into the issue. It's a WIDELY KNOWN engine issue with Hyundai's that there is now a lifetime guarantee in the engines from the dealer. No diagnosis fee. Nothing. To ruthlessly charge people $229 knowing what it is? Or if they "didn't know" what kind of business doesn't stay up on warranties? Felt like they were being scummy. read more
