My grandparents sold their million dollar home in a very nice community, & they had to be out on a Sunday by noon. So they booked them for noon. These movers told my grandparents that they had to move them a day earlier because they were "too busy" that Sunday. So my grandparents were scrambling to get everything done in time. My fiancee & I brought them breakfast on Saturday morning, because we knew they were moving Sunday. We just pulled in when the moving trucks pulled in. The manager told my fiancee that he couldn't park anywhere in the driveway or beside the road at all, because they needed that room. So he had to park at a local elementary school & wait for me. The movers were mostly nice, but their manager was very demanding. My Grandma got back from doing some ladt minute errands, & wanted to eat breakfast with me, but the manager came upstairs and literally said "We need to get everything out of the basement right now." When my Grandma asked her if she could eat first, the manager straight up said "No," & reprated herself. So my Grandma had to go down there & show her everything. In the end, I ate for a few minutes, gave my grandparents a hug & left, because they were so stressed. The only thing that the movers did that was helpful was tell my Mom that my Grandparents belongings had arrived at their new house, because they weren't allowed to move in there yet. But my grandparents, having dementia, had to sleep at a Dollar General that night, & then borrow a phone at that store to call my Mom to stay with her. The movers didn't even let them borrow a cell phone. This company took advantage of my grandparents, & I would never, ever recommend using them to anyone whatsoever.

    Do not use Bellhop if you care about your belongings, because they certainly don't!…read more Using this service is like playing russian roulette with your moving team. The team I received was untrained, unprofessional, disrespectful of my possessions, stole an item, tried to get in a fight with one of my buildings maintenance workers and cost me thousands of dollars beyond the thousands I was paying for the move. Some people may get lucky and have a good experience. I did not. It took weeks to get a canned response to my damage claims with the end result being $0.60/pound on damaged items. What that means is a $400 payment on over $4K in damages. And the $100 item that was stolen (not damaged)... $2.00 reimbursement! Even when speaking to the moving company that was contracted, they admitted to every shortcoming, fired the employees that were involved, and stated I shouldn't be charged for this move. Going back to Bellhop, I received very little support and even less compensation. I'm sure they will say "this is a rare occurrence" and "they're sorry for the inconvenience," but this was more of a violation than an inconvenience with Bellhop being the only ones walking away happy. Don't risk it. Hire someone who cares, will stand behind their brand, and will probably even be cheaper. DON'T USE BELLHOP.

But the company totally messed up this entire thing! We had a long distance, move scheduled and significant things went wrong. The truck did not show up to pick up the furniture, When it finally did show up 14 hours late there had to be a whole new crew to pack and load the truck. They did not finish until after midnight! In the process of loading the truck there was significant damage to a door within the home we were moving out of. Also after having described in detail, all that was to be brought with the move the movers still left behind and exercise equipment. It was just one machine that could easily have been moved out of the unit by removing a bedroom door off of the hinges. They were refused to do so, and left the machine behind without any warning. The next issue was that the truck was still to arrive on time at its destination with all of our materials. It did not arrive until nine hours later than we were told. In the meantime, Work crew came and left because the truck was not there and did not return. Therefore, we had to unload the truck ourselves into our new home. Throughout the two days of the loading and unloading every phone call I had with the people at Bell hops help line would promise different things that never came true! If I could count the number of untruth that I was told Throughout those two days I don't know if I could count! Trying to make this right the company provided 15% of the cost of the move back to us! That no way will pay for the cost of shipping the exercise machine or for the frustration that we had!I did receive a payment for the damage to the door in the furniture which was satisfactory. Other than that, I would never use this company ever ever! As of now, I am waiting to hear back from a supervisor about the possibility of moving the machine that was left behind. If they end up shipping that to us or getting it to us in someway, then I will for sure post another review to amend my information here so everyone knows the true nature of the company.

    Do you enjoy messaging for an ETA over 2 hours and never getting one and then having them act…read moresurprised when you finally leave? I first messaged politely for an ETA at 12:45. I was contacted at 2-they were down a person but certain they could still do it. The team would send me an ETA directly. By 2:45 i asked about that ETA and said if it was going to be about 4 I'd rather reschedule (it's winter, i want people to be safe and it gets dark early) No response. No eta. After an hour of waiting for an ETA i messaged a cancelation and left. 15 min after all that, several hours after my first request for eta, they arrived and claimed they held up their end of the bargain. Waiting on a refund--after all one of my first texts involves being told I would get an ETA and I was very proactive in asking for one multiple times. Edit: I feel certain that they will refute this, but I have screenshots With time stamps. Their " Multiple calls to send an ETA" We're at most three back-to-back calls 15 minutes after I had texted to cancel because I had not gotten an ETA... And do they count as an ETA if they're actually at your house and there's no voicemail?

The crew showed up late, spent a lot of time on their phones and smoking, then went over their scheduled time and still expected me to pay for it. The owner talks a big game about being professional, but he won't answer calls and only texts using AI to send his replies. Save yourself the headache and go with someone more reliable and honest.
