After a verbal disagreement, the manager accussed me of doing the damage on transport and I should have inspected the glass before leaving on the 1st pick up. Why did you wrapp them up if its your practice to show the customer the finished product? Clearly you didnt show me the 1st time. You showed me after I picked the panels up the 2nd time and accussed me of scratching the glass. Keep in mind we live in a gated community with "No Soliciting" signs on our gates. Not sure how an Andersen employee got in but he did and was knocking on doors. The salesperson gave his pitch and I explained I'm not interested and the last quote I received was overpriced. He then went on to explain how the company was bought out and that our previous quote was pre-covid and the prices are better now with certain "deals" they are offering. I again declined and he just kept going on about pricing, energy conservation, he even made comments about our solar screens on the back of the home telling me how cheap those are and don't actually do anything. I am happy with our shutters and the solar screens. They actually help a good bit! The reason for this review is because of the pushy sales tactics of your employees along with talking bad about other options we have on our homes to keep costs down without paying you guys outrageous prices! When your salespeople are told "no" that's not an invitation to ask 10 more times and become more pushy. Your Yelp reviews speak for themselves and I urge people to read those reviews before making a decision based on Google reviews. We all know Google reviews can be bought! As this was our first experience searching for window replacement services, we didn't quite know what to expect. Universal Windows Direct of Las Vegas was the first company to stop by our residence. It was a same day appointment. As soon as we called in, a team member arrived at our house in the evening. We informed the team member about several of our windows and the crack in one of the panes. After inspecting the windows, he had taken all the necessary measurements. From there, we went down to discuss quotes. A example window replacement was provided. He had mentioned it would be better to replace all of the windows in the house to match since the new design would look completely different from the builder grade windows we have now. After informing the team member that we were really just looking into the 3 windows in the upstairs bedrooms, the team member provided the quote. Was quoted by a different company $4,500 to replace it and that price was unacceptable as it cost me $8,200 to replace all my other windows including a new sliding patio door recently. So I found this company who was able to replace parts of it and save me a lot of money. A tech was sent out to measure and provide an estimate (sorry cannot remember his name) he quoted for all 6 pieces as I asked but told me I only needed to change 2 if I was going to do any of it. The 2 main pieces had dust and dirt in between the panes so I could never get the window clean. After I decided to move forward I scheduled the install and Marlo showed up and was very professional and polite. He did the job very quickly and when he was removing the 2 old glass panes we discovered that they had completely failed as the outer pieces of glass separated from the inner spacer in effect leaving me with single pane glass.
