I have been waiting six months to have my kitchen window fixed and getting a paid receipt. Keep getting the run around saying the part is coming in next week and Eileen will call. I still have not received that call it's been three weeks. I cannot open the window all the way. I gave a good review when the windows were installed. Had I known that I would go through such a problem to have my window fixed I would have given a different review. Be careful using them. read more

I was happy with the job that Robert and his crew did installing my home depot windows. Again I bought the from home depot and they hired him to install them. Robert is a kind person and easy to talk to. I hired him independent of home depot to update my flooring new tile, part of this was to include installing new baseboard as well as doing some grout and tile work on my fire place. I travel often and it's not always easy for me to be around, I had a friend stay in the home while the tile flooring was installed, this went well to a point. I asked Robert several times for a written quote which I never got and neither did I get a receipt, in the end he gave me a price and I made the check out to a third party. I was told he'd finish the job he started. Now 2 months later I've given up and in fact due to his lack of detail I have hired someone else to finish the jobs he started. He does not have his email address on his card, hard to reach by phone, I'm disappointed as I know he has the capability to do a good job, in my case I was let down :(. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. First, we were told we could change the size of our patio door initially, then when they came back to measure told us we couldn't. Should have been a red flag then. We signed a contract in March for a replacement door and kitchen window. It was supposed to be installed mid June. We called them in mid July and were told they couldn't find our order. We had to send them a copy of the contract. After several back and forth calls and our request to just cancel the whole order, we were connected to Theresa who told us we couldn't cancel because the door was ordered in March. She accused us of lying about the number of times we called. When my husband said he could show her his call log, her response was she would like to see it. So we sent her three screenshots with all the calls made to them. Silence from them. They did finally offer us $300 back (off a total bill of $7600). At that point, they charged our credit card for the balance owed. More phone calls to get that reversed. The end of August we get a call that the door is in and they wanted to schedule installation. We were out of town until mid September, so told Patty to set it up for then. Two days later they show up at the house to install when we weren't there. Our son was getting ready to leave and told them no. Fast forward to installation in September and the door is missing the keyed entry and the window was smaller than the original so they added fillers. We are still waiting for the keyed entry that was in our original contract. Every week we are told it should be on the Friday truck. Horrible customer service from the office. The installers, though, were very professional and efficient. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, We ordered windows a year ago, waited forever to get due to Covid, once we got it, 3 windows and a framing was incorrect. Can back 3 other times to replace it only to get the wrong items each time. Called them several time and their response has always been it's the manufacturer. I don't care, we're dealing with universal windows. Reported them to BBB and no response from universal about our situation. Only competition I was offered was golden knight tickets. Don't even care for them. $35000 windows for an incomplete job and we are offered tickets to golden knight. We missed 4 days of work with no pay. You get for what you pay for! read more

My wife and I bought a fixer upper last year with the goal of gutting the inside and turning it into our dream home. We had many contractors come in and give us quotes. Robert was referred to us for a window quote and came in way more affordable than the competitors for a superior product. As he noticed the state of the house, he quickly let us know that they also do kitchens and flooring, something else we were in the market for. Again, his quotes came in way more affordable that competitors. We decided to put our trust in Robert and Universal Window Solutions for the majority of our remodel. I will be honest, the process was long and required a lot of patience, but Robert was reassuring the entire time. At times we had or doubts, but at the end of the day we are glad we trusted Robert and his team. The results spoke for themselves and we were extremely pleased with the end product. We had them install new windows throughout the home, including a 12 ft slider, a custom dutch door, and french doors. All new cabinets and counters in the kitchen and luxury vinyl plank floor in the entire house. If something did not come out perfectly, the team would start over and not leave until it was perfect. I truly respected their craftmanship, especially Daniels. The results were stunning! Let me tell you a little story to show really explain the lengths that Robert will go to please his customers. Once Robert was done with the contracted work, we decided to hire a handy man to complete our subway tile backsplash in the kitchen. The handy man ran off with our deposit money and never came back. This was 2 weeks before my mother's 60th birthday party that we had planned, and we were freaking out that our kitchen would not be complete in time for the party. I called up Robert to let him know my dilemma and he had Aldo, his right hand man, come out and finish it the week of the party. He literally finished on Friday afternoon, the day before the party. They saved the day and everyone loved the house! Robert has truly become a friend throughout this process, and I will always go to him for any of my window and door needs. If you are not in a rush and have patience for craftsmanship, I truly recommend Universal Window Solutions, I know I will refer them to my friends and family. We developed a leak in one of our biggest windows Robert and his crew installed. Robert came out and re-caulked the window saying that the caulking dried out. That was summer of 2018, just last night we received another good rain storm and window leaked profusely in upper right corner. Robert was difficult to reach last time, will try to reach him again to finally fix this problem. Our entire window sill and floor is soaked, that's how much water came in the window. Approximately a half gallon of water. This is not due to sealant, it's the vinyl window separating and a possible defect in window. Hoping for the best. Two stars is for frustration we had another leak with this window. I will update the review if I get good results and a timely answer to my phone call today. Was not impressed with this company at all. Called around to schedule estimates for my broken sliding door and every company was willing to come put their estimate in for the job accept for this one. That's ok if they don't want to do it, but they don't have to be an ass on the phone. BEWARE::: Update on Envirgreen windows and doors purchased in April of this year. BEWARE there is no warranty on these windows like they say and have in writing. Its fake. We found out after a NV Power Energy evaluation of our home that our 2 bathroom windows are not the Low E like what we purchased. The temperature when tested was 91 degree and the rest of the windows were 71 degrees. We have been trying to contact the warranty people to get this resolved since Aug of this year. They did send out two guys to get the information which they took the stickers from the windows and that was about 8 weeks ago and that's the last I have heard. I have tries six different numbers and email addresses but never heard a word. all the phone numbers that worked when first contacting them are now not working. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they have not yet heard from them either. read more

Part 2 of my review... the windows were installed on May 7th. One of the windows, the largest one in the house, cane with a cracked frame. Robert explained that he would install a new window and it would take 1 wk to receive the new window. I paid Robert IN FULL for the windows, trusting he would be back to finish the job. Today is June 28th and he has still not returned to install the last window. Meanwhile, it's 100+ degrees in Vegas and the temp window he put in, is not sealed or insulated. I have messaged him multiple times, receiving many excuses or no response. I am very happy with the windows that were installed, but VERY DISSATISFIED with the lack of follow through to complete the job. Lesson... do not pay IN FULL, for a partial job. My husband and I were left with a half demolished kitchen when our previous contractor just decided not to show up one day, and never show his face again. We have been through so much with our home remodel that I was beginning to loose faith that someone could help us. Thanks to a friend, we came across Universal Solutions! Robert Abrego Jr. is the lead, and he is so professional, kind and always on time!! Robert came by to look at our situation and he spent a lot of time taking measurements, explaining what he was going to do and how much it would cost. A couple days later, he brought over Pedro who is another key person in this group. The two of them meticulously went over all the measurements twice, talked in great detail how they were going to put up our beautiful backsplash and countertops and kitchen sink and bar. There was one problem. Our kitchen had been abandoned for so long, we were having a Christmas party and needed the kitchen to be completed before that. Robert felt very confident that they could have our kitchen finished in two days. Well, they finished the kitchen in two days!!!!! It wasn't easy, there were several obstacles that popped up, that were time consuming and there was a lot of brainstorming. Also, true to his promise... Robert and his men worked until past midnight on a Saturday- our party was the next day! One of his crew members went out and got RedBull, and they worked tirelessly! Just recently had all my windows and sliding doors changed by Universal Solutions Windows did a great job. I am Very pleased with the end result. They had the best price for the finest product out there. They are very professional and knowledgeable in what they do. The other companies I contacted for quotes were trying to charge few thousand dollars more than what I paid with Universal Solutions. When my sliding glass door shattered from the inside, I was perplexed as to how something like this could happen. Robert, with Universal Solutions Windows, came to house and said that tiny cracks can occur and when the foundation shifts just a little, that can cause the glass to shatter. I needed a new patio door and since it is over the standard size Home Depot did not have what I was looking for. I did some research and decided to go with Universal Solutions.
