We have a specialty window over our kitchen sink, a garden window that came with the house and is very old (1990's). Was quoted by a different company $4,500 to replace it and that price was unacceptable as it cost me $8,200 to replace all my other windows including a new sliding patio door recently. So I found this company who was able to replace parts of it and save me a lot of money. A tech was sent out to measure and provide an estimate (sorry cannot remember his name) he quoted for all 6 pieces as I asked but told me I only needed to change 2 if I was going to do any of it. The 2 main pieces had dust and dirt in between the panes so I could never get the window clean. After I decided to move forward I scheduled the install and Marlo showed up and was very professional and polite. He did the job very quickly and when he was removing the 2 old glass panes we discovered that they had completely failed as the outer pieces of glass separated from the inner spacer in effect leaving me with single pane glass. Looking for window repair companies, Cut Rate Glass was one of the companies that popped up on the Yelp search! When my husband and I called to book a reservation for a on site visit, the team member helped and provided us with a day on a Monday mid afternoon. Cut Rate Glass is a residential glass service company. The company does provide a broad range of glass repair, replacement, and installations. They handle everything from single pane and dual pane window replacement, custom mirror installations, sliding glass doors, and frameless shower enclosures. Albert stopped by our house. He was extremely knowledge. We had a few other companies stop by before Cut Rate Glass, and Albert walked us through the glass replacement project from start to finish! He had informed us that once we placed the order for the glass replacement that it would take up to 3 business days to receive it. Once the glass arrived, the install would take less than 4 hours! Albert provided us with pricing and let us know to call back if we were interested in moving forward. The price is great and Albert was fantastic! We haven't decided yet which company we're going to go with for the glass replacement project in our bedrooms upstairs, but I was really impressed with the customer service provided by Cut Rate Glass! read more

They were fairly priced and didn't try to rip us off like some other quotes I had gotten. The whole process was fast too. The shop also got the glass in but weren't happy with the quality so they sent it back out and had it remade. They delivered the glass and installed it. WOW! I had two other companies (one that always is advertising) and both said I needed to replace my 26 year old windows in my Summerlin home. The only problem was I have security screens (a great investment) and would have to have them removed, then reinstalled at my own additional expense and that was a deal killer. So I looked on Yelp and found Cut Rate Glass and they advertised retrofitting windows. I called for a free estimate and they sent a technician named Marlon. Marlon was great he checked all my windows and told me they were in great shape and why did I want to replace them. He showed how my windows were sealing properly and that they were argon filled, low E windows and didn't need repair or replacement except for one which lost the argon and was discolored. I was shocked that they didn't take advantage of my ignorance and took the time to patiently explain everything to me. I asked Marlon why and he said his employer tells them not to sell things that people don't need as a company policy. I was amazed and thrilled that LV still has honest professionals. I've lived here 36 years and that is no longer the norm. I had them repair the one bad window and that was a breeze. They were out in less than 24 hours after talking with John and the window is perfect. All done fast and professionally. They showed up on time but failed to tell me at the time I requested the estimate that there would be a charge if they measured more than 10 windows . Most houses I assume will have more than 10 windows so something they should probably mention when someone is calling to inquire about the estimate. I did not feel confident in the estimators ability to give an accurate estimate. And when this is their way of conducting business, I'm not going to move forward with any job. About one hour later... Got an unapologetic and confrontational phone call because I posted this review . So if you post a review they are not happy with, be prepared for a phone call. I was very clear about what I wanted when I called; I wanted all my windows checked. I was never asked how many windows. I didn't find out until the estimator arrived at the property. And I told him I wasn't interested in paying for that. He suggested he would do some different type of estimate. Again, if this is a company policy that should've been made clear before anyone arrived at the property. Being in the construction business myself, I do not use companies that charge for estimates, my choice. Especially for someone taking 15 minutes to measure the windows, asking to use the bathroom, not doing any work. I am thankful that I could see the red flags early on and avoid any further headache. Got a shower panel and sliding shower doors installed. They sent out Ethan for the estimate as well as the installs and he was wonderful! The company was quick to respond to my inquiry and it was easy to get an appointment for an estimate set up. Estimate was sent within a couple of days and reasonable compared to other places. On installation day, unfortunately there was an issue with the sliding doors and the way they were set up. That's the only reason for not having 5 stars, as well as the time frame it took everything. They quoted a two week lead time, but it had been about 5 weeks from the time I put my deposit until I had my sliding doors installed. It wouldn't have been that bad if, one, I didn't need to rearrange my schedule for the separate installation days and two, I didn't have to follow up with them to get my sliding doors installed. read more

I called and asked if someone could come by and fix the handle because it was a little loose.. Someone came over and fixed it and when I asked how much it was, they said no charge!
