They had to pay their employee all of that time and they ended up holding the furniture overnight as the flooring wasn't finished until 10:30 PM. My family and I were planning a move and looking to hire movers to load heavy furniture into our…read moremoving truck. I requested a quote through Yelp, itemizing our move list. Dori responded w a quote of 105/hour (as shown in the attached screenshot). When I called to schedule, it was a whole different story. $105 is not the flat rate. They wanted to charge $50 extra per heavy item (despite the items being listed in the original inquiry), $.05 / mile to get from their office to my house and back, and starting the $105/hr rate when they leave the office (not when they arrive at my house to start work). Then, they keep the hourly rate going until they arrive back at their office from my house. I did not hire them and was disappointed by the lack of transparency in our initial communications. Instead, I went with a company that stuck to their original quote without hidden fees.
