Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. Several got back to me and some made some stupid suggestions. Except for Kristy and Tim. I had them do the work and it was done very fast, very reasonable and happy with the results. Tim makes sure that you know what you need and what can wait. He doesn't try to talk you into any un needed work. He explains everything very well. Tim is a very nice guy. His wife gave me a ride home because my truck had to stay a day or two. She was very friendly and is also a mechanic. If you haven't tried Tims Repair then next time give them a try. Showed up today and was told my appointment was at 2:30, despite having two emails to the contrary. Bottom line, you have been warned. After my vehicle was inspected and work completed I am adding additional information to my post. I feel that their service/evaluation was thorough, and their communication throughout the process was exemplary. They are going to do follow up work on my brakes and I will see how that goes. I understand that anyone can have a bad day, and I think they deserve a second chance at a first impression based on how they handled the scheduling error, and their word-of-mouth reputation.

So much for my Saturday project. The shop was closed for the weekend, so I couldn't resolve it. I met with the owner, Dan, on Monday. He ordered a new set of security lugs in hopes that the key would work. It did not. The tech had misplaced my original key during the brake inspection. Needless to say, it was a major inconvenience--and I didn't receive so much as an apology from the owner. This was my experience as a first-time customer. I filled out the application and they started making inquiries after inquires. I was told that they needed to see my vehicle to get an accurate value. Fair enough! I had planned to go up there on Saturday and I was going to cancel but Logan told me he got me approved and congratulations. So I drove 40 minutes from Edina and when I get there Logan tells me he got me approved for a Subaru Forester. Not a bad car, but what was neglected to be mentioned was the car was a 2017 with over 150,000 miles and no warranty. Didn't let me look at it nor did they provide an Ipacket and there was no carfax report to look at. So I'm waiting and waiting to see this car when this kid from finance comes out to tell me I need money down. Now, I'm beyond livid. I explained to this kid that I had already told Logan I didn't have any money down or a cosigner. I said I drove all the way here for nothing and they wasted me time. If I'm told I'm approved and congratulations, that usually means the deal is done. No apology and this kid from finance didn't seem to care that he just lost a customer, but seeing that they only have a 2.9 rating is starting to make sense. Logan told me he had a number of different cars to look at but didn't show me a thing. I've been to other dealerships and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. Telling people they're approved under false pretenses, they should be ashamed of themselves. Stay away from this dealership.
