Some cleaners really don't do nice work at all. But I chose kings as I wanted more attention to detail and someone told me they were a bit higher end. They do however charge for what they do. They are far pricer than many others. I get that hand labor costs money especially in New York City. I frankly most of the time choose to not send out items to cleaners as it's either very costly or not nicely done. My experience is kings did a good job. They have a good system for connecting with texts and emails and really keeping you informed on status and they delivered on time and with my instructions considered. So I paid more and was happy with the choice for my items that needed this level of attention.

For example, they charge significant penalties for using fabric not bought directly through them, high delivery fees, additional charges for foam and any material used, credit card fees, etc. Where they can take advantage of any opportunity to maximize price, they do. What's worst, though, is that many of these penalties and fees are not even revealed until after it's too late to back out. The way they conduct business is shady and leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
