Cake pan gifts are a 9x13 disposable cake pan from dollar tree, a box of cake mix, can of frosting, birthday card, balloons, (I added a birthday button), birthday candles and a can of sprite. You can google the recipe to make a cake with sprite instead of eggs and oil which is perfect for food banks. I will add a photo of my finished product for guidance. The gal at the front desk was very nice and instructed me to drive around to the side to the large open door. I walked in and someone asked how they could help me. She grabbed a cart and came out to m car and got my three bags that had the 12 cake pan gifts in them. She was so happy and excited to receive them and it made me feel so good!! This last time we tried to purchase advance tickets to get in earlier and were told at the Lake Forest store they didnt have them and didnt know what we were talking about. Ive also made the suggestion while people are waiting in line to go through and collect their payment and give them their bag so they dont get bottlenecked when they open, but they havent taken that advice to heart :) Anyway, the last couple sales, people are bringing in strollers without children in them, bags from home and all sorts of other chaos which makes this not fun. You can fill A BAG, that they give you, for $20. If you want more, you are supposed to pay for another bag, not fill every stroller and IKEA bag you can bring with you. And you have people who run in and just start scooping things up which is clearly a reseller, which, ok - you pay $20 and you fill your bag with whatever you want, but its not like that. Its become extremely less enjoyable... people ruin everything, haha! I have noticed they also bring things out throughout the sale rather than having it all out at the beginning. I just think it could be run much smoother and user friendly.

I have never had an issue with a staff member here. I've been treated with respect, dignity, and politely by friendly people. I've seen rudeness between clients, however most of the time everyone is cordial and pleasant. You are allowed to browse most of the pantry yourself and select your groceries from a list with your family's allotment of each particular item. You walk around shopping with a clip board, pretty straight forward. The staff typically man the fridge and allow you to select what you like and they bag the refrigerated products for you right at the counter. There's a nice big waiting room, a clean bathroom, and plenty of friendly people around doing a lot of work to bring good food to those of us in need. He had my son lying to me he had him believing that we fought all the time which we did not. Unfortunately having him pick up his room or do dishes is fighting. they did not even want to tell me where my son was. although i did know . Ryan Peter Perez to this day a week later has yet to get in touch with me. I dont know how they did it but if they can do it to me and my child they can do it to you. I loved getting to know everyone I came across & more interesting is that these individuals didn't choose to be homeless and not all fell to drugs some have mental illness some lost their jobs because of our economy nonetheless they shouldn't be judged or look down on but to be treated with respect kindness compassion and dignity because after all their human beings too. I'll admit last time I went to donate platelets here a couple years back, it was a lot more painful and uncomfortable. So Destiny definitely made an impact on the reputation I had in mind for this location! (I still would donate anyway because I understand the discomfort last time was one time, due to a less skilled phlebotomist). The other staff are very kind as well. I like the selection of films and shows to watch during the donation. I've been wanting to watch The Pitt forever. Anyway.... I'm glad to know my donations help people in need. Also, the Red Cross Blood donor app is very user friendly and makes donations easy to track; I highly recommend. Remember to drink a lot of fluids and eat a good meal before your platelet donation!! Trust me, I got lightheaded because I didn't eat well! Don't be afraid to ask for snacks/drinks before and after; they have plenty! Other than that, everything was great!
