They tore out my instrument panel and touch start ignition to get to the gears, just to have the car towed to my home. It was with GREAT & ACUTE HORROR I discovered the extent of the damage. When I confronted them, they refused to repair the damage, and told me... for them to fix the damage, I would have to pay them. THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE TO ME. But I will delay writing a more explicit report with photographs; I will even remove this review pending that appropriate repair to my cars instrument panel, and touch start is completed along with the replacement of my key.

I found this shop via a facebook ad -- and read the reviews on Yelp which were mostly 4-5 stars. I…read morebrought in my SUV for a possible throttle body problem that another shop couldn't repair. (Vehicle wouldn't drive over 10mph due to its' engine design) I also chose them because they offered free towing. I explained my problem on the phone and they said they'd do a diagnosis of their own. So had them come pick up my SUV. It took them a few days to figure it out, and they eventually they discovered it was the transmission not being able to go into 4th gear and confirmed that it was not my throttle body. Now, I needed my transmission rebuilt!! Since they had me up on the rack already and the car wouldn't drive, I didn't want to be without a vehicle for emergency reasons, so I agreed to their repair quote. (Seemingly way over priced @$99/hr labor charges). That took about a week to fix, and to their credit they even discovered that in the process of fixing it another transmission problem happened while they were repairing it and fixed that under their warranty. Much appreciated. While they had the vehicle I inquired about fixing a clicking noise from behind my dash dealing with the air flow actuators. They said they could fix it. They figured out what was wrong and got me a price -- a few hundred, but not bad considering, so I approved the additional costs. Here's how they lost 4 stars and any future business. When I came to pickup my SUV -- I noticed that the dash was damaged and had a long crack in it and a piece was chipped off. This was obviously from their attempts to diagnose and fix the air flow issue. The dash had clear signs of recent damage due to being forced or something stressing the plastic such as pressure from trying to pry off the trim, leaning or dropping something on it. When I asked them about it (Mike, owner or manager, not sure) - they said that they didn't break it and tried to explain where they actually did the work, which was in the driver's leg area. I assured them that it was not broken when the took possession of the vehicle. They refused to take ANY responsibility!!! When I pushed if they could get a replacement part they refused. Mike said they'll install the part for me for free if I found the part. They wouldn't even consider reimbursing me for the part. WTF sort of Bull Sh*t is that? So, if they accidentally punctured my gas tank would that would be my problem too??? NO! I bet they would fix it on their own and chalk that up to cost of doing business. Subsequently -- when I got home and researched how to remove this trim part - found out that it's a very easy process to remove it. It was obvious that they had NO CLUE on how to remove the trim to access behind the dash, and probably didn't even attempt to look it up online. I also discovered that a 2nd piece of trim was also damaged in attempting to make the quested repair. The worst and most insulting unprofessional part of all this is that they didn't even have the balls to let me know this happened in advance. What did they think - I wouldn't see a crack on my dash that I drive daily?? So Mike -- what do you have to say about this? It will be a cold day in hell before I use them again. I suggest you stay away too.

I was greeted by Chris and he immediately helped me was very courteous listened to my concerns (other than the oil change) and was absolutely helpful. My car was taken care of in no time, they did my AC by adding Freon and also gave me an estimate (very fair and reasonable)on other work which needs to be done. I will definitely go back and the customer service was wonderful, the place is very clean and even had refreshments to offer and . The lady in the back I can't remember her name, but she also was very friendly; it seems to be a family owned place, which I like. So to sum this regular place however they could not fit me in and I wanted it done on the spot. I needed the alternator replaced. Alex was very welcoming & asked a number of questions to make sure the problem with the car was actually the alternator. He was quick, so nice, & most of all very very honest! I've been to so many places just for an oil change and they tell me so many things are wrong with my car that need replacing, Alex is the total opposite! He lets you know exactly what's wrong with you car & only what needs to Actually be done. Also his prices are more than fair! I'm glad we finally found a mechanic near by & a great person at that! Great experience and I would recommend him for auto repairs. 12/08/21: I brought in my car for a automatic transmission leak check. Recently, my CV axles were replaced by Tire Kingdom (What a huge mistake). So it turns out , the mechanic at tire kingdom (while replacing my CV axles), hurt the output shaft seal and therefore, transmission fluid was leaking. Alex advised me to take my car back to tire kingdom and have the shaft seal replaced, which thankfully they did . Alex saved me $200! . After a long enjoyable birthday weekend, I woke up to a flat tire. I had originally asked CARMAX to…read moretake a look at fixing it, but when they returned my car 2 weeks ago we saw they completely forgot to tend to it. So, here we find ourselves in North Miami at an Air bnb having to call a tow truck with AAA and have a headache of a morning. Luckily the tow truck came pretty quickly. AAA had already located Piper Automotive on the phone that was an approved AAA business, so I had it sent there. While I was at work, Luis called and texted me updating me on what needed to be done and what didn't, which was a huge help. We ended up needing the 2 brand new front tires, which was expected. However, we also ended up needing to plug the right back tire due to having a tiny nail inside. We also asked for an alignment because it's a must when you get new tires. In the end, Piper was able to receive the car before 11am and fix everything by 5pm. They close at 5pm, but they stayed available for me to pick up my car at until 630pm, which was such a huge help. Besides the overall cost being a little more than expected, the experience went smooth, quality seems good and I'd recommend them.

They ended up charging me $360, and all that was needed was a new battery. The mechanic and I both thought originally that it needed a new starter but an hour later they were able to jump it. It would have been nice for them to offer me to come by and pick it up but they said they could get me a good deal with the battery because of my AAA membership. Little did I know they still hit me with a $130 fee for "diagnostic" even though I didn't ask for one. They also tried to sell me on additional issues that may creep up in the future, but everyone does that so no big knock there. The staff was friendly enough and they were quick, so that's something. But you can definitely find better value than here.
