I took the main trunk off of their hands, to use for a fire. So they didn't even have to remove anything but what they chipped up into their trailer. I told Sean to go after the person who he had a contract with. I would have cut it myself for FREE but she wasn't a nice lady. Sean got pissed and called me all kinds of names and threatened me. He's lucky if I don't get the federal government involved for messing with my mailbox and threatening me.

I live in a…read moreone family house in the suburbs just south of Manchester Airport in a development of over 300 homes. For several years now I have been contemplating the removal of a very tall pine tree in my backyard which was leaning about 30 degrees towards my house. One day when I was driving through the neighborhood, I saw a crew of several guys removing a very tall tree from the backyard of one of my neighbors, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism and safety and respect to other neighbors houses located around the work site. I approached one of the workers and asked for a business card. A day later I called the number on the card and my call was promptly returned the next day. I talked to Kyle and he agreed to come out the next day to look at the tree and determine the how and how much for the project. When he arrived he looked at the tree and the surrounding homes and said that it would be an easy job. He even suggested the removal of some other 'weed type' trees and taking down a few low hanging limbs on other trees. I never would have thought of that, I was just focused on that one tree! He agreed to come on out Monday morning at 8:30. My wife stayed home that day as she wanted to watch the operation and take pictures. Sure enough, 8:30 a.m. rolls around and here is a crew of three men with trucks and equipment in tow! They set to work right away, cutting off the limbs, then sectioning the tree and slicing it up and removing those parts out to the street to their chipper. I was very happy at the level of safety and respect they took in taking down the tree and the removal of that tree from my property to their trucks. We are in close proximity to my neighbors homes, they have nice yards with pools, decks and small shade trees. The removal was done only on MY property and they took great care to ensure they did not tresspass on my neighbors yards! So now a tree that was causing me great concern is gone, I have more sun in my backyard and no pine needles in my pool! I highly recommend Rockingham Tree Service!

Went with Lopez Landscaping since they had the smaller equipment and manpower to get the job done. The tree was quickly removed but it was a 3 star maybe 3.5 star experience because of the additional work needed to coordinate everything. The good: - competitive quote and they were able to come by quickly to assess the work - flexible in bringing equipment that worked with tight openings - main tree removal was done in 5 hours - removed paver stones so they wouldn't be damaged by machinery - friendly and professional. They accommodated a special request to cut a section for a table The bad: - rescheduling was a huge pain. We had to go back and forth for 3 weeks and I had to proactively follow up to confirm if they were coming - unable to grind the stump as part of the initial quote so had to pay another $400 for them to come back with a different machine - never got an invoice despite asking for one multiple times To summarize, this seems to be a nice family business that has experience removing trees quickly. However, it doesn't appear there is a back office that keeps everything organized so you're going to have to do a lot of work to stay on top of things.
