PABLO IS FANTASTIC. We had the best time. Pablo explained the trail, the bikes, and what to do if we saw a moose. We rented the E-bikes, I highly recommend them. I couldn't have done the 22 miles we biked without it. The airport section may have been our favorite but the scenery was beautiful everywhere we went. The bikes were easy to ride and held their charge the whole time. We went to the chalet and back, but made so many stops we definitely went over our time. It was just too fun. read more

First and foremost, they have FREE PARKING. I wish I had known this before paying $12 to park across the street. Their parking was hidden in back. It can be overlooked and missed for sure. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. We rented bikes here to ride the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail and had the best time. Bikes were great and we were on the trail in no time. We rented e-bikes which was top tier on that trail due to a couple inclines. E-bikes made it smooth. Definitely one of our favorite things we did in Anchorage. read more

Great location to rent bikes just off of Tony Knowles Trail. We rented bikes online and they were ready for us when we showed up. Staff were very friendly and showed us a video of the trail that included some things to look out for (good and bad). Our bikes were in good shape and made for an easy 22-mile ride. read more

Starting with the shop: simple, clean, upbeat! They do have a bathroom, make sure to use it before you head out! Staff: the first girl who helped me (I don't know her name) was awful. She seemed like she was uncomfy with me asking questions about what type of bike to get and didn't have any good insights in to the coastal trail. The guy I worked with (Pablo's nephew) was great! He was knowledgeable about the trail, what to look out for, where to stop, and rescued me when my bike stopped working properly. He is the only reason I am not giving a lower rating! I rented a standard bike. I made it 0.3 miles from the shop when the chain completely broke. They brought me a new bike that was the same style. Both bikes looked beat up and clearly used hard. The second bike never quite shifted right, by the time I was half way back it wouldn't shift at all causing me to call and have a third bike brought to me. When that bike arrived I just wanted to be done, I was over it and thankfully Pablo's Nephew (I really wish I knew his name) took me back. He was very friendly and discounted me for the trouble. The e-bikes looked to be in better condition! So maybe try those!:) read more

I stopped by to rent a bike for the day and stopped to grab my Snow City Cafe order I placed for pick up before getting the bike. As I was walking back to my car, one of the employees came up to me and said "next time you can't use our parking for another business". My response was "oh yea I saw the sign..." but before I could finish (and say I was picking up my Togo order before coming here), he interrupted me and in a very rude tone said "oh so you did see the sign?". He then cut me off again saying that when I was trying to explain I WAS going to this business. I understand wanting to keep business that isn't yours out of your parking lot, but being rude is not acceptable. I told him that I was actually going to go to their business but because of his attitude, I'm no longer doing that. If you ever need advice on how to lose a customer, that's a great way to do it. read more

We rented bikes here to go biking at the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail (around 12 miles one way so around 20+ miles round trip). The staff were helpful and informative. The staff will provide you with details on how to get to a path before you depart. Tip: make sure you ride around a little or so to ensure the bike is in good shape. We didn't notice the bike's crank issue until we got on the trail though. You can also call the the store and they will come and replace your bike. Bikes: They have a variety of different bikes from regular to electric bikes. We were able to get Trek bikes for our biking journey. The bikes come with a helmet which is nice that it's not additonal. Costs: The price will vary depending on how long you rent your bike and what type of bike your rent. They will charge you after you get back. We had 2 Trek bikes for the ride. We did ride it around in the parking lot to ensure that the bikes were in decent condition. However, one of the bikes was making sounds throughout the one way once we got to the trail and we realized that the crank was loose, dangerous. The staff ended up coming to us with another bike that we can use on the ride back. The bike I was riding starting making sounds on my ride back and the seats kept moving throughout my bike ride. The bikes had water bottle holders which was convenient to have. They didn't overcharge us on time since we waited 15+ mins to get a replacement bike before biking back. It would have been nice to be reimbursed more than $5 since the bike ride one way didn't seem stable for 1 bike. Overall experience, all the staff were helpful and I'd recommend for renting bikes. read more

Riding a bike on the Costal trail is a must. That is the one place where I saw three moose. The folks that run Pablo's are very chill and get you in and out quickly. I tried the electric bike and it rocked. The hours were good and returns easy with a friendly staff. Go for it. read more

The Tony Knowles Multi Use Trail is one of the most popular activities in Anchorage. It's about 11 miles long one way and a popular way to see all of it is renting a bike. We Rented our bikes at Pablo's. There are a few choices but i ride bikes a lot and these are easily the best maintained. There are lower prices but the bikes might let you down. It's about $25 for three hours for a regular bike or $50 for electric. If you don't ride much, consider electric as there was surprisingly about 1000 feet of climbing on this coastline trail on the 22 mile total out and back. It took our group 2.5 to 3 hours on manual bikes Service was great We saw a Moose, Bald Eagle and the Kenai Alps across Prince William sound read more

We were in Anchorage with some friends a few days ahead of our cruise the week of June 14-21. We had researched Pablo's online ahead of time, and riding the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail was on our list of "must do's" while we were there. We stopped in and met Pablo, who is so nice and helpful. We enjoyed our bike ride so much. We saw a cow moose and her baby, along with a black bear (who seemed really used to people but we didn't risk it), tons of coastal bird species, and some cute dogs who live near the trail (probably not native to the area though).
