I came to this AAA on 2/23/22 as I never got the notice from DMV to pay my tags and I know they should be due sometime in March. So I signed on to the DMV website and found my tags were due on 03/8/22 and to avoid the DMV long lines and frustrations local AAA branches are the way to go especially if you are a member. Since I am a member they waived the extra 10% fee they add to your charge I forget what it is called. Since I wasn't too sure I just used cash. Anywho, when I walked in I was greeted by an elderly man who asked what I was in for . I let him know to pay my DMV tags and he checked me in and informed me to wait in their waiting room. I waited for a few minutes . The waiting area was definitely quiet , clean and huge. A few minutes later my name was called and a lady helped me. I provided the necessary information for them to look up my information since I didn't have the DMV notice. My tags were about $391 this year but I am good to go for the rest of the year! Overall, I would recommend AAA whether you are a member or not you can pay your tags here and save yourself time and sanity! I would come to this location in a heart beat any day! All staff was friendly and polite and helpful. read more

Alarm system is complete BS, I noticed my smoke detector went out and it wont connect to the hub. Then a new smoke detector was brought elsewhere and it would connect to the hub. Then customer service was called and stated that we have to buy their whee brand new tyco from AAA. wtf!! Thats a total BS. Do not do it. read more

Worked with a guy named Micheal. He was very hard to get a hold of, said we could get coverage when we technically couldn't, after going through all the steps of enrolling. Spelled our names wrong. Just a mess. We will stick with aaa but will find a new rep. I've had the best luck just calling the 1800 number honestly. read more

I'm not sure what the point of this building and having employees in the building unless you need some DMV or travel help. You can't get any help on insurance at all. All the people in there I feel bad for them because AAA is moving out of California. They're auto road service is the worst because in Fresno they prefer Sierra towing who's the worst towing company in the valley. I waited 3 hours and those assholes never showed. AAA insurance in 32 years I had two claims total at about 3,000. In February I had my third claim $32,000 after a tree fell on my house and the muthafukas canceled my insurance. Then they lied and stated it was not because of the claim but because my pool didn't have any water in it in Match since it neeed replastering and because my back fence was down having been blown over by the wind. I drove out there to discuss let them know my pool's got water in it and I've had a fence replaced for 4 months and they couldn't help me. Have to call a 800 number and if you're really lucky pressing a lot of buttons you might actually get to speak someone but it's very difficult. Fuck AAA read more

My lady and I were treated very rudely by the staff here on June 6, 2024 when we went in to get a printout of my car insurance coverage since it was never sent by the main office. For some reason my insurance agent registered me as " paperless " when I never told him to. A young lady approached us in a very nasty way to ask us what we wanted. She was very hostile. We were asked to wait, and a young man then proceeded to make he copies while not allowing me to speak. He was also very rude. When I asked him for an envelope he said he had none and I should ask the front. I told him no way since this woman there was rude and hostile. He acted like it was my fault and I was making it all up. Finally, my lady asked in a nice way if there were any DisneyLand brochures, and she was met with a hostile no from a heavy Mexican woman. It's funny that we were White and all 3 employees who were very hostile were Mexicans. Or was it funny? You decide. Either way, we will never go there again for anything. The employee Yesenia Flores gave my mom terrible service. Because of her lack of completing my policy paperwork that she did not submit, my monthly insurance payments accumulated for the past 2 months! Her reasoning was not logical, and she did not own up to the fact that it was her mistake. Her argument was irrelevant as to how I should be paying my policy. She lacks all professionalism in general. I do not recommended this AAA location. I'm on the edge of switching insurance agencies due to this inconvenience. This is unacceptable, my mom shouldn't have gone through this bad experience. The manager that was there was of no help at all. An employee should not make assumptions and decisions for the way a customer makes their payment because it's causing problems with a customer's policies. I have belonged to AAA as long as I've owned a car, and have been frequenting this location several times a year for the last six or so years. I have used this particular location to deal with insurance issues, avoid the DMV, get passport photos taken, buy Disneyland tickets or Monterey Bay Aquarium tickets, get road maps and travel books. Most of the time, there has been no more than one person in line in front of me--meaning I'm in and out with my business done quickly. Even when I've been the 20th person (or worse) in line, I've always been impressed with how quickly I get through with waiting and leave with my mission accomplished. The clerks/insurance agents/etc. have always been knowledgeable and friendly, and minimal in the pushy arena (yes--they do ask if I'm interested in getting additional insurance with them, but a no thank you stops any further inquiry). If you are a member of AAA and are planning a trip, want to think about travelling (you get a certain number of free guide books annually), are considering looking into getting insurance, or want to see what types of discounts your membership gets you.... or if you are thinking about an annual membership, this is a great location to check out. read more

The lines here are longer then the dmv! You end up paying $50 a year for membership you literally never use! If your vehicle needs to be smoged you have to bring it in person unlike the easy dmv where proof is sent via internet, because we are in 2017! There are three reasons that people come here, and they are all based on outdated 70's BS. The first is to get "cheap passport photos". When it was time to get my passport, my semi-retired parents appeared seemingly out of nowhere to give me the sage advice of "get your passport photos at AAA". Because according to them, AAA will take your photos for $20, while the passport office (that you have to go to anyway) will insist on cutting off a finger and signing over your first three children as payment. So I went through their 30 minute process of filling out forms, paying, smiling for the camera, and was given some photos of myself. I brought them to the passport office and was told that the photos were taken from too far away and couldn't be used. So basically it was nothing but a time and money sink. The passport office charged me something like $25 for photos. The second reason is to get a "AAA Membership". This $56 per year money-sink gives you two useless benefits. The first "benefit" is free a towing up to 5 miles each year. They are banking on the fact that many people don't know that a tow does not, in fact, cost 300+ dollars. A 5 mile tow is only like $30-50 here in Fresno. The expensive part is an IMPOUND FEE, and that's only if your car gets towed because it's illegally parked. AAA won't help you here, just don't park illegally. They are hoping you'll get the two confused though and think you're getting some valuable insurance against needing a tow. This may have been remotely useful in 1975 when cars couldn't be expected to last for longer than 50 miles without exploding into an unserviceable heap, but in our modern age it's not such a necessity. The second "benefit" that they will offer is letting you into your locked car up to 3 times per year. Somehow they have convinced people that locking your keys in your car is an expensive mistake. In reality, there are a ton of places in Fresno that will let you into your locked car for around $20. If you lock yourself out of your car precisely 3 times every single year, your membership will just barely pay for itself. In my 14 years of driving, I've locked myself out of my car exactly once. I used my parents' AAA benefit, waiting outside at midnight for about 45 minutes for AAA to show up and let me back in. I also used it once to help out some random people I met at a Burger King in the middle of nowhere. If I had paid for AAA, I would have paid about $700 in fees and received about $40 worth of benefits. The third reason to come here is to buy insurance from them. They are easily one of the most expensive places to buy insurance from, but my grandpa would say "they're worth it". Indeed, they are a great insurance company to deal with. If you get into an accident and you are at-fault, they will be very friendly and helpful towards the person you hit. I personally had a AAA-insured-person hit my parked car, and AAA was very helpful in paying for repairs. If you are not the one at-fault however, they won't be very helpful, since you'll be dealing with the other person's insurance, not AAA. They won't care that you have AAA, and they will offer you pennies on the dollar even though you're spending an extra $120/month on "good insurance". You can sue that other person's insurance company, and AAA won't contribute a dime toward your legal representation, since they don't have any money at risk. If you're still uninformed or just a complete tool, I highly suggest coming here! read more

What a rip off insurance has become last year I moved and because I change ZIP Codes my insurance went up $700 now this year it's gone at $800 I've had no claims nothing wrong I'm a good driver I have multiple insurance policies and the only reason I'm told it goes up is because AAA had too many claims this year. So basically no matter where you live when the rich people's House is flooded or burn we all have to continue to pay insurance rates so AAA won't lose any money. So go ahead and make a claim because that's the only way you're going to get money out of AAA. I have been a member since 1984 and the agent did not care or want my business anymore if I did not want to pay I can go so where else. Not sure if this is the place to leave reviews for roadside service---I had the absolute worst customer service experience in my entire life. Last year I had someone from So-Cal AAA come out and replace my battery, which I had no issues with, I paid for the replacement battery. Here I am, a year later, with battery issues and my car not starting. I have Jose, from Clovis, CA, come out on Sunday 10/24, and he said my battery was drained and it needed to be charged. Unsure if that would solve my issues, I borrowed a charger for a car battery, and charged it for 24 hours. When it was disconnected it ran at 12.8, I come home from work and car is not starting. I call to get assistance, and Jose comes out today at 3:48pm. He had told his boss that my boyfriend was rude and aggressive on Sunday, so I receive a call from whom I'm assuming is his boss, Mike, and start getting yelled at that he (my boyfriend) better act better. He in no way is an agressive or rude and of course to each their own personal feelings, my boyfriend was still calm this time around. As we are still questioning what Jose is talking about about my battery being "drained" and it being a good battery still and comparing it to a iPhone battery. When he ran the test it was down to 10.2 which does not get a car to start. When we asked the last question, he literally took his jumper cables and got in his vehicle and left. I immediately go into autozone, which I should've done in the beginning to avoid any stress, and they test my battery just to say the it was a bad batter. I called Mike to let him know how I felt and he proceeded to be rude. This was the absolute worst customer experience/service I have ever received and if someone would like to call me so I can cancel my service since there was no benefit to having AAA, I would very much appreciate this and I will never recommend AAA to anyone in the Clovis, CA area. The office opens at 9:00. I was at one of the doors by 8:45. By the time my door was opened, there were two others in line in front of me ONE LINE till 9:30! I was finally at the front of the line at 9:24. By that time, there were 7 people in line behind me. While waiting, I asked why there was only one line. "We opened a new office at Herndon and Clovis and had to change our schedules." I mentioned that the new office was closer to my home. I had talked to a young man the day before who had given me directions to this office. I had told him specifically where I lived. He made no mention of the new office. I told the clerk that. Her reply...."Well, that was some young man in some office." Oh, I see! What???? Now I check online and this new office is not on the website. AAA TRAVEL (not Insurance)... I have used AAA Travel in the past (w/a different Travel Agent) & was VERY pleased. However, my recent experience w/AAA Travel was very disappointing. On 11/11/15, I met w/AAA Travel Agent Susan Fillmore to help plan an upcoming trip to Europe. Susan indicated there would be a non-refundable charge for her services to which I completely agreed to. Susan had me sign a credit card draft w/the amount left blank so she could charge me in the future. I left that meeting feeling hopeful & promised Susan I would get back to her with a few unanswered questions. On 11/24.15, I called Susan & left a detailed message answering all questions we had during our initial meeting. Susan never returned my call. On 12/09/15, I called Susan again & actually got to speak to her. She did confirm she received my previous call & got the information I left on the message. We talked a total of 2 minutes. After the first of the year, on 1/20/16, I again called the AAA Travel office and left Susan another voice mail to check on how things were going & to let her know we needed to know the exact dates she had booked so my husband could request them off from work. However, I never heard from Susan. Since my 2 minute conversation with Susan on 12/9/15, I have not received ANY communication from Susan. On 2/23/2016, I called AGAIN & left Susan a message indicating I would be stopping by the following day to pick up the blank credit card draft she had me sign. On Thursday, February 24, I went into the Clovis AAA office and waited a few minutes for Susan to finish up with a customer. I told her I was there to pick up the credit card draft and she replied, "Oh yeah, that's right, I have it right here." She made no apology for her unprofessionalism. No apology was made for NEVER returning a single phone call in THREE MONTHS! She made no apology for wasting 3 months of time I could have been using to plan the trip myself! No apology for anything. She handed me the draft and that was that. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO NOT DO ANY TRAVEL BUSINESS WITH SUSAN FILLMORE FROM AAA CLOVIS. read more

Went into the AAA office to get my car seat safety inspected. I had originally planned on doing this through the Clovis police department, however they were booked. I was informed that the process would take 45mins-1 hour, which I thought was lengthy to inspect a car seat. Shortly after I walked in I was introduced to a salesmen and the car seat inspector left. I was immediately led to the salesmen's desk to be sold on various products. I was never once asked if I was interested in hearing about services and never did I request information. While I understand that AAA is a business the only thing I was seeking was a safety inspection. Had I gone to the police department I would have been sold nothing. Being 9 months pregnant the last thing that I wanted was to sit and listen to some sales pitch. The most frustrating part was feeling completely cornered into this. Because of their approach I will never consider AAA for any of my insurance needs. Had I been asked if I was interested in hearing about products, rather than being led back only to have the person who I scheduled the inspection with leave so I would have to hear about services, my impression would be different. Its unfortunate that my experience was like this because I frequently look at improving our insurance needs. When I informed the salesmen that I was not interested he continued to try every angel to get me to bite while we waited for the girl who I was supposed to be meeting with to return. His last minute attempts at trying to save a sale that he never came close to getting only turned me off more. First impressions mean a lot to me and going to a place with one objective only to be on their agenda is not a company I want to do business with ever. read more

If I could give a negative stars(s) I would. My vehicle was hit by another vehicle while it was parked. Gave AAA all the information for the other insurance company. This occurred back in October /November 2015. It has been the biggest hassle just to get my vehicle fixed. Today called and talked to a rep named Scott, he was rude, condescending and interrupted during the entire conversation. Asked for supervisor and he states we are still talking. No, I want a supervisor, offers to give me another reps supervisor. Weather this being the end of April and still no fix to my vehicle I am beyond frustrated with AAA. As soon as this is resolved I plan to move all my policies to another company. What a nightmare read more
