As someone that has had terrible dentists in the past, I tend to dread going to the dentist. This is the BEST dentist ever. Dr Kim is calm and reassuring...he's the best dentist I have ever encountered! Tina, the receptionist, is super sweet and takes time to explain things to you. She greeted me by name with a smile (as it should be at a dentist's office!). The dental assistant (Maria, I think) is friendly as well. She could tell I was anxious before my root canal procedure and took my mind off by small-talking. I can't say enough good things about the people here. After my cleaning, Dr. Kim meets with you in his office to explain what he sees and what needs to happen. This was so surprising to me since no other dentist has ever done that with me. Turns out, I had a big cavity that Dr Kim said he would put a filling in, but I might need a root canal. It was nice that he tried to fill it before just jumping to the root canal procedure. Turns out he was right, and the cavity procedure cost was applied to the root canal. There is plenty of metered parking on the street right out front. Never had a problem parking (pay with Parkmobile app to save the hassle of finding quarters). They are also really accommodating and encourage you to use headphones (phew). If you are looking for a dentist you will certainly not be disappointed here. I can't say enough good things about this place over all. read more

I can't explain how impressed I am with AAA Dental! After moving to Stamford from the Bronx, we needed a new dentist. I combed through Yelp reviews and saw that AAA Dental had great reviews. They did not disappoint! From the moment I called, the receptionist, Shawna, was professional and accommodating. She took my insurance information to ensure that my first appointment was covered. After filling out some paperwork I was ready to go. For my first appointment they did a thorough examination, including scans and xrays to get a complete baseline. Here's where I'm most impressed... it turns out I needed some deep cleaning of my gums on my back teeth. I have always gone to the dentist every six months and clearly my former dentist was not as thorough. They were also very informative on how to prevent this from happening in the future. I'm thankful I went to AAA Dental because I'm confident my teeth and gums are super clean now. Excellent, friendly, and inviting staff all around. Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Kim and every one of his staff members are excellent and friendly!! I had a bad experience with another Stamford dentist so I was so relieved to have found AAA Dental on Summer Street. Dr. Kim seems to always have the latest technology and his office is SPOTLESS which is very important to me, especially at a dentist's office. I go every six months for a cleaning, and Lanette is so gentle on my very sensitive teeth that it almost feels like a tooth and gum massage :) I've also recently had extraction and implant surgery and it was also as great an experience as that can be. Dr. Kim is patient, takes his time explaining, does his best to save your teeth before making any drastic recommendations and will always make time for an appointment if there is any discomfort. It doesn't hurt that Dr. Kim is pretty funny and Nidia treats me like a good friend. They definitely know how to deal with anxious dental patients here! I first saw Dr. Kim for a quick consultation and he is lovely. He didn't push any of the procedures that my last dentist wanted to do to max out my insurance benefits, and I appreciated his honesty regarding the timeline of my wisdom tooth removal (we will do it eventually and not RIGHT NOW). He did not make me feel guilty about any bad brushing habits; instead, he recommended specific things I could go buy on amazon. I think they sell electric toothbrushes and things in the office but I was never pressured to purchase from them. I was also recommended a deep gum cleaning by my last dentist, who told me it would be two long appointments (nope) full of Novocain (nope) for $2000 (nah). I came back to AAA for a routine cleaning and Sam performed the deep clean right then and there with a topical anesthetic and for a fraction of the price. It was virtually painless and I got it all over with in one visit. Everyone in this office is great! I also appreciate that the office itself is clean and brand new. It doesn't feel like a typical dentist's office. They don't have any of those weird giant tooth figurines or annoying dental-joke posters that up your anxiety before you're even in the chair. read more

So I had some experiences prior in other dntst that would make any sane being not want to even get care that's needed, this is never the case With Dr Kim. Never has there been a lack of compassion or understanding, in the entire building. when I found Dr Kim The receptionist Tina as well & AAA dental I was nervous & timid about dental needs and even wants and hopes which than kind of effected everything overall. Dr Kim really makes a Universal Dif. In Smiles. Dr Kim he is always 1 step ahead in knowledge and ethic he has great understanding compassion last & not least knowledge!!. The office too is filled with cheerfulness / effectivity. I have gained much through finding him & his business AAA dentist. I first went in 2017 & he is the First Dentist not to just calm me because many can calm u when u shouldn't be calm, & I've met kind Dentist, more than anything he's attentive and efficient quick and painless in his actual actions. I went for removal of a wisdom and I learned than and there bast on post care from the first 1 in same exact location vs years later the one he did for me was clean and had no swelling. AAA Dental is known in Stamford for using strong arm sales tactics to get you to pay for a $2,000 deep cleaning. They told me if I wanted to get any work done, it's mandatory I get this deep cleaning. This was after Dr. Kim told me my gums weren't bad. I consulted another dentist, family and friends. One of them actually said they had the same experience with AAA Dental. They refused to do any work on a current cavity of mine and left me in pain. AAA does NOT care about patient care but about making money. How upsetting. read more

I find the procedures are completed efficiently, yet they take the time to talk to you and answer any questions you may have. There is a very welcoming atmosphere at office. I just started going to AAA Dental in November after waiting some time because of Covid. They are taking all necessary precautions including taking your temp before you can go in, which makes you feel much more comfortable about the experience. Everyone there is extremely friendly and didn't judge me on how bad my teeth were which I was really nervous about. I had to get a normal cleaning, two sessions of deep scale cleaning on my gums, and fixed two chipped teeth. They were able to get me for all of this in 5 weeks with a Holiday mixed. My friended recommended them and they didn't disappoint at all. I actually feel good about my teeth for the first in a very long time. I want to thank the entire staff at AAA for doing a great job and making your patients feel comfortable. read more

I am new to the area and needed a new dentist. I saw a sign on the street and decided to try out AAA. I'm so glad I did! The office is very clean, staff is very polite, dental equipment is high quality and Dr. Kim was great. My cleaning and check up was very quick and he did a great job. He didn't try to push any dental work I didn't need and made recommendations to help me avoid needing a crown in the future as much as possible which is awesome and I could tell he was honest because of that. He went to Case Western which has a renowned dental program so that comforted me before meeting him. He was very friendly and made conversation with me to avoid any awkwardness. It is a new practice he opened so I'm looking forward to seeing it grow. He doesn't have any hygienists yet and cleans your teeth himself which was a new experience for me. This dentist goes out of his way to schedule the most expensive procedures right off the cuff. There is NO discussion of more conservative treatments, and NO discussion of other ways in which the issue can be addressed. It's his way or the highway. I had a tiny surface cavity that I went to see him for. No x rays were done. He looked in my mouth without a mirror for less than a minute and told me I would need a crown, a root canal and a pulpectomy. FYI - pulpectomies are performed on children and NOT adults. He had no interest in addressing my concern that this tooth may not need such drastic intervention once an actual x-ray was taken! I had a second opinion with another local dentist, who confirmed my suspicion that it was a minor repair (after bite wing x-rays were performed obviously) and repaired the tooth in the same visit. Beware of AAA Dental. You are funding this doc's mortgage, car payment and exotic vacations. He's in it for the $$$$. read more

Would not recommend this dental office. They must have a booming business in that they double book appointments. Never had the experience at dental offices where you schedule an appointment and then come in and they scheduled deliberately someone else for the same time.
