I went a few days ago and within 5 minutes of being there , I walked out . When I arrived, two employees were at the front desk and didn't even acknowledge me . Okay , no problem I am not that petty but clearly customer service is not their priority. I peeked inside the office and I couldn't see anyone , no patients nor dentist. This review has been a long time coming... I lived in fear of the dentist and that fear kept me away from any kind of dental care for 17 years. I came here, in total fear, full blown anxiety and ready to run out. Somehow The EXCEPTIONAL staff here won me over, gently worked on that fear, and have kept me coming back. Covid happened and I wouldn't see them for a few years, but when I returned, Yesenia remembered me and my son and knew exactly who we were. It makes the whole experience so much better. They really are a special group. Yesenia works so hard with your insurance so you can get the best care, and everyone here is so patient, they have these angelic hands, they talk you through everything, and they really understand how deep fear of the dentist and shame of your mouths condition can affect you... I hadn't been to the dentist since I was a kid due to bad past experiences so I've always been nervous,but I came in because my wisdom was causing me a lot of pain and I had other procedures that I needed that were long overdue. Everyone is really nice and comforting you can tell that they care about their patients. Yesenia has been so great from setting up my appointment to get my tooth extracted to helping me set up a payment plan for all the procedures I need. Honestly has been such a good experience here. Not at AAA! from the minute I walked in I was greeted by the office manager Yesenia and the receptionist. the procedures were explained in detail and the staff was knowledgeable and answered all the questions I had. going to the dentist now isn't traumatic anymore thanks to AAA. read more

I had previous dental work there with no complaints... however I got my last root canal there with a crown and core, and in less than 6 months it fell out. Root canal went fine, build up fine, temp was fine, it wasn't until I got my permanent crown the problem happened. The dental assistant was told to remove my temp, she was struggling, then used a tool to remove it. Her face expressed panic, she looked at my mouth and the crown repeatedly. She walks out, says nothing to me, the doctor comes in and I explain to him my worry that she broke my build up. He tells me I don't feel tooth there because he hadn't put the core in. I trust the professional, it gets put in and maybe a month later I noticed slight movement. It was very subtle but definitely there. Well about 6 months later it fell out entirely and when I called to inform them, I was told I signed off that the crown was good. The problem wasn't the crown, the problem was my build up was broken during the permanent crown placement. The dentist did not check via X-ray when I expressed concern and I feel that could've prevented this whole mess. He brushed me off and cemented my permanent crown onto a broken buildup. Now I need a partial and from what I was told the owner will not refund me in any way because I "must have bit something hard." So I'm stuck paying a partial with no sort of accommodation from this business. My suggestion is if you want to risk it there, don't allow the dental asst. to remove your temporary crown I guess. Unless you want a partial denture and no refund... oh and to get blamed. ‍ read more

Transitioned here after a terrible experience with a previous dentist. The staff here is very kind and helpful and Dr. Slaven is great. I brought my 3 and 6 year olds and he was patient and enthusiastic and made my kid's experience a good one. I booked an appointment for myself soon after and sure enough the same great service and treatment. I highly recommend this dental office. read more

I am a frank and reasonable person, however, this has been the worst dentist experience I've had in my life. I am definitely not coming back to this dentist ever again. I will list the number of negative events which occurred in the visit: 1). I was in the waiting room for literally an hour long waiting. and the facilities were very underpar (cleanliness levels are 1 out of 5 - Not being Biased). 2). While an unqualified staff member was taking X-rays of my teeth, she was touching door knobs, sink hadles etc. and was about to put her hands in my mouth until i stopped her and asked her to change gloves. It took 20-30 minutes to compete a X-ray of the mouth! Very displeased, the staff in general seemed UNEDUCATED. 3). Dr. Arash Hakhamian came and was very pleasant/nice and seemed to be trustworthy. He took a look at the X-rays and said I was having boneloss and needed special deep cleaning treatment and then proceeded to show me a video (even though I floss everyday/brush morning and nights) I was EXTREMELY skeptical of his suggestions but he kept insisting i needed to get deep cleaning treatment. Overall it turned out to be $200 for deep cleaning treatment. I then go to a dentist who I visited regularly before Arash Hakhamian (Dr Tubis from West Covina - much cleaner facility and educated staff) and they insisted that I have NO signs of bone loss and that I have gotten conned. 4). When I left the Dentist, I realize that they did not inform me on what to do AFTER the treatment. I come back in the office after leaving and ask them if I can eat or drink water. They then tell me "Oh yeah, you cannot eat or drink water for 2 hours". I was furious due to the lack of attention and professionalism they give to their patients. I would not waste my time and write this review. I just hope that this review will be useful to other patients looking for a dentist in the Lynwood/Southgate area. I am rarely in the area but decided to stop by this dentist because the Doctor seemed friendly. For your well-being, please find a different Dentist. Thank you. read more

My mother got surgery in this place She was told that she lost bone and had infection. Ok she did the treatment they recommended. So she needed and implant They send her home with the missing teeth. (One on the from side) I friendly call the clinic and ask them Why they did such thing.. They said She did not ask for a temporary and they said they would make her a temporary teeth. Indeed they did make her one, but they took long as 7- 8 months to change the temporary teeth to the new implant.. Yeah long time And after that they told her she was having the same problem on the other side.. I had to take control and took my mother to another dentist. And surprising the Dentist said she had not problem with that, she wasn't loosing bone and not infection detected Makes me wonder if she really had such problem before. Always make sure you have a second opinion before you get such a expensive treatment. The people who work there seems to have no experience whatsoever This places is only looking for your money and don't care about your health. read more

I went to Dr. Arash Hakhamian with horrible tooth pain. All of a sudden my the top left side of my mouth started killiing me. I brush, mouthwash and floss, but that didn't stop me from getting some sort of under the tooth infection. Dr. Arash told me how it happened, and then proceeded to call in Dr. Cooper (his root canal guy). Both Dr. Arash and Dr. Cooper were amazing. I came in with horrible tooth pain, I left feeling back to normal. The sense of relief so was great I almost passed out. I read the other negative review about the staff being slow and the office not being clean. I must say I disagree. The building is old, but it's not dirty, it's just old. There's a difference. All I care about is the fact that Dr. Arash and Dr. Cooper were top notch Pro's. Go here, you'll get taken care of. And by the way, the price was more than reasonable. I thought that root canal was going to cost me way more then it actually did. With my left over money I went out for a nice dinner later that night (Ate the food with No problems!) I just recommended this dentist to my gf and realized I never wrote a review! This place is a life saver! I recently had to have an emergency root canal done. I went as soon as they opened and I was done by the afternoon. Everyone that works there is wonderful and friendly. It can get a bit expensive, but it's doable. I have found a cheaper dentist, but I don't wanna give up the experience I get here. They're just so personable and actually nice to be around. Come here, especially if you hate the dentist. They'll put you at ease. Oh also, you can't beat free exams and x-rays! read more

This place is super slow. Be ready to wait 1.5 hrs + from your set appointment time. Longest 5 minutes ever, at .5hrs receptionist said and kept on saying five more minutes, five more minutes. 5 minutes =1.5 hours + to them. read more

I have to agree that the doctor is pretty charming and well mannered. He appears very professional. The reception staff, however, is a different story. Jessica is one I the most unethical and rude b*!€£$ I've ever met. As far as treatment, I too, felt pressured to have expensive work done, but I declined. I just might look for another dentist :/ As far as waiting time, yes! It's a bit ridiculous. Not to mention parking. Don't bother folks, keep looking somewhere else. read more

I love this place. I was so scared to come to a dental office because previously i had encountered dental proffessionals that were just so rude. Dr Arash is amazing. He was very gentle explained everything to me calmly and in a very calm and caring manner. It didnt feel like he was a tooth nazi. Words cannot describe how grateful i am to have found this place. The entire staff was so nice and they took time to notice you. I wasnt just checked in and out. I even got a follow up call after my root canal, which i thought was awesome cuz i am sometimes a wimp when it comes to asking for help. I HATE the dentist but this place is the exception to that. I've always had the fear of going to the dentist because of bad experiences when I was younger.. whether it was horrible staff or bad techniques. . But when I first arrived to this place I felt really comfortable with the nice staff and awesome doctors! They'll make you lose the fear! :D I've had deep cleaning done here and I didn't feel a thing! I've also had 2 wisdom teeth removed with no pain! The waiting time is a bit long, at times. The staff is very friendly, and caring. I am usually afraid of going to the dentist, but they make my fear go away. I honestly didn't feel any pain when they were extracting my wisdom tooth for the 5th time, as I did in other places (yes, I had a 5th wisdom tooth out) They also did filling and was pretty quick, as well as the cleaning. read more
