I took my son here to apply for his permit. WE did not leave with all the paperwork needed. I now have to go to the RMV which was the WHOLE point of going here. Make sure you have everything you need before you leave because they can't reprint anything and you'll end up like my poor son who has to wait even longer now to take his permit test. AND if you call back they tell you, you received it and you must have lost it. read more

I'm a PAYING AAA member for few years now and they offer RMV services to avoid possible lines and wait at a regular branch, one of my company vehicles lost the little tiny "24" decal sticker that goes to back plate in a past snow storm after affixing so even this part to start I found ridiculous made a APPOINTMENT, yes had to make a appointment in advance for a 2x2 sticker. Since I'm in a business I use my vehicles shockingly for what else? But to make money!!! Thus the actual vehicle and registration were out on the road with my staff in use. Upon entering and waiting at the "wait to be called" sign after repeated eye contact and a unnecessary delay the older woman wearing a covid mask called me up and was ready to "check me in" - this all quite a lengthy process for a little damn sticker!!! I've had dental work done with less of a check in process. After confirming my membership I proceed to provide the woman with the screen image of the vehicles registration on my phone for which she immediately locked up and her guard went up, any possible way not to help me was in order now, advised me a paper copy was necessary to get my oh so desired sticker. She then went on to ridiculously offer to charge me $25 for a new registration to facilitate getting this sticker. The PLATE WAS ACTIVE IN RMV SYSTEM!!! I showed her again, asked if I could even email the page to her to print out as a courtesy ...nothing was gonna happen, ashes in an urn, ghosts at the cemetery were gonna be more useful and lively and understanding than covid granny. She advised that they strictly follow registry 'policies' which said I needed the paper copy, odd 'policy' I never knew existed nor do I know if it really does because after wasting 25 minutes of my workday going out of my way from Hopkinton to Franklin, I visited the Milford RMV branch on my way home, more time out of my day might I add. After a brief wait in the check in line I was provided my desired sticker no questions asked, very sad that a state agency was more helpful than a service from a private company you pay for to expect convenience and exceptional service. Shame on you Franklin AAA you give the whole company a bad name, thanks to your red tape and horrendous unfriendly service you have lost me as a member. I will not renew ever again. Kudos to the Milford RMV they saved the day from this fiasco of an operation, I almost want to buy the whole RMV branch staff lunch on my company dime for going above and beyond if it was possible to do, they earned it with just a tiny blue 2x2 24 plate decal. If you want to retain members and customers either take the time to retrain your staff to be compassionate and make logical reasonable exceptions as well teach them manners and people skills or shut this AAA branch down!!! read more

AAA has left a 73 year old man with COPD in a hot parking lot for four hours, telling him time after time that someone's en route, he's next, 40 minutes, 20 minutes. He explained that he was ill and if it was going to be a long time, he would get a ride home and come back to the car later but they continue to tell him someone would be right there. Who would treat an elderly and ill human being this way? All he wanted was a true answer - not a priority response to the call, just the basic human decency of being told when the person would arrive. I've given family members "the gift" of AAA. I have been a loyal member of AAA for several years, but truly the only thing they are good for is renewing a license. Half the time when I deal with RMV/Insurance, I find out that they've connected me with the wrong account, mixed up who's car is whose, just put in wrong information, etc. and I always have to fix things. A few months ago we tried to utilize one of their travel agents (since its part of the membership), and we blatantly got stood up. After having to make a second appointment due to a fire alarm issue during our first one, we sat and waited until 10:45 for our 10:00 to 11:00 meeting, for the agent (Judy Cedrone), who said she would help build our itinerary and that it would be done in about a week. Well 2 months and several ignored emails later-still no response and by that time our flight tickets for our honeymoon skyrocketed, so thanks for costing us the extra grand. Today after having already called in advance and having paperwork emailed to me (with wrong info that I again needed to fix) and making the appointment to change my name on my title and registration- I get told that they dont do that. It is not clear online whether they do or not-and their insurance rep who I spoke to said it would be all set- so again- thanks for wasting my time and gas. This was the last straw for me, they have proven themselves truly worthless. read more

Tried to get in for an appointment for my son's learner's permit. Called the AAA Franklin phone number in the am and was told I could pick up my son from school and go in and do standby (wait for an opening). When I got there the manager(maybe?) told me I needed an appointment and didn't even consider taking us on standby because they were "such a busy branch", and apparently it didn't matter what I was told on the phone. There were only 4 people in the office, 1 being helped and 3 waiting. There were more associates than people there! Very unhappy about losing 1.5 to 2 hours of my time because one AAA associate on the phone said one thing and the person at the branch was not helpful and not courteous at all. Wish I'd taken a photo or video of how "busy" it was. Update: While I was very disappointed with my first visit to AAA Franklin, I do want to update this review now. I wrote to AAA to explain exactly what I explained above when I arrived home that evening. First thing in the morning, the District Director emailed me back and asked if we could talk on the phone. We talked within 1/2 an hour of the correspondence, I explained what happened in detail, and I was assured that my experience was unacceptable and would be handled internally. She made sure that my already scheduled visit, two days later, would go smoothly and it did, in and out in maybe 13 mins or less. We were provided with a free extension to our AAA membership for our troubles. In addition, I was offered assistance with another upcoming RMV appointment as well. While our son still had to miss practice to go in again, we still wasted our time which is precious, and it doesn't change the very poor experience I had at the branch originally, it is very important that AAA backed up their reputation and are absolutely determined to make this right for us overall. read more

I went inside the office and it was completely empty. I spoke to them with respect and had all my paperwork done but the lady refused to help me. They told me they would help me in 2 hours even though they were just sitting there 2 people were just sitting there talking about their families instead of helping customers. Free instant passport photos for gold-level members!! (who really wants to pay for photos when you already have to pay $110 for a passport renewal?!?!) Very efficient and friendly staff. I have never personally used their travel agency department but it seems to be rather well-run with loads of info available (although the brochure prices seemed higher than what I could put together on my own...I guess you pay a premium for someone else to do all of the legwork). On a side note, they have some of the lowest rates for auto insurance I have found. read more

AAA used to be amazing, but now they've grown too fast and haven't really kept up with the demand. If you try to call the branch, you won't get an answer. If you go in, expect a 30-minute minimum wait for service. If you break down, start walking. Their roadside assistance has been HORRIBLE lately. My husband broke down the other day in record cold -- not really a surprise. Cold weather and breakdowns go hand-in-hand, right? You think a company that specializes in breakdowns would know this and would have extra staff on hand to handle an expected increase in call volumes. Not AAA -- it took him 2 hours to even get through on the phone to place a tow request and then another 1.5 hours for the truck to arrive. Thank goodness he was able to get into a nearby business to stay warm, otherwise I don't know what he would have done. Another head's up - the app for AAA Northeast is completely useless. The company as a whole needs a lot of work. The branches can only be as good as the company allows them to be and unfortunately for Franklin, AAA's service in general has gone downhill lately. It's not the branch's fault -- it's just poor service from AAA in general. read more

My mother booked a vacation to the Dominican Republic through this office. Michelle was her travel counselor. When my mom was in the Dominican Republic, Hurricane Maria was steadily approaching. I called Michelle in a panic to somehow get my Mom out of the DR. Michelle took a day and a half of her time to work on re-scheduling flights, following through, arranging travel pick up from the hotel, and even was emailing us at night time to ask if my Mom had made it back safely. This is the kind of travel agent that you want helping you book your vacations! I cannot ask for better service level. Our family and friends will continue to use this office!!! Their entire office from the receptionist to the Branch Manager gave us the urgent attention we needed for this crisis. read more

First time going there. Have gone to Westwood office for years. Found service very poor. As lines formed, there was no effort to move things along as only one clerk handled the traffic, although many people,4-5, were sitting idly at their desks. No triage. I ended up leaving as I had to get somewhere and ran out of time. Went to Westwood the next day and had great service. read more

It's clear someone here is carefully managing the business. I've dealt with several diff people and had consistent friendly engaging help WITH RESULTS. That never happens, anywhere. No matter what I've asked, they knew what I was talking about and were right on it. I had an odd question about aligning renewal times on family of 4 that all joined at different times. These guys told me exactly what to do and helped me get started within a few short minutes. I'm surprised I'm writing this review since I don't go in here very often but this place got my attention and I wanted to give them kudos. read more

Great service with very helpful staff who where very accommodating to the special needs of my passport photos.

The license year label fell off my license plate. Calling the RMV was a waste of time, and I certainly wasn't going to drive somewhere and stand in an endless line by actually going to the RMV. Triple-A Franklin can do this, though, so that's what I did. There was a wait there, too, because only one person handles this, but the line was much shorter than at the Registry. It would be nice if they had more employees certified to do RMV transactions, because then doing routines thing like this at AAA would be a dream. read more

The people are friendly and cooperative my only complaint would be that trying to get them on the phone for trip tics or any other questions is nearly impossible apparently they are short staffed, because the phone almost never gets answered read more

The office was really nice and funny and made my day when I got a flat but it turned around after the tow man got there to fix my tire he made me pritty much change the tire my self and when I was going to give him a tip he laughed and said that's not enough and ($50 cash) and drove off I will probably be canceling my memebership soon read more

I visit this AAA location several times a year, usually to purchase discounted movie tickets. The staff is usually very friendly and the location is not overly busy so I rarely have to wait. My last trip here was followed by a phone call from someone at this location stating that I had been undercharged for the tickets and they needed to me provide payment for the difference. I was caught off guard by the call in the first place and the tone of the speaker didn't sit well with me so I pushed back and asked if was really reasonable of them to call me and ask for a credit card over the phone to fix their mistake. She responded that if I didn't pay the difference they would deactivate the movie passes... wait, what?!? I mentioned that I had used most the passes that day and felt it was completely ridiculous that she was threatening me when the whole thing was a problem they created for themselves and expect me to resolve but at this point their whole approach has irritated me to a point where I don't feel I owe them anything. No other business has every called me up after an error on their part to ask for more money and it seemed like harassment for this office to put this burden on me while being quite mean about. This office is the most convenient but it's not my only option so I'll likely avoid it for awhile and opt to take my business to another location. read more

If you are seeking a travel agent/agency to assist in your vacation plans, DO NOT use AAA in Franklin, MA. We had not traveled for 25+ years and thought it wise to seek expert travel advice in planning our 30th anniversary trip to Hawaii. The agent we ended up with was of minimal, at best, assistance. When we first met, she was polite and friendly. Shortly thereafter, when we made inquiries, she took on quite a disinterested attitude, causing us to constantly wonder about the next step. We were always left with questions. She was out of the office more often than not. She basically booked our cruise and that was it! Never offered any information on excursions, public transportation, restaurants, nothing! No courtesy call before or after our trip. AAA claims to offer their travel discount; however, our agent never provided a price comparison of sorts. While in Hawaii, meeting fellow cruisers, we learned that the supposed discount with AAA was no bargain but rather we paid more! We also learned how much more others' travel agents/agencies did for them, none of which AAA Franklin, MA did for us. We would never ever use AAA for travel arrangements again in the future. We and any other travelers would always be better off to book their own trips rather than using AAA Franklin MA. So very disappointed with the service we received. The AAA agent certainly put a negative spin on a most special trip of a lifetime. Fortunately, we enjoyed our Hawaiian trip but still feel infuriated when thinking back to the planning of the trip through AAA. read more

I recently used this location to renew my license [this was after the new requirements went into effect]. I brought lots of ID as I did not know what they would need. Prepare to present your official birth certificate [not a copy] as well as anything that would confirm your current address. Here's the fly in the ointment: there is a form that you print out from the RMV that confirms your paper work before you get there. And they now want your SSN. As we all know, this is a terrible risk for identity theft and there will be thefts per this new requirement. I asked AAA what they did with the form to "secure it" and was told that it was kept in a locked office. People, this is not security. She added that they are eventually destroyed...hmmmm. With this new process in place, its more important than ever to contact one of the major bureaus and put a freeze on your account. I did but I still have anxiety about it. read more
