Just went today to get my new license. Nice people. You should expect to wait for a while. One thing I noticed while I was waiting was that nobody that walked in knew where they should go(including me). I think it would be helpful for them to invest in a couple directional signs so people know what to do when they first walk in. Other than that, no complaints...... read more

Zero Stars! Huge nightmare with endless holds and dropped calls. Called AAA for tire issue and AAA was not able to change my tire; he couldn't figure out the lug nut. . I left me car and keys with AAA as instructed. AAA abandoned my car and it was towed as an abandoned car over 8 hours later at 3 am!!!! AAA guy just left my car there and no-one communicated with me at all. When I realized next day, AAA had no idea where my car was. Now impounded. I need to pay cash in person to get of of impound but I have no car because AAA couldn't even do a tire change right. AAA messed up. It takes FOREVER on hold and no answers. "Josh" says AAA "may" reimburse for the impound fees, and "might" finally tow it at ....."a time". It would have been far less cost and hassle to just call a tow truck on my own - AAA = stay away!!!!! read more

When it gets busy, expect to wait a very long time for the simplest things. We came in today for notary and three people stepped ahead of us. The notary woman knew what we were here for because we came in the day prior for the same service. There are only two benefits I see with this location - the location set in Newburyport, and the fact that they run air conditioning indoors. If you need any AAA service, go to another location or order online. This is not an efficient location and I don't know why the notary named Linda turned her back on us to take care of three other people who were behind us. When I addressed the issue with the manager, she went to take over the other customer but Linda continued with the other customer, making us wait even longer. For a quick 5 minute or less notary stamp, Linda dragged this out to over 20 minutes and she wasn't very pleasant either. Perhaps there should be a ticket system like the RMV has because the attention to detail was not what we experienced here today or that we had a miserable experience yesterday. It's great that the notary service is offered for free but not great to be a life member and be treated like dirt. read more

We needed to register a new (to us) car. We called a few times and then came up on a Saturday. It was so busy that when my girlfriend walked in before Noon (they close at 1pm) they said they could no longer take people for registry stuff. Since we had driven up from Boston, I told my girlfriend to go back and explain that. They said no again. I went in because we had come so far and now it was too late to go anywhere else...tried to explain we had talked to someone. It took some explaining but when the smoke cleared-someone had gave up because of the long line and that combined with the fact that Patty (sp?) remembers talking with my girlfriend we were allowed to wait and get the car registered. I like this location but this visit was a bit dicey-at the end of the day though, I appreciate that they were able to make this work for us! Thanks for staying a little late. Because of this we got the car registered, and were able to get it inspected - doing this Mon-Fri just isn't doable for most working stiffs. The registry needs better hours and in a perfect world I wish AAA could find a way to be open a full day 6 days a week but not work their employees so hard. Imagine if other essential services were open 5.5 days a week? Anyway, while it got a little bumpy there, ultimately they did right by us and THIS IS WHY WE KEEP renewing AAA Gold Plus or whatever it's called now. Thank you to all involved!!! read more

I arrived a few minutes late, was delayed in a snow storm. The store was closed, and the staff let me in to renew my license, which expired the following day. Took them very little time. Went here to arrange a trip to Greece. I was told that "it would take a couple of days" to get back to me because they were "swamped". It has been nine days and no word at all, not even an email to touch base and apologize for the delay. Poor, poor service. They've always been helpful and willing to take the time to answer questions. I've asked about travel tips, got maps and purchased items there. All quick and easy, which is only one reason I'm a member there. My last trip in was to buy some RFID card holders. Got 6 & 2 passport RFID holders (as a package) for less than 2 RFID card holders were at a store. Plus, they offer RMV services which is awesome!! read more

Overall I have been very pleased with this branch until today. Travelers beware. If you use their buyback program for foreign currency check the current rates first. No one will warn you when the rates have changed and you will lose money on the buyback. They will not reveal the rates until the buyback is initiated. My travel weary brain wasn't thinking today and I lost $20 in the deal. read more
