    The gist of the issue w/ this place is a smile in your face while they lie and screw you over then…read morecharge you dbl for faulty parts & service. My ac compressor broke. I called them instead of using Sullivan's down the st bc they said they offer a ride home service & bc I'd used them 3 yrs prior for an ac issue I wasn't sure if it was the same part/possibly under a warranty. So I went to them. I'd mentioned to each shop I thought it was the ac compressor & neither one warned me if so it can stall your engine. Mine died w my sick cat in the car right before the rotary (I'd once been rear ended there -que panic) all bc I wanted to help my already stressed pet cool down & instead I potentially risked getting totaled or injured. I need this car daily for work. I'd expect a mechanic who states he leaves 5pm SHARP bc he's been doing it 15 years along w staff to warn me. I bring it in & it's not the old part but the compressor which was emphasized to me was DEFINITELY not new. So I get told I'm getting a NEW one & quoted 877. I say yes as I've stressed that ac is one luxury I'm not willing to compromise on AKA willing to pay. They order the part/put in. I call 4:50 bc I need for work & am told it's making a whining noise it shouldn't. Am told sometimes you get a bad one so I'm not charged & told to drive/listen + see if it goes away. To clarify the sound bc my car is loud they said bring it back before work Friday Am (time is $ and I'm dealing w a lot rn this is just what I don't need... I go back. This time I pay, he listens + says he hears sound, clearly busy he says it's not right & to come back Mon emphasizing don't worry! We prioritize customers who didn't have the job done right/dud part etc. (considering they also stated the part was on the bottom easy access this would have seemingly been a job I sit and wait which would have been nice )... but I say ok so bringing back Mon around 10:30 again same deal drop and ride home then pick up? Yup. I expected a much shorter timeframe as I'm told I'm prioritized as I've paid but LOL nope. They kept it all day again rather than having me bring it at 4 (essentially forcing me to work late which could have been avoided since he didn't even get to it until last) .."priority". I asked for an eta that morning thinking Cpl hrs tops but I was told "oh... well it depends IF WE CAN GET THE PART & GET IT HERE TODAY" excuse me? Wasn't the point of planning an appt. to have the part ordered and ready?! But wait! It gets SO much better (jk it gets worse). The real kicker? I ask so, brand new part then? (You know, thinking it took so long bc they had to wait to order a new part) nooope! She goes oh, no, he just dumped the oil out as it was old & put new oil in now it's good to go. I pause, wdym "old oil" ? ... "it's what's called a "remanufactured part" it's super rare you get a bad one but it happens" me ..now I'm processing right? It's sinking in what she is carefully wording. Me- "Okay sooo... refurbished...?" She "Well yes." Again, she emphasizes it's uncommon to get a bad one. I am processing the effed situation bc I am told I have an old compressor & now paid almost a grand & lost 2 full days & a morning of bs for A USED OLD BROKEN PART. Now how old is it? Do I get to know? Will it cause damage bc old oil got elsewhere? Why didn't I get a new part LIKE I WAS TOLD & SOLD? She tries saying oh well a new one costs 200-300 more (when I said I don't do refurbished bc I have bad luck) ... FIRST OF ALL... LIAR. I called shops around town and guess what ... I was charged for the cost of a new one WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN A LIFETIME WARRANTY btw! ....but obviously they don't want to be responsible for that now do they ... (again I stressed how much I value ac and WASN'T EVEN GIVEN THE OPTION TO PAY MORE FOR A NEW ONE which I WOULD HAVE) I get over charged for a broken old one and bc it's old it's a 6 month warranty and far more likely to break. SO SHADY! And all done with a smile! So to wrap up... 1. Not offered the option for new v refurbished 2. Lied to/told I was given a new one. 3. Be given an old one/saying rare it breaks (well of course ppl it's not new) 4. Charged the cost of a new one for an old one. 5. Shafted on a lifetime warranty 6. Lost time/money bc of an old shoddy part. 7. Potentially damaging other parts bc old. WOW just WOW! I want my money back. Or I want an ACTUAL new one installed when this one inevitably breaks OBVIOUSLY way sooner & will most likely break out of warranty, oh and if the old oil messes up other parts too!? Who pays for that Sandy bay? I'll never understand ppl that comfortable doing services in this way w/no integrity/transparency.
