Nikolay is the friendly plumber who replaced the on-demand electric hot water heater in my apartment. He was prompt. The new unit proved to be defective and failed that night. It was not his fault, and in spite of his busy schedule, he was back the next day to install a new heater which has worked fine since then. I'm giving him a 4 instead of a 5 because I paid him up-front, but it took over a month of repeated requests to finally get a receipt that I could give to my landlord. So bookkeeping is not his strong suit, but he is a good plumber and I recommend him. read more

After a large national chain plumber had failed to fix our problem on the first visit, scheduled us for follow up visits several times and then no-showed, I decided to seek another solution. Fortunately, I called AAA, and even though it was late in the evening after Roto Rooter had no-showed again, Nikolayi was at our apartment within the hour. He arrived, was very friendly, prompt, thorough, and quickly identified and fixed the problem, at a very fair price. I cannot understand why the first person had failed with how quickly Nikolayi was able to fix it, he got it fixed easily on the very try. I can only assume it's because the first guy was just an employee, whereas Nikolayi actually took professional pride in performing his job well, and did so very successfully. How could this company receive all of these great reviews? I called and was told I was calling a phone they could not hear me on (the phone number listed on yelp) and to call another cell #. They were supposed to come on Sunday and never did, received a text on Monday the appt system was down and they would come on Tuesday and that was it for me. Amazing service and knowledgable about fixing toilets. I called and within 1 hour the guy was at my house. I had one major problem he fixed immediately without any mess. Then he did an adjustment of another toilet and looked at a third i was convinced didn't work right. He assured me it was fine, just a low end toilet and I should leave well enough alone! These guys are horrible. I called several days in advance to schedule an appointment for when I was in town. They provided a one hour service time window. Before they showed up someone called me wanting me to pay for the service; they said they had already done the work! They thought I was the "owner" and told me that they had already completed the work at the unit. When I said I was the owner, that I was sitting in the unit, and that they had not come yet they quickly hung up. At 30 mins past the end of the service time window they provided I called and was told the tech would be at the unit shortly. An hour later I got the same story. An hour after that a guy showed up, in street clothes with no tools, looked at the issues, took some pics with his phone, and told me his life history. He told me he would have to write up an order and left. Never came back, no call, no nothing. I called the office who seemed confused; they did not call back either. AAA Plumbing Services is a master of his trade. I required emergency organization for a shower valve rupture/spill in a bathroom I shut off my water and I thought that I would be without it for the weekend, this Memorial Day weekend. Resulting to my search in Yelp, AAA Plumbing Services was the fourth call I made (should have been first) however that was the company I could actually speak with instead of a voice message and he endeavored to help me. They asked for the brand of part that failed. I didn't know so their specialist asked me if i can send him a few photos and elucidated that in case it was a Delta it would require substitution yet a Delta could be repaired. Sent him the pictures, I had a Delta, John from AAA Plumbing Services came and made the repair, welded, the channel, new contraptions, and the works. Exhibited to me the maker's assessment portion that failed and the new pipes he put in. Quality work, I have issues with spilling toilets that need new flush valves, et cetera, and now that I've found a tried and true individual, I'm going to give him something to do. I was having several plumbing related issues in my apartment: dripping kitchen sink, leaking bathroom sink, leaky toilet and a slow draining tub to top it all off!
