Apparently, the tank had not been pumped in a while, so he took the time to find the tank and made a hole in the top. He recommended that I install a 6" PVC pipe over the hole so they could have easy access in the future, which I did. When I stated that I did not see how taking photos of the toilets would fix a main line clog, your response was even more unreasonable. You told me that you did not want photos of the toilets themselves; instead, you wanted me--a non-plumber--to remove the toilets and take photographs of the sewage pipes. Claims he's doing me a favor by charging me $50 less. So my $2100 original quote becomes $2675. He claims he didn't remember doing my Neighbors project continues with excuse and excuse why he is owed the extra money for the permit. This is BAD BUSINESS! Do not go to these people. I can't believe someone would do this and with a smile on their face. Pitiful. **Long story short-this business did not have the proper permit and then charged me an additional $565 for their own mistake. Period. Words and lengthy replies are merely word salad to try to justify the main problem; charging me $565 for your mistake. **Update: This guy has relentlessly called, messaged, and sent me lengthy voice notes stating how he "hopes he never has to work with a client like me again." I was given the choice of three estimates which were way out of my price range and told the guy would need to call somebody else to get another estimate. I was totally shocked as my unit is not that old and was told that the motherboard was not sending signals to the compressor to turn on and if they replace the motherboard, it still may not send the signal and then I would have to replace my compressor also. I called another company that was also recommended to me and a technician within 10 minutes found the problem to be a $240 capacitor, which was changed in less than a half an hour and I had air again!! I can't imagine a company trying to rip off somebody buy so much money and completely miss diagnosing, a simple problem and trying and turning it into a huge disaster! I called and asked if they actually connected the well and they said that was not included. I asked how much extra and they did not give a price. Said they need to access when here. Ok. So Monday around 5 pm they said they are done and then suddenly emails me an invoice for an additional $650. It was never discussed or agreed to. This is shameful to do work that was not explicitly approved. This company has a naming convention like a government program Budget Wells. I don't really consider almost $6,000 budget.
