AAA Tree Service went above and beyond in helping us cut down our 130+ foot double leader redwood tree. We were very sad to have to bring it down, but because of drought and the fact that it shouldn't be growing outside a grove, decided to cut it down for safety purposes. I gathered 7 quotes, and AAA was able to match and beat their competition. They charged us half of what the job should have been. They came immediately for an estimate, and their admin was in constant communication with us and made it a seamless process. They were very clear and dealt with all of my concerns and gave us a heads up about what would happen. The crew worked for 2 days straight and even stayed til 7pm on the second day to finish the job. They cleaned up our backyard after the job. There was some minor damage to our fence (outside of their control), and they had someone take care of it so we didn't even need to worry. This was a really hard job, and they did it well, communicating well. They even left behind quality mulch for us to use in our yard, which wasn't in the contract but they did because I requested it. That was extra hard work because they were going to just mulch it off-site but did it onsite (had to manually lift so many extra trunks into the shredder thing) just for us. They also fulfilled our request to cut six little logs for chairs we want to keep in our yard. The crew was friendly and hard working. They did so much more than they had to, and I completely vouch for their service. I have high expectations, and AAA tree service met them. Really appreciated the fact that she got back to me very quickly on a couple of small details that came up our job. Bernie gave me a great price to remove five Live Oak trees on my property. They showed up with all the big, heavy equipment needed including bucket trucks, chippers, and all the rest. I have to say I was wondering if they could do it all in one day and they actually did it in an afternoon from 1 PM to 5 o'clock. They cleaned up and we're careful not to damage anything in the process even though one of the biggest trees was between my house and another with only about 8 feet of clearance. We were looking for a tree service but didn't know any reputable companies. My wife saw AAA at her work and suggested we call. I Yelped them and based on the reviews I contacted them and two other outfits for quotes. Bernie came the next day and gave us a quote for removing a eucalyptus and cleaning up a blue atlas cedar. The quotes were acceptable and we scheduled to have them do the work. They showed up early and got to work. We had previously decided to postpone the cedar but Bernie suggested that both trees could be completed the same day so we said yes. We are glad we did. The crew did a good job removing the eucalyptus. The tree straddled my next door neighbors property and we were concerned about the new fence but that was quickly put to rest. The crew worked well together and nothing was damaged. The cedar needed major cleanup and though it is healthy looked pretty ratty. After AAA finished the cedar was transformed! What a difference. Worst experience I have ever had with a company. I hired them to cut the palm trees in my backyard. I noticed one of my palm trees did not look right and I wanted it fixed. The owner denied my request stating there was nothing wrong. Per my neighbor it turned out the worker on one of my trees had lost his grip slipping down the tree causing an area of bunched up bark. I brought this to their attention with again denial and no offer to fix it. I offered to even pay for him to come fix and still denial. Meanwhile there has been wind and large pieces of the tree continue to fall all over mine and my neighbors backyard. One large piece hit a family member. It is extremely unsafe and frustrating. The fact they won't fix their mistake or even take responsibility is horrible. I will attach pictures to see the damage. Do not hire this company especially for palm trees. read more

Santos and his crew were professional, working quickly and efficiently. The guy (didn't get the name) doing the actual cutting in the aerial platform was extraordinary. As he maneuvered and positioned himself to tie-off a particular branch then cut at the best angle, I became nervous thinking "that branch is going to fall hard and damage my roof!" Never happened. The numerous and large branches fell in just the right directions, sometimes barely missing the roof or side of the house, but missing it nonetheless. Truly amazing to watch! They hauled everything away, and left the area below the tree almost leaf-free. Will definitely hire them again if we need more work done. read more

1) AAA gave the best estimate out of the few I requested. As other posters mentioned, I was initially worried that would compromise into the quality of their work--but it didn't (see below)! 2) AAA was the only one willing to deal with/lift up my fences to remove my privets completely (my privets were growing around my backyard pushing right against the fences). This is because they're also experienced repairing/replacing fences. The other tree contractors I contacted were not willing to touch my fences and hence wouldn't be able to remove my privets completely (including stump grinding). 3) As a result, my annoying privets (5-6 total) were gone without a trace--as if they're never there! 4) Re-hired AAA to replace the city tree in front of my house (roots were getting into my sewer line). We had to have a city tree replaced that was uplifting the sidewalk and threatening the waterline. Did the inspection work with the city which took longer than expected. When they finally did come out to examine the tree, they provided a list of approved business to do the tree work. Called several business's but AAA were the only ones that picked up and Bernie came out the same day to give me a price estimate. Worked with Patricia who was super easy to deal with. She took care of all the business with the city (permits, approvals, etc...) and was very helpful in the whole process end to end. We had a huge Silk tree branch crash into our house last week. The tree took out the power lines, destroyed our sunroom and damaged the deck. PG&E had to suspend our power and that of several of our neighbors, until the tree was removed. I called around to multiple companies but was only able to reach the owner of Vega's Tree Service. He wasn't able to get a crew out until the following day so he recommended AAA Tree Service. Bernie, the owner arrived promptly and gave us a very reasonable quote. The crew arrived in less than an hour and went straight to work. His employees were hard working, polite and followed safety guidelines while removing the tree. It took them almost 8 hours to finish the job and everything looked great afterwards. The only casualty was a broken pot, which was amazing given the size of the tree. We were able to have the power back on that very same day, thanks to AAA. To date, over a week later, only one of the 14 tree service companies I called has returned my message! These guys are great! We've used other services in the past and were so happy when we found AAA a year or so ago. AAA Tree Service is THE BEST! I heard about them through a friend at church, who told me they did a GREAT job there, at a reasonable price. Also, in comparison to other work I have had done on my trees, they were respectful of my requests and fantastic on cleanup. The job they did for me was a large one, removing an old stone pine that was blown over in a recent winter storm. I asked if they could first do the section that affected the fence and touched my neighbor's house, and they were able to change their schedule to fit that in the next day. This helped me keep the neighbor happy plus get the insurance claim going quickly. They were also flexible about itemizing their invoice (in part for the fallen tree and the rest for the damage to the fence). I recently used AAA Tree Service and they are by far the best ! The price was excellent,the job was completed in half the time I expected and the place was left perfect.
