Very spooky: These guys showed up on my (large) property and were cutting large oak branches even before I realized what was going on and put a stop to it. They said they were sent by Comcast and that it was "an emergency" - but there are only 5 properties beyond my house - and we all know each other - and no one's Comcast was out. Further, communications lines, unlike power lines, are low voltage, which means there's not a fire hazard. The rep finally called me back and was decent on the phone but I ended up thinking they have a contract with Comcast to do whatever they want so they just go start cutting when they need some cash. We just had our two mature tulip trees removed today by Arbor Vision. Zen, who came out to give us an estimate, was very helpful. He helped us brainstorm the different options. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it took them longer than expected to provide the estimate, but once we received the estimate and decided to go with them, Zen was able to schedule us in rather quickly. Arbor Vision just finished trimming a bunch of trees in our backyard and they made the entire experience super easy. Zen came out to give us an initial quote and was really helpful and knowledgeable. 5 minutes in and it was obvious that he knew what he was talking about. Zen made recommendations for trimming / fertilization and even took the time to look at a few trees that weren't part of the bid to make sure they were healthy. Zen had a fair bid over electronically in no time (which we obviously accepted). The day of the job an Arbor Vision crew was out on time and got straight to work. They did exactly what they said they were going to do and did a good job cleaning up after themselves when the job was complete. The crew was really professional and our trees look great. These guys are the real deal. They had a truck and towed shredder that looked like it belonged to a utility company (but newer and cleaner). All their guys wore uniforms and safety equipment (helmets and vest). I forgot to write this in December with the holidays. What an awesome team. Mike came out to give us a quote. Not the cheapest, but I did feel very comfortable that he knew what he was talking about. We have two large ornamental pepper trees that have not been touched in almost 13 years. The branches reached all the way to the ground. Mike's team arrived on time on the designated day. That lead took a walk around reviewed everything that was going to be done. I observed their work. Not only were they exemplary in their work ethic, but also in the safety of their employees. It was actually fun to see men up in our trees. They cleaned up everything from our property, our neighbor's property, and the city property. From the initial phone call with zen Salvidar and to the stump grinding service performed by Diego I couldn't be anymore happy as a customer. They were super flexible with my schedule as well as collecting payment. since I have to work most dayside wants on site, they gave me a competitive bid when companies wanted to charge 800-1000+ for stump grinding I was happy that they charge a fair price for Good quality work, Diego cleaned up the driveway after too with the blower and even spoke to me briefly and gave me good suggestions for a tree that has some branches covering my solar panels. Zen and crew did an excellent job on our overgrown trees which included a 75-foot eucalyptus tree. The trees were not just trimmed but professionally and beautifully sculpted like what you would see in resorts and wineries. The branches were cut allowing sunlight to come in but not too much maintaining privacy. I found Zen to be very knowledgeable about trees. One of our newer trees (Japanese Red Maple) had canker disease which Zen was able to identify. The other tree company that we called did not even notice that the tree was not healthy. The crew was very respectful and courteous. They cleaned up after they were done (including the branches that fell on our neighbors property) and put everything back in place.
