After returning from a vacation by plane, I found that my car which had been in the garage at home wouldn't start. A call to AAA Arizona shortly got someone to my house in less than an hour. The service person quickly checked out my car and informed me that even though the battery was only 3 years old, it was bad and he sold me a new battery, installed it and made sure that the alternator was good by doing a complete diagnostic check. In addition to the travel maps/info, I have purchased numerous travel items that are very good quality. The power converter/adapter is much lighter than my old one and built for more efficient use. I particularly like my cross-body purse with protective interior pockets for credit cards. These and the other travel items I've purchased have been hard to find elsewhere, especially with AAA's quality. And the people are friendly and always helpful. read more

Hello: I consulted AAA for travel to the Northern part of Arizona,Flagstaff, Grand Canyon area. Mardi from the Oracle office in Tucson, AZ was very knowledgeable in booking hotel arrangements and making a trip book for my travel. I was very pleased with the service, but I was not happy with the Econo Lodge hotel in Flagstaff, AZ. They raised the room rates where we paid $297.00 for one night in a room that was barely as big a a work cubicle. I give the Econo Lodge a -D for effort in trying to remodel the rooms to make them look more luxurious. Bathroom area has open closet and you bump into your clothes when going into the restroom. The hotel advised we were getting a good rate because the last room available was renting for $350.00 and no one would reserve it. Luckily we checked out the next day and traveled to Prescott and stayed in LaQuinta and rented a one bedroom KING SUITE for $125.00 with tax, this room was luxury. We should have staying in Prescott and drove up to Flagstaff, what we paid for Econo Lodge, we could have paid for two nights in Prescott. My advice to AAA DO NOT recommend that any AAA members stay in the Econo Lodge in Flagstaff, AZ,the room was terrible. read more

I have had AAA Road Service as long as I have been an adult no matter what insurance I carry. This affords me free maps and travel services. I get my passport photos here too as well as theme park and movie tickets. The personnel are always knowledgeable and vey polite. read more

I used AAA for an automobile accident and it was the worst experience ever. I did all the work and when I called my insurance representative Kieth Hinderberger he never returned my calls nor did any follow up action. You are on your own to navigate all the waters in finding a garage, completing paper work, tracking and negotiating with the other insurance company. Good Luck read more

Today's Traveling Women: I sighed up for the Chelsea Flower Show tour for "ladies only". The tour was in May 2017. This is the worse tour I have taken plus it was not "ladies only" as advertised in the AAA magazine. I believe this to be fraud in advertising. I do NOT recommend AAA for tours. I was not advised of any changes in the tour by my travel agent. I found out about the changes at the Welcome Dinner in London! I was stuck. I could not get home without additional expenses of about $2,000.00. I tried to get a partial refund from AAA and no luck. In fact the west office and Phoenix do not return calls or emails. Once again I believe the advertisement in the AAA magazine was fraud. read more

They over tightened the nuts when securing a tire the last time I was a member, not this office specifically. But the Tucson West Office did nothing to resolve the issue when I contacted them. I currently don't need a AAA membership, but I would have considered rejoining in the future. Not anymore, pretty much lost a customer for life with an unwillingness to accommodate, and admit your mistakes. The woman at the Tucson West Office I spoke to went as far as calling me a liar essentially. Explaining that I could have taken it to another shop or done it myself, sometime after their tech worked on my car. I know it's possible to accommodate me in this situation, but a simple choice was made to not believe me, or simply not care. I manage a food service establishment. If someone came in complaining that their experience was poor last time, I wouldn't refuse them service because they don't have money this time. It does not matter that I am not a member any more, I was a member when your tech made the mistake. A business should be willing to admit mistakes, take responsibility, and sometimes go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. All I want is for someone to loosen these bolts, I need nothing else. I have been using the same tool for years, and have never had a problem until your tech tightened the nuts. Walked in at midday, showed my card and asked for a passport photo. Sat in the lobby for about 30 seconds before a very nice lady came to get me. She took me to an area set up for passport photos, got a great digital shot on the first try, processed the film and trimmed it to the required size. I think it took about five minutes. An excellent choice if you're a member of AAA; no charge! read more

I loved AAA in Tucson. I went in and within 15 minutes I had an international drivers license, a book and maps and some new light-weight luggage on clearance. Everyone was really nice and super helpful and its a huge facility - haven't been in a AAA in years but will be much more from now on! read more

I had a transmission problem with my van and called AAA for help getting a rental while the van was in the shop. I received a call back within an hour and they immediately booked me a full-size car at Hertz for under $20/day. I had the confirming e-mail in less than 5 minutes. The only way I could have been more pleased with the service is if they had picked up the phone when I called initially! read more

I arrived at the Tucson office early in the morning with my boyfriend to obtain an international drivers license. I am a member of AAA, but he was not currently. We were surprised to learn that since we were living together, he could be added to my membership for free and also receive a discount for the license (no fee for the photos). The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend this office for any of your travel needs. read more
