Had to come here 3 times for sons car as he is a Muscian and in London at time. Had to pay state as it was late didn't know. Paid it came back again with the smog to receive my sons tags .So i stood around to get sticker as it's paid. I wanted to make sure i was correct in waiting here . 20 minutes passed and still line not moving and was late now for work for a basic question.Walked over to a lady asked if she knew of situation of state and said no and was Rude rolled her eyes went back again to receptionist who again the third time I was told wrong that they would send the sticker? Didn't make sense again. I walked out and then back in walked back to the back and saw Stephanie at DMV services there was no one in her seat so I asked could i please ask a question and could you help me.Said Yes with such warmth sit for a minute. I've been told wrong 3 times now. She looked up everything saw what was wrong and Boom like wonder woman took care of it. As Beautiful as she is Sweet and Kind. Thank you for being Kind.What is going on here I heard how Saturday was busy and workers saying that's not my job and I cut out. Wow. Absolutely terrible, was only in there for less than 5 minutes but that was more than enough, big ass dude working in the front had the nastiest attitude, what happened to the basic greeting when someone walks into an establishment that's supposed to be reputable like AAA? Walked in, zero greeting, stood there right infront of him for a good almost 2 minutes while the ogre was just chatting it up with his coworker, zero acknowledgment, how rude to keep having a loud and funny conversation for almost 2 minutes while we're just standing there waiting .. then when he finally decides to do the bare minimum of his job like greet and acknowledge customers, he has a nasty attitude, like im sorry to interrupt your conversation homie but it's part of your job to speak and help MEMBERSHIP customers, so horrendous. Took my hubby here to get a PASSPORT PHOTO. DON' T WEAR A WHITE TOP!!!! ( If you do, they have a red or blue jacket to use.) It only cost $11 + tax. Check in at the front desk with your AAA card . They will tell you to have a seat in the BACk area. When they CALL out your name, FOLLOW them. After you PAY, follow them to the front area. They will take two pics. You get to PICK which one want. I do not recommend AAA Insurance. I called in late February to renew my policy and was told my monthly payment would stay at $190, so I signed the documents they sent. On 03/23, I was charged $317 instead. When I called to fix it, I had to repeatedly update and provide my personal information because it was not being corrected or updated as I was told, and my account was somehow mixed up with my sister's. On top of that, different representatives gave me conflicting information, and no one could resolve the issue. I ended up canceling and switching to another company with a better rate and much better customer service. It was ultimately my mistake for not reviewing the documents carefully before signing, but the overall experience was frustrating. Save yourself the headache. read more

Roadside assistance was not provided I called in at 12:00 am had a family emergency. My tire was popped by a metal object on the street. They never showed up thankfully we had family members that were able to come and help assist me. I was very disappointed because most times they did come and attend to roadside assistance. I just wanted to let you know about a situation that really makes me mad. I received a call on April 20th telling me she was a person that facts checks peoples work after hours. And no I didn't get a name, my mistake. She told me the check I wrote for the tags and registration on my truck was for only a$1.86 that I made a mistake. I said I would come right up and change it but she said they were closed to come up the next day in the morning. And I could not. But the carrier comes and gets everything about 9:30-10:30. Anyway when I called and said I have copy check and the check was wrote correctly they said that I would have to come down and show them so could they sign off. I came down on my time today. Sat there for about 10 minutes. Not wasting any more of my time. I was the only person in the waiting area. Not like they were over busy. Told the girl at the desk I was leaving if they wanted proof they would have to come to my house. I have my canceled check and my copy check. And I'm sure somewhere you should have it logged who called me. And who I talk to both times, they say they are recording you. But I wanted to take advantage of having your number to let you know. Just to get it off my chest. I don't think it was handled very professional. This was sent to a manager so far no response. I have been with AAA for 17 years. I think this is the most humiliating experience to not be trusted when I have the proof and you think they could look it up and see my check cleared the bank. Is that not what computers do. I visited today June 11, and I just have to give a shout-out to one of the employees working to the left of the entrance (unfortunately, I didn't catch his name). This guy truly deserves a raise! He was incredibly helpful--not only to the customers but also to his coworkers, constantly stepping in to make sure everything ran smoothly and people got prompt service. Unlike the majority of Yelpers, I actually had a good experience on my last visit. The directionals inside the branch were a little misleading and confusing but a person in line told me that the first area as you enter the branch, is where members check-in. The woman who checked me in was not particularly cheerful but not rude either. This is what would set apart a 5 star experience vs. a 3 or 4. I needed travel guidance and she took my information and told me to be seated in the back waiting area. I waited literally 2 minutes before I was called in to see the kindest and most helpful Triple A specialist, Eric S. Eric was so patient and helpful. He had a wealth of knowledge and gave me several valuable travel tips. I consider Triple A an untapped wealth of resources (kind of like a public library) and this is an example of such. I faintly recall having to register my car a couple of years ago and that process went pretty smoothly, too. I had a great experience but I think it's because my expectations weren't set super high. Triple A definitely gives DMV vibes as far as customer service but if you go in with an open mind I believe you'll be pleasantly surprised. I would definitely recommend Eric however in the travel department for your travel needs! Pay him a visit! read more

This review is not about the office. Kinda disappointed at myself for not getting a name yesterday. We were in need of a tow . Called number off our auto club card. After 502 questions , in 90 degrees temperature and several useless text messages the BEST tow truck driver called us . Yes he was dispatched to our location.He confirmed the issue and said I'm 10 mins away . Showed up in 5. Addresses the issue , tried jumping our truck , in which the " other battery expert driver" who called and said " I'll just have you towed, to save time " and never switched the request over to " a tow " Well all I have is a picture of the tow truck towing our truck . A picture of the nicest person towing our truck . No name ! I forgot to ask ! I was already frustrated with the experience we had prior to this young man saving the day . So professional. Quick . Apologized for his truck not having air conditioning. Wish we could help him with that ! He deserves way more than my tip I gave him. Couldn't thank him enough. We could only hope the company ( didn't get company name or his name ) acknowledge and recognize him. Hoping this review gets to the company he works for ( red color tow truck) and recognize the people like this man who know their job , who know what to do , and GET IT DONE without and attitude and so polite and courteous. My husband passed away December 3, 2024. I'm so frustrated right now, I'm ugly crying. Monday June 2nd would have been our wedding anniversary. Tuesday June 3rd will be his 6th month anniversary of when he passed away. I'm sure this is why I'm hypersensitive. I called our auto insurance AAA a couple of weeks ago to adjust the mileage on his pickup truck, since he is no longer driving it. I was instructed to call back after 5/26, so I called today. They are decreasing the number of miles the truck is driven going forward. Which will decrease my premium. I explained that the truck has not been driven on a daily basis since December 2024. I told her that I've been calling them, going to their office to handle several other insurance related issues, have brought in his death certificate, not once has anyone suggested the amount of miles the truck will be driven in one year be decreased. I requested to speak to a Supervisor. She gave me the same answer. I told her this was a disservice since becoming a widow doesn't come with a handbook. Went to my local AAA office here in Whittier, California for travel quotes. Met with travel agent Hector Arias. We sat with him for about an hour. He wrote down our traveling dates, destinations we were considering, and our budget. He said he would search and get back to us with price quotes from the different destinations in a few days. Definitely worth the membership!! I've always had a really great experience at this Auto Club location. They are typically pretty busy, but they run a tight ship and I've never spent too terribly long there. Customer Service reps tend to be on the friendly side more often than not. I love AAA for it's free maps, services, books, etc. They offer so much! But I will say that the best part is the DMV services. They save me from major headaches. So ill start by saying this review isnt so much the entire facility, its more for the travel office. Im sure AAA is amazing at being attentive to their members, but in my case I had the worst experience with them. It started off great when I had Chris (who is no longer with the company) they assigned a new travel agent to our trip. One would expect the same service. Well unfortunately it was bad. We took our trip (which was great, except for some minor things) We then decided to follow up with our travel agent, to keep them in the loop, being we arent on our home turf. The lack of response. The lack of understanding. The lack of communication was incredibly mind blowing. They claim they dont work for commission...whether true or not...but if its NOT TRUE...then shouldnt ALL TRAVEL AGENTS be equally attentive to all the members that book trips? We wrote an email. We spoke to the supervisor and that was such an incentive conversation. We expected NOTHING but a SINCERE apology...instead we received a 'OH, WELL UNFORTUNATELY WE ARE SO BUSY BECAUSE PEOPLE ARE STARTING TO TRAVEL.' After a pointless conversation, the wonderful supervisor offered us a GENEROUS SEE'S CANDY CERTIFICATE. NOW...THAT ABSOLUTELY MAKES UP FOR THE TERRIBLE SERVICE. Well last March 2023 I had a broken pipe. I contacted my home insce AAA they send a plumber said it was broken pipe under the slab and they would repair it. Yesterday I received a letter stating that as of May 2025 my coverage would be cancel due to fact that the repairs were expensive. For the last 7 plus years they had no problem taking my monthly payments (auto pay never late) it was ok when they were taking my money no complaints but now is not good because they actually had to pay for repairs! Well isn't that what insurance is for? Wasn't that why I was paying for? They could have said no back in March 2023 I would have contracted an outside plumber I was out of my home for almost two months!! but they waited 11 months to figure this out. This cancelation is unlawful I consider this fraud, they took my money and saw no problem doing so. I will also contact channel 5 -9-7 and put this out there. However, they have a DMV service as well. I came in to the Whittier AAA office and I was greeted by a very nice gate keeper that directs me where to go for DMV services. Which by the way, must be paid in cash or check. A helpful representative introduced herself - I paid and she provided the car tags in a jiffy! The entire process was less than 10 minutes! Priceless!! I normally pay through DMVonline but I wanted the car tags before driving to San Diego. Every year I pay for 2 of the AAA membership Plus. I went simply for lost pink slip on a vehicle. They couldn't help me. I had to go to DMV the limited to service.

This is not about the office but AAA it self. I've been a member for about 28 years now they are pricey but we're consider to be one of the best insurance companies around they pretty much handle everything this was one of the reasons I've stood with them just up to 1/17/24 it began with my 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe it was parked while my wife was working someone tried to park next to her and hit her car. Luckily the guy went in the store to ask who drove the Hyundai. My wife comes out the guy damaged the whole right quarter panel. My car has a three stage paint job with black wrap, all around guy has a third-party insurance was in his company truck. This all happened in the parking lot of Home Depot. My wife calls me. I tell her she needs not to show her license. It was in a private parking area. The guy hit our car . So we file the claim with AAA being we could never contact the other parties insurance company. Here's where it all goes down they assign us a claim adjuster by the name of Jessica H she then tells me I would have to pay the thousand dollars deductible I tell her I wasn't driving nor was my wife that should be wave. Finally, she gets it waived. We take it to the Body Shop of our choice I drop it off she sends out a guy by the name of James Schultz, don't even know if this guy is licensed, but he's probably works under AAA's license guy is using an outdated, Body Shop estimate, book or calculator. This guy goes back-and-forth with the Body Shop owner and wants him to use aftermarket parts or use parts and just repair it I get a phone call from the body shop and I tell him negative I want original parts on my car. I did speak with Mr. Schultz who is very confrontational and wants to argue the point that my car is a used car now mind you I bought it in February 8, 2023 wasn't a year old yet everyone knows the minute you drive a car off the car lot it depreciates so he hits me with this crap. I tell him I pay a lot of money for a policy full coverage and you're treating me like I am not the customer. I'm not the one that hit the car then tell him he needs to take care of this and fix my car the way it was I didn't have any dents on it. This is a big nightmare with this fella anyway my car gets fixed to my liking from the body shop. They still owe a balance of $2590.52to the shop, and now refused to pay him, the total estimate was $5755 they only wanted to pay 3154 which does not even cover the hours being billed on hours being spent on car if you know about paint jobs a three stage paint job is not cheap james told the shop to just match it that's impossible. It would look like a two-tone. You gotta blend it or it won't look like the car we bought. So pretty much what I'm leading to is look around before you go with AAA and read the find print ! It has a Clause in there, stating they will use aftermarket parts or use parts to repair your car. Go with the fly-by-night insurance company because you're gonna get treated the same with AAA. They don't stand behind their name no more every since Covid hit. Seems like every insurance company has went down the drain that's why you see a lot of companies not covering cars or homes in California. Be careful when going with AAA, . you can best bet I will be filing a claim with the BBB and the insurance commissioner you can't let people get away with crap like this, and ripping off the consumers read more

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TRIP BOOKS? Well I'll tell you. AAA now has you download an App, then you can pull up the different books by States, then TRY to read it on your phone. Why? My thought is because it's cost saving. Since we don't get the books I think the cost should COME DOWN. Writing this review in regards to our experience calling the AAA Whittier Insurance & Member services on Saturday 12/9/23 at 11:50am. My girlfriend was placed on hold for 30+ minutes after requesting a declaration of her policy. After feeling that she was left forgotten on hold, my girlfriend called the office from a separate phone number. Her call was picked up my a woman in Sales, who did not state her name. The woman stated that they are typically busy on Saturdays, which is completely understandable. My gf then asked for this woman's name, and her exact response was "I already gave it to you, so it's not my fault if you didn't hear it the first time", and then hung up the phone! In disbelief, we decided that we should go to the branch office in person because clearly this woman does not care about her job or providing any level of customer service to clients. We will be writing to corporate about this incident and switching providers for our entire family as a result of this appalling experience. read more
