This morning I did the brakes on my car so I was up a bit later than normal. When I went to use my toilet it was not flushing. Plunger, hand snake, and a garage full of water later, I'm in panic mode and tired. It's now close to 2:00pm on a Friday and I'm worried about who I can get out here on short notice... and how much this is going to cost me. I searched for a few plumbers based on reviews and proximity, and Dave from Drain Kings was one of them. Dave's very nice wife answered the phone and she informed me he was currently at a job, but would call him. He was at my place within an hour and a half. He came out anticipating a snake job but after diagnosing he found a substantial clog in my pipes and got elbows deep into a big mess and cleared it all out. He saved me $100 dollars on the call. He easily could have snaked the lines and charged me much more, but he was upfront and honest. He gave me some tips on how to prevent future clogs, and guaranteed his work for ninety days. Meaning if a snake is needed in the future the price will be offset by the charges from the work already performed. He was fun to speak with throughout the process too. I would definitely use Drain King again. I witnessed firsthand that the guy knows his shit. And I mean that literally.

Two gentlemen showed up at 4pm. They said there was "too much water in the pipes". They removed my toilet and sent a snake down and put in some chemicals. Said they would charge extra to put the toilet back on. Told us if that didn't work to call them back and they'd come with "a bigger snake". Charged me $544. I called back that night as it obviously did not work. Night receptionist had no idea what I was talking about or that I was even a customer. Said she would have the owner call me. He did not. Called the next day and again was told the owner would call me. He did not. Called a different plumber on Wednesday who actually jetted my pipes. He also said the snake actually made it worse by pushing more down. I called the amazing receptionist again who said the owner offered me 10% off. $54 dollars. They did not do what I specifically called them to do -jet my pipes. I think it was going to be a long, messy job and they didn't want to do it, so they threw a snake down and charged me $544. Then I recently needed PEX replaced in my shower and to have the shower head secured from inside the wall as there was nothing bracing it. Very reasonable prices and I'm happy with their work.
