Personally, I love that about this company. This is what they do and they do it well. They've always been prompt. They're honest about the levels, depth of the problem and the resolution processes. The do what they say they're going to do and they care about their work. Realtors recommend them because of their reliability and the personal customer service that they give to each their customers. I purchased a home in New Albany, and during my inspection it was determined that we needed to install a radon mitigation system. I negotiated with the seller, and decided I, the buyer, would manage the install of the system. My thought was as I'm going to be living in the home, I wanted to ensure I had a system I liked, from a company I selected. I contacted two companies, Aadvanced Aair being one of them, via email and explained to Kevin (the owner) that I didn't have the home for another month, and that I would coordinate a time and date via my agent and the seller/seller agent. Two days later, I have a quote from this company. Turns out he decided, on his own, to get in touch with the seller, and go see the home and do the inspection and make the proposal. I was NOT happy that this was done without my knowledge, as I told him I would work through the agents. I wanted a block of time planned in advance so I could have TWO companies quote and minimize inconvenience to the seller, who's been very good to work with. I let Kevin know I wasn't happy that he did this. No apology. He tells me I don't understand how this is done!? WHAT??? I'm the one paying for a system! I asked him to wait until I coordinate with my agent. He never "educated" me on the proper way. The lack of communication, the arrogance just pissed me off. NO WAY will I give him this job, even if I pay more with someone else. I won't do business with someone like this, it's a sign of trouble!!! read more

We decided to go with another company since Kim was super rude. After we had been e-mailing each other back and forth, it wasn't clear what it would cost for what we needed since we were given different quotes via phone and via e-mail. When she called me back, she was rude, talked over me and just dominated the whole conversation. Geez. I just wanted clarification, that's all. Kevin the owner is very unprofessional and customer service is not at the top of his priority list. When calling for test results Kevin spent more time telling me how my girlfriend must not of herd his employees correctly and how I was calling after hours (don't answer the phone then) rather then just give me the results I paid for. I recommend finding another company unless you want to be scolded on what your doing wrong. read more

We had a negative experience with this company and will not recommend it to anyone. Aadvanced Aair caused water damage in our crawl space by removing our furnace condensate pipe and leaving it on top of the plastic without our consent and without notifying us while installing a Radon Mitigation system. We finally began to notice a smell and discovered the water issue caused by their negligence. We contacted Aadvanced Aair immediately after discovering the issue and receiving a diagnosis and quote to remedy, but they were not willing to work with us to fix the water damage they caused. We were left to resolve the issue on our own. The company demonstrated poor quality and customer service from start to finish. read more

I recently purchased a house and the sellers chose Advanced Air as the radon abatement contractor. They installed a radon abatement system but did not do a follow-up test to be sure it was working properly. After I moved in, I called Advanced Air at (614) 766-2858 on June 11th and left a voice mail requesting that they contact me to set up the follow-up testing. I did not receive a call back, so on June 12th I emailed them at the email address on their web site, info@radonguy.com. Again no response. On June 14th, I asked my realtor to help, and he said he called Kevin Mullins, the owner of Advanced Air, and that Kevin would be calling me. I received a call from Kevin on June 15th (and a lot of excuses but no apology for not getting back to me sooner) and we scheduled the re-test to start on June 20th at 5:30pm. On June 20th, Kevin did not arrive for our scheduled appointment, but left a voice mail message stating he would be coming by at 6:30, which he did. We scheduled the test to end on Monday morning at 8:30am (June 25th) and Kevin said he would be at my house to pick up his equipment at that time. I told him that I work late on Monday evenings so I would not be available later in the day. On Monday June 25th, I stayed home waiting for him to arrive for our 8:30am appointment, until I was late for work, but he never showed. Late that afternoon, he called & left a message saying that he completely forgot about our appointment that morning (and again no apology). He then left 10-15 more messages over several hours telling me he had to come get the equipment. I got home late, as I told him I would, and planned to give him a call the next day. I took my dog for a walk, and had just started eating around 9:45pm when he was aggressively pounding on my door and jamming the doorbell and calling me while he was standing outside my door. I do not know this man well enough to know what he is going to do, and with that type of aggressive behavior, I was not going to open my door. He banged & rang & called for another 10-15 minutes. I haven't been this scared in my own house, ever. He finally left and I put his equipment out on the porch. He continued calling every 5 - 15 minutes until after 11pm. He came this morning at 7:30am and picked up the equipment from the porch, but is still calling me incessantly wanting more information, acting as if he did nothing wrong. read more
