I recently purchased some new trash cans, and I'm ridiculously excited about it! Honestly, I moved…read morehere a year and a half ago, and I've been wanting a nice set of stainless steel trash cans ever since. I finally made the purchase! It's funny how these little adult decisions become so exciting. The world is our oyster, we get to decide what color trash cans we want, what store we shop at, and how much we're willing to spend based on our budget. This is adulting, y'all! As for trash bags, Walgreens is my go-to because they're so affordable. Unfortunately, tonight my shopping trip got cut short because they were doing maintenance on the lights. The machinery was incredibly loud, and it started giving me a headache, so I couldn't browse every aisle like I usually do. That was definitely a bummer. I will say, though, I enjoyed checking out the alcohol prices. I'm currently putting together a mini bar cart for my room, and Walgreens has some really good prices on their mini bottles. I'm looking forward to comparing prices at Longs Drugs, Foodland, and Costco before I finish stocking it. I'll definitely be back, as always, Walgreens. Hopefully next time I'll have a better shopping experience!

I also completely forgot all the passport photo rules -- no earrings, hair pushed back and tucked behind your ears, no smiling... basically come in like you're taking a prison photo. Amber helped me and she was honestly so fun, like chatting with a girlfriend. We had a few laughs and she made the whole thing feel easy instead of awkward. I was greeted right away when I walked in, everything was explained clearly, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes I'd definitely recommend this Walgreens for passport photos. Really friendly, smooth experience -- just a heads up, it's cold inside, like stepping into a cooler Happy Traveling and SYOY! Deb B

I loved working with Long's for my pharmaceutical needs. There seems to be newer technicians, which…read moreis cool! However, today I called to confirm a dosage change with my medication and told the tech how my insurance said to run it. She put me on hold and came back on to tell me my insurance approved it and what the cost would be. I got a text saying my medication was ready. I sent my husband to pick it up, but when he came home, it was still the lower dosage. I went in person to talk face to face and the pharmacist said that the technician told her she confirmed with me the lower dosage over the phone. That was funny to me because I literally told the tech I was calling for a dosage change that needed to be rerun through my insurance in the process in which my insurance rep told me. Nevertheless, by law I couldn't return the medication which did make me a little frustrated. However, what really set me off is the technician NOT taking accountability. I walked off and told the pharmacist please tell her not to lie! I understand working for a corporate pharmacy may make you want to fib to keep your job, but I wish they could be a little more helpful. The pharmacist said "we could try rerun it but not sure if insurance would cover it." At that point, I didn't think I could trust this pharmacy to advocate and facilitate this process on my behalf since no accountability was taken. I recognize I have privilege to advocate for myself and to navigate this process to get the right medication, but what about the aunties and uncle and the kupuna who can't or may not know how? Unfortunately lying creates an equity gap, and in their line of work of HEALTH, it becomes crucial that they take accountability and do their best to care for their patients. My medication is not life or death, but what about the patients who rely on appropriate doses? I do recognize my husband picked up the wrong prescription and it could have been corrected on his part. However, I still stand by my review on accountability because there are a lot of individuals who have guardians or family members picking up prescriptions that may be trusting health professionals to do their job.

Living on Schofield and having the Schofield gas Shopette by the Gate is super convenient. Gas…read moreprice is usually the lowest around (Costco can sometimes be a bit cheaper) and folks are really good with pumping their fuel and not lingering while they go inside to pay or buy items from inside. What isn't convenient is half of their pumps have been closed down for nearly two months now. I've asked cashiers about it a few times and I've not been given the answer as to why they aren't functioning and when they anticipate them to be up and running. This causes regular and long backed up lines for fuel. Don't wait until the last minute for fuel, you'll be in a tough spot I'll also add for longer than that they only sell 87 grade fuel and diesel. They have free air and free water for your car, too. If the air is down Firestone (right there attached to the shopette) is really good about letting you use their air. Matching the opening hours of the gate, which the gate opens at 0500, would be extremely helpful. Their hours are below: Saturday 7AM-10PM Sunday 8AM-8PM Monday 6AM-10PM Tuesday 6AM-10PM Wednesday 6AM-10PM Thursday 6AM-9:57PM Friday 6AM-10PM It's for sure a good place for fuel, just give yourself some time for the lines. Having the free air and water is definitely a plus!

Easy to fill up, grab some snacks at the shopette and get on your way. Throughout my visits, I haven't noticed anyone checking ID's if you pay by credit card at the pump, but if you pay with cash inside the shopette, they'll check. It's a bit of a hassle to pay with cash by walking the distance if you have the kids in tow. I will never forget the day I was by myself pumping gas and I panicked when the pump wouldn't stop! It was so scary. I must have touched a lever on the pump that automatically distills gas into your car without handling it. Neat trick but I was freaking out..

Of course the spare is flat because it is stored under the bed of this truck. Looked at 3 different gas stations, none have air. Finally found this station. Need $1.50 in quarters for the air machine. I only have 5 quarters. Go into store of this station, ask if I can give them small change to exchange for a quarter. The two workers were counting their cash drawers and they don't even listen to what I am saying and say to me that they are closed. I repeat, all I need is change for a quarter. They just say we are closed. WTF! No Aloha at all, not even human beings. I was in disbelief. What the hell! Luckily, I dug through the interior of my truck and found another quarter. Got the air machine working and got the hell out of there, soaking wet from the rain since it took like 4 minutes in the rain to fill up my tire. No more Hele stations for me ever again! Ever!
