I recently purchased some new trash cans, and I'm ridiculously excited about it! Honestly, I moved here a year and a half ago, and I've been wanting a nice set of stainless steel trash cans ever since. I finally made the purchase! It's funny how these little adult decisions become so exciting. The world is our oyster, we get to decide what color trash cans we want, what store we shop at, and how much we're willing to spend based on our budget. This is adulting, y'all! As for trash bags, Walgreens is my go-to because they're so affordable. Unfortunately, tonight my shopping trip got cut short because they were doing maintenance on the lights. The machinery was incredibly loud, and it started giving me a headache, so I couldn't browse every aisle like I usually do. That was definitely a bummer. I will say, though, I enjoyed checking out the alcohol prices. I'm currently putting together a mini bar cart for my room, and Walgreens has some really good prices on their mini bottles. I'm looking forward to comparing prices at Longs Drugs, Foodland, and Costco before I finish stocking it. I'll definitely be back, as always, Walgreens. Went into the Walgreens in Wahiawa to update my passport photo and was reminded how wild it is what just a couple of years can change. I also completely forgot all the passport photo rules -- no earrings, hair pushed back and tucked behind your ears, no smiling... basically come in like you're taking a prison photo. Amber helped me and she was honestly so fun, like chatting with a girlfriend. We had a few laughs and she made the whole thing feel easy instead of awkward. I was greeted right away when I walked in, everything was explained clearly, and I was in and out in about 15 minutes I'd definitely recommend this Walgreens for passport photos. I came here to get my second Covid shot. I also came here for the first shot. Both times were the same procedure. The first time I had to fill out paperwork and the second time as well. I had no issues with the ladies giving me the vaccine. I like to shop around while I wait or after I finished my vaccine. This store was clean and had some sale items. So many items to choose from. I'm impressed with Walgreens! I never was a loyal customer. I randomly decided to sign up for the rewards card by downloading the app and coincidently the next week I was able to pick up free 10 4x6 photos. Nobody was at the photo counter but there was a button to call an associate over. Someone stopped by and let me know someone would be right with me just a couple minutes after pressing the button. I could have been out in a jiffy but decided to scope around. Tons of cool kids stuff, makeup was buy 1 get 1 50% off. You can also clip coupons in the app to save. read more

Walgreens is great if you need to get items for your home. You have the option to order online and have items shipped to the store for free if it's not in stock. There is also an app that you can upload coupons to save even more money. I recently went in this location to get some k-tape due to a wrist injury and I was disappointed that they would not price match to their own website. (Target does it and you can save a lot of money that way). So I didn't buy it, it was cheaper at Wally World so I went there to pick it up. With that being said, there are some awesome deals! I got some Scott toilet paper which was on sale $2/7, there was another extra $2 off if you entered your phone number plus there were extra $.50 coupons on the packs. I also got free Pantene shampoo and conditioners from their deals. If you plan ahead or search their app while instore, you can get some awesome bargains. They also have a point system that you can accumulate and save that way as well. This store is clean and the employees are pleasant. I only drop in for BOGO cosmetics. This spot so far is where I've found to be the cheapest in certain items. On occasion I'll find the online price better than in store. Unfortunately they won't match their own online price. Luckily ship to store is free, just takes some time. Although I can be a makeup snob at times, I've been buying more of certain drug store brand more often then not. I love me some MAC, Makeup Forever and Sephora... But I just cannot fully support the brand when they're still testing on animals! Save me some coins and the grief. Any who, as soon as I get the email of my order being ready, I just head to the photo area and show them my email. They've been good about opening the box to check all items are there. Parking has never been a problem. Employees don't really love being there but they do the job just fine. Until they stop carrying the beauty products I need, I'm sure to keep comin. The 5 star rating is for the pharmacy. We recently changed to Walgreens because it is more convenient for us versus going to Times Waimalu. I am always impressed with the excellent service of the cashier/pharmacist assistant. Her name started with a D. She is assisting multiple customers and running around doing pickups, drop offs and answering questions. The meds comes out fast because the pharmacist can concentrate on their job as "D" can do everything in the front. Awesome job! Don't lose her! She's an asset to the store. read more

I've visited Walgreens in Wahiawa to drop my fedex package. Unfortunately, they do not provide labels to send your package. The Manager, I spoke with her name is Mary does not have customer service skills, whatsoever, not customer service-oriented, no greetings, disgruntle, attitude, she just there to earned and get paid 8 hours of work. Lazy store associates. Called to make sure an item was available before placing online. I was told it was available. I put in the order at 9:37am and I got confirmation text my order was placed the moment I hit that place order button, and seconds later I get a text "order cancelled, out of stock." Was it enough time for the employee to look for the item, NO! I called the employee was like "oh yah, I know what your talking about because I cancelled the order, hold on..." I was on hold for more than 5 minutes so I hung up and called back. I spoke to a manager and she said they have the item and they'll put it on hold for me. Our car was towed from their lot despite us being paying customers. Turns out they have a contract with tow company to watch over the lot and swoop in as soon as you step foot off property. Tow company will tow even without request/complaint from the businesses as the Walgreens manager stated that she did not call to authorize tow. The parking signage is confusing. Be warned. Although it seems like one large shared lot, one side is Walgreens parking and the other is for Papa John's and the adjacent businesses. I bought a charger cord for an iPhone that was not cheap and also not Apple brand. Mistake! It worked 1 day. Ugh! We also needed to use bathroom but was more of a problem than it was worth. They need a better system. We went here twice during our stay but were very worried that we should not park there after we left to the tattoo parlor a couple doors down because we heard that the owner of the place actually keeps a close eye on parking and instead of telling people they need to move they wait until you leave and immediately call a tow truck. I did like that they sell things like seaweed snacks we wouldn't normally see where we come from. read more

Update: After reaching out to corporate I was told I would hear back from the DM within two business days. I didn't hear from the DM, instead I heard from another store manager, Max, at different location (Wahiawa store manager was on vacation). Long story short after some back and forth (trying to understand why Walgreens had seemingly set up a contract to allow this tow company the unilateral ability to tow a paying customer's vehicle from their property - TMK report shows Walgreens is the land owner) we seemingly came to the understanding that this possible contract should at least be reviewed by the DM and the Wahiawa store manager to avoid these types of situations. As a result they decided to reimburse me for the cost of the tow and said they'll review the contract once the store manager is back from their time off. I'm glad to hear Walgreens has some reasonable people like Max and the corporate office who can understand this isn't a logically fair way to treat customers or run a business. I can only hope they will review their contract with Response Parking Management and end their ability to tow people's vehicles at will or completely terminate their contract with that tow company. My opinion of Response Parking Management is they are very predatory and looking out for themselves for a quick tow and money vs what is best for the company they work for and the customers who visit. I won't know if any of this will happen. If Walgreens will review the contract, alter it, or terminate it. Hence the 3 stars instead of more. Idk if others will have to deal with Alex and his tow company at this location. The best I can do is say, if this happens to you contact Walgreens! For now I'll believe Walgreens is a decent company and this error simply happened because of some oversight and wasn't intentional as it seems Walgreens has taken steps to correct the issue. read more

See my photos. This is supposed to be a 24 hour Walgreens, now they have a sign posted saying that they will be closing midnight every day. I don't see how they can claim 24 hours still. Overall the staff here is nice and the store is clean overall. The pharmacy on the other hand is not so nice. Every time I have come in to get a prescription filled they've always had a problem. They question the dosage and they tell me that they can't believe the doctor wrote a prescription for this. It is rather unnerving! They do this for every single thing and when I ask them about the product they were not informative and we're very rude to me and my other family members. I don't go to this store unless it is utterly necessary. My pharmacy is Long's!! They have plenty of parking. I would not go there at night. I am buying something, nothing else and THEY DO NOT require any further information from me. Convenience stores, Supermarkets, Laundry.Dry Cleaners, EVERY STORE at Ala Moana, etc. don't ask for my zip code. It was a bold-faced lie that they needed it for the credit card. This is how other stores get hacked and your personal information given out. Alcohol? I have gray hair with white sideburns and a white goatee. I would not give them my proper age. I made up a date close to mine... few days, months, and years off. If I look under 50........ you need more intelligent employees. I was to receive nuts on sale, so I bought them. I was asked to donate to a charity! What? I'm there to buy something and NOT give to THEIR charity of choice. I have my own to provide to: One that will go nameless, though is a Children's hospital for children with Cancer. It will go nameless because "I don't push this on people... and neither should a store as you're paying for your purchase". Guilt trip anyone? Charity donations are personal and not for anyone to know about aside from yourself. Additionally... where's your tax deduction paperwork from Walgreens? That makes a gallon = $12. 11 ounces of nuts = $11.99. We paid $15.69 for a quart of milk and 11 ounces of nuts. NEVER AGAIN! Steer clear. Do not go here. If you want a discount, they require LOT'S of personal information that is NOT, and I say again, NOT required for a store's FREE card. Free? Only if you give the hackers every bit of personal information.... They want to track your purchases and send you useless junk in the postal. Then your information is sold to other companies for solicitation. Why do they need my phone number? Why was my personal e-mail requested? Just go to Tamura's up the street or Long's on California (one block up on the right), or support YOUR community stores and "GO LOCAL". Don't give your very hard earned money to a cooperate conglomerate from the mainland seeking to rip-off us Hawaiians. Walgreen's cares NOTHING about you.... you're just a $ to them. This Walgreens is located right at the beginning of Wahiawa town with lots of parking. I stopped by here, because we went to eat at Teddy's Burger located next door. I browsed hoping to find some interesting Christmas decorations, you'll never know? Didn't find anything that took my interest, in-fact didn't find anything at all that I wanted. He greeted me right away and came over to see if I needed anything. Then he was the my cashier when I checked out. I would give this location a million ZERO stars. My daughter ( 12 yrs old) and myself went to this location, spent over $100 for a last minute FEMALE EMERGENCY and could not even use the restroom. It was before 8 pm. Apparently, they lock the bathrooms which i totally understand for security but to refuse a child 12 yrs old to use the restroom for a female emergency is truly disgusting! The Cashier Don said no bathroom as my child is viably upset which they do have a bathroom and if your buying can use ! I asked for a manager as i"m paying to encounter the worst manager to date named Henry. I said low we have a female emergency can you please let her use the bathroom. He said" bathroom is locked , take your ass to Mcdonalds" as he pointed across the street! I am appalled , disturbed, and will never return to this location. No signs are posted about no bathroom ( because they have one) , no signs are posted about it closing at a certain time either. This post is to advise others. I love this location! Conveniently located in Wahiawa, they have everything you need, and more! On several occasions, I've seen several items that I wouldn't have expected to see there. I'm always lured by their sale advertisements (like any other customer), but seem to find other items (at reasonable, and sometimes unbeatable prices) once I get there. Maybe I'm just a sucker! Went to grab a snack at an establishment to bring to the beach and then was going to go to this Walgreens for ice and came back less than 5 minutes and car was being towed. Spoke with fellow locals and said that they have people looking and notifying the tow company of people's actions. Looks like an inside job to me. Would give the tow truck driver 5 star for towing a car in less than 5 minutes. Looks like Walgreens has Lost a customer for life. If I needed to pick up medicine, without a doubt I would stop by Walgreens! Butttttt, if it's for any adult beverage I wouldn't recommend this location. Their overall beverage selection is very minimal and a little over priced. But in desperation, they have the basics if needed. So basically I wouldn't come here for that sole purpose. Their customer service is very average, nothing stands out nor makes them horrible. They do what they need to do and that's all I can ask for right? I prefer going in the morning/noon because I've noticed that's when the nice employees are working. Every-time I go in the evening I always get "helped" or rung up by the meanest and most impatient employees. I shop here every week and spend a good hour in the store trying to figure out the best scenarios for couponing since Hawaii's Walgreens prices are much higher than advertised online or on the mainland (not an extreme couponer by any means, I just use their digital coupons available) I don't always mind paying the extra few bucks per item because it is higher in price but keep in mind they don't price match even though Walgreens policy is that upon request, they can price match online IF it's regular priced items but I still get rejected even with qualifying regular priced items. I'm not even an employee but I do my research before heading into the store especially with coupons and these employees don't seem to know their own policies. I understand coupons can be difficult and don't always work but as a former customer service employee, at least be nice about it. I can see your frowns behind your masks! Again, this is with the night crew. The morning crew is always smiling and so helpful. Photo/pick up: It's happened two times where I tried to pick something up and they told me they didn't have it. I walk back to my car and think no they must have it because I got the email that it was ready. So I go back to the store and ask again, low and behold, there it is! Not sure if it's because they are lazy to look for it but it's annoying having to come back more than once for something that was literally right there. Parking is good, it's pretty clean, I would say well stocked, but I just don't know how to feel about this place. Some employees are amazing and helpful meanwhile there are some who shouldn't be working in customer service if they are just going to roll eyes all day. This is a direct criticism of Walgreens and their consistently inaccurate website which wastes the consumer's time. Tried to order some items via the ap and it said items were available. I jump in the car to go pick it up (yes, out of my way) and lo & behold - NADA. Nothing. No mo'. As others have mentioned, Walgreens is located at the beginning of Wahiawa across the street from McDonalds. The parking lot is fairly large but it does seem to share parking with Teddy's Burgers and Papa Johns. I've never had an issue with parking though. The store is set up in the typical Walgreens fashion. It's clean for the most part but on occasion it seems like they hadn't stocked up in a while. I've never had trouble looking for what I need. No aloha.... The first time I came here I would have given it one star and ranted about the lack of customer service. BUT I don't yelp when mad (most of the time) so I abstained. My experiences haven't been much better though since then. There are usually long lines at the registers here.... Even though the store isn't very crowded. Also... I know it sounds trivial.... But the white wine is not cold. I obviously don't usually chug wine right when I leave!! Haha BUT cafe olive is next door and is BYOB! And warm wine doesn't taste very good.... This time, going to pick up photos, I had to wait about 5 minutes for someone to come to the counter. When she came she was NOT happy I was there. Geesh! At least day hi or something! I always thought Walgreen's was expensive but they've proved me wrong. There is always a good sale with or without coupons. Plus you can sign up for their rewards card to earn points that rack up easily and quickly. I especially love their photo department. After my dog passed, at the last minute I thought about getting a mural for parents. Not only was the mural beautiful, it was cheap and ready in a few hours. Their kiosks make things easy and the staff are extremely helpful. Their pharmacy is the best! First you sign up for their emails and they will offer you a $25 gift card to switch over a prescription. Once you use the pharmacy, you can sign up for their prescription program which gives you great discounts. For my dog's medicine, I saved an average of $20 for each Of his $100+ pills. You can also sign up for automatic refills which can be amended at anytime when you login to your account. This is my go to store for a variety of items when I don't want to bother with going to a grocery store or Walmart. read more
