Love that you can make an appointment to get your flu shot and newest Covid shot by using the CVS app. They offer other vaccines too. Like the idea that you can choose which pharmacy location and time to receive your shots. You even get a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase. Once you arrive check in at the pharmacy counter. I arrived early and there were 4 people ahead of me. I booked 3 shots but the RSV one was cancelled since I'm not 75 years old. That's new cuz last year I got it. They call your name then you enter a little blocked off enclosure for privacy with two chairs in there. Cory asked me which arm or one in each arm? I chose both in my left side. I asked is this the one you massage or don't touch it. Answer: don't touch it but don't baby your arm and move it around. He was good at administering both shots. Hardly felt it at all. Thanks Cory at CVS Mililani Mauka. All Pau

One cashier was most rude person I've encountered in my memory. She should not be interfacing with customers.

This Longs Drugs is located in the Mililani Town Center and the other Longs Drugs is located in Mililani Mauka. Open 24/7, this place offers a great selection of candies, household goods, in addition to various medical supplies/medications. An Access Medical clinic is located inside in the back near the pharmacy. Previously this was the only pharmacy located in Mililani, however once they opened the Mauka location we have at least two now. Be aware the prices on some goods maybe higher, especially when compared to Walmart. But they do have sales and if you have a CVS account, you may get coupons sent to you in your email. This in addition to the standard coupon you get on the ridiculously long cvs receipt you get at checkout lol.

She also showed me that there was a Sakura flavored KitKat! Shopping around Longs Drugs at three in the morning for random things was not in the agenda for the start of my day off, but I really needed dog food and this 24 hour location came in clutch. We found a lot of random things that we needed or I guess thought we needed for the household. The main thing was dog food that we just didn't have at home. Secondly, we found two lunchables for the price of five dollars. We're adults now so we can buy things we couldn't as kids. We were also really excited to find cookies and cream flavored fat boy ice cream. And if you have ever tried the dairy gold chocolate milk, you know that is top-tier!

They've got great holiday items right now to splurge on so buyer beware and don't spend all your money at once! All in all, I was really grateful Walmart was still open when we went. I just wish they stayed open a little longer for us late-night shoppers! Also, they have the most charming mural at the front entrance.

It's funny how these little adult decisions become so exciting. The world is our oyster, we get to decide what color trash cans we want, what store we shop at, and how much we're willing to spend based on our budget. This is adulting, y'all! As for trash bags, Walgreens is my go-to because they're so affordable. Unfortunately, tonight my shopping trip got cut short because they were doing maintenance on the lights. The machinery was incredibly loud, and it started giving me a headache, so I couldn't browse every aisle like I usually do. That was definitely a bummer. I will say, though, I enjoyed checking out the alcohol prices. I'm currently putting together a mini bar cart for my room, and Walgreens has some really good prices on their mini bottles. I'm looking forward to comparing prices at Longs Drugs, Foodland, and Costco before I finish stocking it. I'll definitely be back, as always, Walgreens. Hopefully next time I'll have a better shopping experience!

Granted I could choose to not be a member, but that shouldn't be the option. The model should "value" members like myself who choose to renew year-after-year, increased-fees after increased-fees. Because let's face it, Costco still holds value regardless of the POOR experiences I've encountered from the Pharmacy at Costco Ka Uka. I'll preface by saying customer service trumps mistakes any day, HANDS DOWN because humility goes a long way. Period. I have enough years under my belt with age and jobs to know what good customer service is vs. BAD customer service. Although the Golden Rule is more commonly known, The Platinum Rule is the NEW STANDARD, which for those who are unaware is "Treat Others How THEY Expect To Be Treated." It shifts the focus from what YOU want to what THEY want. It is now a selfless model vs. the selfish model when you look intrinsically into its meaning. Sorry for such a long intro, but it's necessary to hopefully get my point across. Today I picked up my monthly medication, and was subjected to be taken to the consultation window to have ALL my meds re-counted in front of me. Totally unnecessary since not all of my meds have been short in the past. ONLY ONE SPECIFIC MED HAS BEEN SHORTED ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS!!! But if this is what it takes for the Pharmacy Dept. to finally get it right, so be it. You must be wondering why? Last month my 2x/day med was short 30 pills. THIRTY PILLS! How do I know? I refill my five weekly pill boxes with all my meds which always should equal four full boxes and one with two days. Simple math. Noooooo, this specific med was short. But because this wasn't even the first time this happened (about six or seven times, seriously, same med ALL THE TIME) I was informed to come back to verify the count. wtf When I finally was able to return, inconveniently since I plan ahead when I need to visit Costco, there was talk under the tech's "breath" when she called the pharmacist over. "He's the one..." which I heard because they didn't say it soft enough. smh He basically said, "our inventory is correct, so you are wrong." Keep in mind, this wasn't a narcotic, but a prescribed pill which I need 2x/day per my doctor. I was outraged because he was basically telling me we're right, you're wrong. I really couldn't believe it. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM COSTCO AND ITS PHARMACY. Talk about having no sympathy, empathy, and humility since I explained how I'm short 30 pills. Okay so since I still NEEDED my meds, they counted the remaining 30 in front of me, but informed me they would be counting this med in person each time I pick up in the future (but not ALL my meds). I agreed because again, if that's what it takes so be it. He even tried to justify that it was triple-counted and initials on the bottle "DC" show it was double-counted, BUT I'M TELLING YOU IT WAS SHORT 30, NOT 1 OR 2, THIRTY!!!!!! Being insulted, I went to the front, explained to a manager on duty, which she said she would talk to the Pharmacy Manager. Keep in mind, no follow-up ever happened, no pharmacist or manager ever reached out to me from then until today. So instead of trying to talk to a manager again, here I am sharing with you my awful experience. Good luck and stay safe!

However, today I called to confirm a dosage change with my medication and told the tech how my insurance said to run it. She put me on hold and came back on to tell me my insurance approved it and what the cost would be. I got a text saying my medication was ready. I sent my husband to pick it up, but when he came home, it was still the lower dosage. I went in person to talk face to face and the pharmacist said that the technician told her she confirmed with me the lower dosage over the phone. That was funny to me because I literally told the tech I was calling for a dosage change that needed to be rerun through my insurance in the process in which my insurance rep told me. Nevertheless, by law I couldn't return the medication which did make me a little frustrated. However, what really set me off is the technician NOT taking accountability. I walked off and told the pharmacist please tell her not to lie! I understand working for a corporate pharmacy may make you want to fib to keep your job, but I wish they could be a little more helpful. The pharmacist said "we could try rerun it but not sure if insurance would cover it." At that point, I didn't think I could trust this pharmacy to advocate and facilitate this process on my behalf since no accountability was taken. I recognize I have privilege to advocate for myself and to navigate this process to get the right medication, but what about the aunties and uncle and the kupuna who can't or may not know how? Unfortunately lying creates an equity gap, and in their line of work of HEALTH, it becomes crucial that they take accountability and do their best to care for their patients. My medication is not life or death, but what about the patients who rely on appropriate doses? I do recognize my husband picked up the wrong prescription and it could have been corrected on his part. However, I still stand by my review on accountability because there are a lot of individuals who have guardians or family members picking up prescriptions that may be trusting health professionals to do their job.
