I needed my serpentine belt replaced, and I also had a screw with a broken head that needed to be removed and replaced. While I was there, I asked if they could take a look at my tire because I was hearing a noise. Turns out, it was a wheel bearing. He even went out of his way to send me a picture of the damaged part so I could see exactly what was wrong. Do NOT go to this place!!! Took a CVT transmission there for rebuild. Julian Gomez (owner) quoted…read more$1900.00 for rebuild to include new torque converter. Get transmission back 4 days later, get it installed, drive about 50 miles and it once again won't shift. Had the vehicle towed to Transmissions Only. Call Julian for him to say that I ( as the consumer) needed to replace the solenoids in the valve body...Those solenoids that are inside the transmission, which he should have checked and replaced. He refused to honor the warranty, refused to give us the keys to the vehicle until we signed a statement he had prepared stating it was our fault the transmission wasn't working. Our fault that he didn't check and replace the solenoids??? He did offer to fix the transmission correctly for an additional $1500.00 Complaints have been filed with Better Business Bureau and Bureau of Automotive Repair. Bureau of Automotive Repair did an investigation, concluded that Transmissions Only is at fault, that they needed to refund the $1900.00 to which they are refusing to do. Meanwhile the transmission is being completely rebuilt,( complete with a new valve body), for $1000.00. It is a shame that this shop took horrible advantage of a single mom with 6 kids to support!

I initially discussed a charge of approximately $2,400 for removing my transmission, cleaning it, diagnosing the problem, and reinstalling it. I was told that an estimate for parts could not be provided until the transmission was inspected. After the inspection, I was given a parts estimate of more than $3,000, bringing the total projected cost close to $7,000. I told Rick that I could not afford that amount and instructed him to put my transmission back in the vehicle because I intended to take it somewhere else. I also requested an invoice and a copy of the estimate. Instead, I received a payment link for approximately $2,600. I did not agree to or authorize that amount. I reminded Rick that the amount we had discussed was approximately $2,400, and he subsequently mentioned a $500 first-time-customer discount. When I went to pick up my vehicle, a confrontation occurred with an AAMCO representative. During the confrontation, I was pushed against the door of my vehicle multiple times. I repeatedly said, "Get off of me. Don't touch me." I raised my right forearm to create distance between us. I told him that I intended to report the incident. I recorded video immediately afterward showing the representative walking away. The business gate was also closed while I was there. I asked the responding Redlands police officer multiple times whether I was being detained and was told that I was not. I repeatedly requested that the gate be opened so I could leave and it wasn't. A supervisor eventually responded and reviewed the available video. AMR also responded and evaluated me at the scene. Following the incident, I experienced tightness on the left side of my body, extending from the base of my neck toward my left elbow. My concerns are not simply about the cost of the repair. I am extremely disappointed by how the billing dispute and, more importantly, the confrontation were handled. My advice to anyone considering this location: get every price and authorization in writing, carefully review any charges before paying, keep copies of all estimates and communications, and document your experience if a dispute occurs.

Horrible customer service. I bought a used tire for $60, and it went flat almost immediately. After…read moreleaving the shop, the tire popped and I had to call AAA to tow my car back. The owner first claimed I didn't even buy the tire there, even though I had been there just an hour earlier. I also noticed they never checked the tire for leaks before installing it. They simply plugged it and the tire was old, the leak came from the side of the tire they plugged an hole that was on the side of the tire and put it on my car. The very next day, the tire was flat again. When I went back, they refused to replace it or give me a refund. I would not recommend buying used tires or getting mechanical work done here based on my experience.
