Food is good but the prices are very high. Service is good. Ambiance is okay. I'd love to find another good Indian restaurant in the area with reasonable prices.

This place was recommended to me so finally tried it. The owner gave some suggestions on what to order and they didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious, good spot for some Indian food

I have passed this restaurant many many times on the way to my In-Laws house in TR, and have been wanting to try it for ages. This past Friday 4/8, hubby and I finally went for our date night dinner, and we were not disappointed!! First, the staff is so warm and welcoming, water right away to the table and nice little basket of bread with the usual sauces to taste. We both ordered the Mango Lassi, which was refreshing and delicious. We order 3 appetizers, the Veggie Samosas, Aloo Chaat and Tawa Murgh, all three were very tasty and definitely got our taste buds excited for our entrees. For our entrees I ordered the Rogan Josh, which was very nice, the lamb was tender and seasonings/spice was perfect. Hubby ordered the Murgh Tikka Lazziz, he really enjoyed this dish. Although the dishes each came with traditional rice, we also ordered the garlic rice, which we both really preferred, and the Aamantran bread basket, which for us was a fantastic idea of trying new breads, Naan, Roti, Onion & Garlic Kulcha. There was quite a bit of food so we obviously couldnt eat it all, and neither of us had room for dessert, and it was nice to have leftovers for my lunch the next day. I have read some of the other reviews and I can't say that I had a bad exerience here, I eat quite a bit of Indian food and I have had both exceptional and down right horrendous experiences. Aamantran is nice small family owned restaurant with a menu that anyone can find something they will like, again, staff was super friendly and made our evening our enjoyable and the food was very good. We will be back.

The parking situation was little challenging as street parking is available but limited or you can park a few blocks away near the tennis courts closer by school. There are also some paid parking lots closer by. The restaurant is located upstairs so you need to take elevator. They have ala carte and buffet options, but buffet is only available on specific days. As you enter the restaurant, the lobby area was well designed thoughtfully and very welcoming. As you enter the restaurant, the main dining area has nice vibrant colors all over the place and it is beautifully decorated. The staff greeted us and gave us a booth table alongside the windows where you can watch the downtown. The menu is great and we had good collection for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. We ordered appetizers as tandoori chicken, cauliflower 65, aloo tiki chaat. Then, for main course, we ordered garlic naan, egg fried rice and methi matar paneer. The food came at very good pace with the restaurant had five other tables occupied. Gobi 65 - it was more towards saucy than dry side like most of us would have expected, but it still tasted good. Tandoori Chicken- was cooked perfect and tender and presented great. Aaloo tikki chaat is probably the best of the appetizers. Presentation and taste was fantastic. The extra filling of malai or paneer was little overdo but was tasty. For maindishes, methi Matar paneer was good and we ordered it as spicy. The overall taste was excellent but we felt the spice as after taste that is the only issue. Garlic naan was made fresh and tasted perfect. Star of the show was egg fried rice and well seasoned and right mix of veggies and egg. The rice was cooked to perfection. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The price is on the higher side but the ambiance, location and food makes it a place not to miss.

My husband and I absolutely love the sandwiches. Everything was so good. I left feeling so stuffed. You get a lot of food for your money. Most importantly, the customer service is 10 out of 10. They greet you when you come in the cashier and waitress was excellent and she listened to details. Even after you're leaving, they tell you, thank you as well. You don't get a lot of companies that will do that nowadays. Last, the ambience is amazing. The chairs are so comfortable and the tables look amazing! It's toddler friendly and they even have high chairs. Super clean. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Again, this is really not the place to order traditional Indian food. The beauty lies in the modern, creative dishes and flavors. In fact, if you want to order a traditional dish, the owner will likely not let you!! But letting him guide my journey was the best choice because we had some exciting flavors that are unlike anything else you will try. My favorites were the bhel puri with guacamole (so good with some papadum to dip) and the malai kofta tacos. They were absolute flavor perfection and so unique. The ambience is super casual but the owner will treat you like it is a Michelin star dining experience! He brought out lots of fun (free) snacks in between the courses. Given this, I would prepare for at least 2 hours for the full dine in experience. Again, not what you would expect from an Indian spot in a strip mall but it was such an unexpected delight. Overall it was an excellent culinary experience but make sure you reset your expectations if you are looking for quick, traditional Indian cuisine. They also don't use seed oil and use pure tallow as fat if that is your thing. PS it's BYOB so make a nice night out of it!

They also have a sign that says "Guy Fieri ate here" which is very cool! Would absolutely order from here again and I can't wait to try the more unique fusion options next.
