White sauce is bad taste only like mayo

Customer service was horrible. Got order wrong left out items and payed almost 40 for my order. Gyro was wrapped once in foil and leaked all over , supposed to be double wrapped. The white sauce taste only of mayo, big disappointment. The babaguanish I'm Probably butchering the word , was so so bad I never tasted anything so bad really the aftertaste it left was baaaad. Needless to say I will be going back to ROYAL grill.

Mind you I despise eating Greek as we travel into NYC 5 boroughs and have eaten at some incredible Greek establishments. The restaurant decor is clean and styled as if you are in Greece. Very light and pleasant. Service was excellent and I ordered the large Greek salad to split with wife, Gyro platter for myself and wife ordered Avgolemono soup. Salad came very fast, romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, feta and olives which were above average and pepperoncini peppers. Salad was a solid 9! In season tomatoes would've clearly brought up to a 10. Gyro platter was served with fries, rice or potatoes which I chose and simply delicious. Also came with a small bed of salad and tzatziki sauce. An unbelievable portion size and quality another solid 9. Serving size I would give an 11! Wife's soup was also delicious and between half a salad and cup of soup, she couldn't finish and had to take home. A wonderful dining experience and this will be on our lists of stops. A true gem and the staff made you feel welcome and wanted! Can't wait to go back!!

I had a cappuccino and we shared this delicious dessert of custard whipped on a phyllo base with pistachio on top. Perfect ending to our meal.

Another place we've passed countless times and never went in, until today…read more We were a bit concerned when walking in and the place was empty at 4pm on a Saturday. But looking at the fixins bar (Chipotle-esque), everything appeared fresh and clean so we chalked it up to a lull in business and freezing weather. I opted for a gyro bowl, my wife got a bowl with falafel. The lady at the counter really didn't speak English well at all, it took a few tries to get our order in. Once it was in she did tell us to sit and she'd bring it to us. As we sat we looked around, the place is cool. Decorated nice with a few tables. Lots of evil eyes all over. The food came out, nice and hot, good sized servings. We were pleasantly surprised as our expectations were low. For our taste they went a bit too aggressive with the feta and red onions. Otherwise all good. Looking forward to returning.

We came here about an hour prior to closing. We ordered the following: Trio of spreads, which came with Santorini hummus, spicy feta, tzatziki and 2 sliced pitas. Hubs thought that the 3 spreads were all similar and tasted the same. If anything, they should've made the texture all different. Overall, there was nothing outstanding about it. Beef and lamb platter, which was served with fries, pita, tzatziki, tomatoes, red onions and parsley. We thought this order was big and we couldn't believe that this was only for one person. The 3 of us couldn't finish it. Hubs thought that the salad was nice and clean and the fries were good while hot. We thought that the meat was a little dry. Thank goodness, there was plenty of tzatziki to dip the meat. Lemon potatoes- this was very salty and difficult to eat. Chicken and rice soup- we didn't like this. The soup was very salty. Hubs thought that the chicken was from the gyro or shawarma and that it was obviously added on to the soup base. He doesn't recommend this soup. Sriracha garlic parm wings- this was the best item of the night. The wings were nice and meaty, the exterior was nice and crunchy. The inside was nice and juicy and it was a nice order, overall. You have a choice of either 6 or 10 wings and we chose 6. Service was friendly and quick. They answer all our questions, but I doubt that we will be returning.

The meal came with two juicy chicken kebabs, fresh grilled vegetables, warm pita bread, a crisp side salad, four different dipping sauces, and I added an order of crispy fries. Every single bite was flavorful, tender, and cooked perfectly. The chicken was incredibly juicy with just the right amount of seasoning, and you could tell everything was made fresh to order. This is hands down the only gyro place I'll go to in New Jersey. Every visit has been consistently amazing. The food is always fresh, the flavors never disappoint, and the quality is top-notch. The owner is welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the music is great, and the colorful décor makes the whole dining experience even better. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to add a lunch menu with smaller portions for people who don't want such a large meal. But honestly, that's a very minor thing and doesn't take away from the experience. This is easily both lunch and dinner because the portions are generous. I genuinely can't find anything to complain about. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful grilled Mediterranean food, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended.

I had the chicken platter and it was gigantic, with piles of chicken gyro, three cups of sauces of my choosing (tzatziki was the standout but I also loved the spicy cheese sauce and the garlic sauce, though it wasn't skordalia), shredded lettuce, thinly sliced tomato, cubes of feta, cooked onion and peppers, several slices of soft seasoned pita, and a cup of seasoned french fries. Cost: $22. Enormous and filling. I devoured just about all of it and couldn't eat again for 12 hours. My wife had the vegan platter and, as expected (since it was $3 more than the chicken), it was heaps of food (she ordered lemon potatoes on the side, and got that PLUS a cup of unexpected fries). She couldn't finish it. Everything was delicious and the table service was friendly. It took a little while for the food to come, but that wasn't a big deal - we figured it was just being prepared to order. I only wish I'd had room for dessert. Nutella baklava sounds fantastic, as does baklava cheesecake. Next time!

The delicious part, however, is more of a gamble. The service was solid though. The Chipotle Power Ball was a clear winner: fresh, flavorful, and genuinely satisfying. It's the kind of dish that makes you feel good about what you're eating without sacrificing taste. The American Burger was the opposite experience. Based on the name, I expected a beef patty. While the menu didn't explicitly say "beef," the naming definitely implied it, so I was surprised when a chicken burger arrived instead. Unfortunately, it didn't just miss the mark on expectation, it was bland and uninspired on its own. The sweet fries were fine, but most of the other items I tried landed in that same middle ground: okay, but nothing special. If you're prioritizing health and quality ingredients over bold, crave-worthy flavor, this is a solid option. Just know that not every dish will deliver on taste, so it helps to stick with the safer bets or manage your expectations accordingly. Healthy? Absolutely. Consistently delicious? That's where it gets tricky.
