My review is based on my experience with your company and I didn't feel like you wanted to work with me on my project based to the reasons I listed. Which is why I gave you the 3 star review initially. Yes, you might work on all different types of projects but I wouldn't know because I didn't get passed step 1. Yes you offered to do a make up appointment, but I had to contact you first to even find out you were out of town and couldn't make the appointment we agreed upon. I would still be stuck in limbo if I didn't text you. I could easily accept all this as a missed opportunity , but instead of trying to win my business back, you decided to throw a shot at me by replying with this quote of projection: "Projection refers to unconsciously taking unwanted emotions or traits you don't like about yourself and attributing them to someone else." Thanks the quote. This really shows the type of person you are and how you would treat people if they ever had a disagreement with you. I'll be sure to pass my experience on to others looking for contractors for fencing. The oddly built fence that came with my house was simply getting supremely old and falling apart. It was also built with 2x12 boards. Who does that? Anyway, it was finally time to replace that ridiculously shabby fence. I asked multiple companies to come out to give estimates but when Paul arrived, he impressed me with the obvious knowledge and experience he had dealing with fences. He immediately got my business. Dealing with him through out the process was simply... easy. From choosing the color stain to asking for different building materials, I felt taken care of. The build itself was fantastic. Just had a pretty large fence done, and couldn't be happier with it. It's an all-black fence with a 10 foot gate and another smaller side gate. Paul was very responsive and came out to give me a quote. He was one of the few fence contractors that offers to stain the fence as well. Most others would simply install it and leave the staining to you. Not only did Paul's crew stain the fence, they did it offsite so all sides of the lumber are coated. Overall this company was easiest to deal with, had a competitive price to replace an old wood fence with a vinyl one. My request for an estimate was provided promptly and sent to me by email. The diagram showing the work to be done was comprehensive but the hand writing was hard to read. AANCO appears to be a professional operation, they should go more digital and have clearer documents. However nobody else provided follow up and diagrams like AANCO. Many estimates seemed like a verbal contract without documents. Barrett Southwest Fence was in second place but in their contract they wanted 50% up front and said they were not responsible for damage to other items like my sprinkler system. Forget that! AANCO was deducted one star for giving me a short notice that they were going to be behind schedule. If you need a new fence or one repaired I would recommend them. read more

I selected Paul and Aanco Fence company because he came up with suggestions that no one else did to solve my fence problems. I have a neighbor who was paying nothing toward the cost of the fence, but was complaining about everything. He found a way to move my fence line in just enough to eliminate any of her complaints. His suggestions made my fence line straighter and gave me more privacy and security. There were a lot of problems to solve because the fence was not straight and it dropped down three levels. When they took fence boards off of the old fence, it was discovered that between our two retaining walls there was a gap on the neighbors side that allowed all the dirt to flow down hill from my yard on to hers. No problem for Aanco; they just built a "retaining wall" out of mud boards. They bolted onto solid walls and added boards up and filled it in. Please see the pictures because it was so cleaver and made something that could have been a real problem for me easy. They seamlessly tied my wood fence into the chain link fence that protects the top level where my pool is and attached that to the fence that was put in by a handyman in an emergency during the pandemic. If you look at the picture with the chainlink fence you will see the beautiful wood boards that Aanco put in next to the poor quality wood the handyman used. The wood they use is Japanese cedar and it is beautiful. They slopped the fence down two levels and it looks perfect. The mud boards at the bottom of the fence make all the difference. No dogs or skunks digging under, and no cranky neighbors seeing into my patio now. Paul and Eric and two other workers were on time, worked really fast and this complicated job was done in two days. They are the Zen Masters of fences. I have lived here for 28 years and had a lot of work done on my house and yard. I found Aanco fence after attempting to work with some of the bigger name fencing companies you might see commercials for on TV. Half of the companies I talked to either seemed disinterested in the work due to the smaller size of my job or simply never sent an estimate and went silent. That being said, I knew Aanco was a great company from the start after speaking with Paul and receiving an estimate that was so detail oriented that it blew everyone else out of the water. Paul worked with me on figuring out exactly what I wanted and went above and beyond helping me select stain colors and ornamental latches for my redwood/cedar lattice topped fence. While Aanco was on the high end of the estimates I received, after seeing the quality of their work I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a fence. Aanco's crew showed up on time everyday and left my yard just as clean as when they arrived. These guys are not professional, IMO, because they refuse to deal with common issues surrounding fence installation. AANCO Fence recently installed two gates and a small amount of fencing at my home. The owner of the company, Paul, was prompt in arriving at my home for our initial appointment, and was very courteous and professional. He was able to provide me a bid that he honored from start to finish, and his team was available to do the job within a week. The gates and fences turned out great. They look nice and work well, and they seem very sturdy. Time will tell, as they have many years ahead of them, but upon my inspection and use thus far, all seems solid. The price for the gates/fences was very competitive/fair, and the entire job only took two days to complete. The only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars is that the crew told me they would be done around 5pm on the second day, so I scheduled another contractor to arrive for a different job at 6pm. They weren't even close to finished, so when the contractor showed up, the fence guys were in the way. It was a pain to deal with. Overall, I am happy with the product and satisfied by the customer service. I would call on Paul and AANCO again in the future when I need more work on my fences. read more

It was in text form and I told him in needed to be more formal as I was splitting the cost with my neighbor, an absent landlord and a text would not do. I had to remind him to send it after a few days. After receiving it I told him I found his company through an ad in Home Concepts Magazine which mentions a 10% discount up to $500.00. He told be that all discounts were already applied. Big turn off. They should at least be smart enough to put a discount line on their quotes. Needless to say Aanco did not get my business. Today comes, made a call at 4:40 since no one had yet to show, no answer from the company and I stuck around until 5 and still no one showed or called to reschedule. Super workmanship, super customer service, great communication. Paul and his assistants tore down our old fence on a steep slope and rebuilt about 110 feet plus a new gate in two days, and did an excellent job. They did more than just "get the job done;" they were happy to fix a couple of details about the way the fence looked (for example, where another neighbor's fence left a metal post facing our property at an odd angle, they figured out how to cover it up). When I noticed a board had split after they finished, plus a gap I wasn't comfortable with at the bottom of the gate, they came back soon (about a week later) and fixed everything. Paul also was extremely patient and amiable throughout several months of delays due to complications I had dealing with an absentee property owner for my neighbor's side. I had some other bids and I think Aanco was quite reasonable. When it's time to do my fence on the other side, I'll certainly be calling Aanco. read more

They did job quick, but did not do it very carefully. As a result, every single hole they dig for the pose broke my sprinkle pipe. Half of these sprinkles are off ground, so it is very obvious the pine line is around. I gave them a call and they said they should not be responsible for broken pipe, but they sometimes do help for the customers. So It took them a month to come to fix one spot I reported. Couple weeks later, another broken spot showed up at different location. I asked them to come again, they fixed that one. Then I found three more afterwards. Due to their slow actions, I have to hire gardener to fix these three due to HOA complained the dead grass. However, I am still not sure if there are no more broken spots unless I re-pipe it. It is most painful house job I have ever deal with. read more

On a fairly steep slope. 4 of them came out and gave me an estimate. 3 of them gave me a written estimate (only way I will do business). Aanco had the best price by $20 or so, but asked all the right questions up front. Top rail? Pets? etc. This made me believe they would be more thorough on the job too. Paul gave me a start date within 2 weeks, came on Monday morning, finished on Tuesday afternoon. And didn't leave a mess, yay! I would recommend Aanco Fence to everyone. read more
