The concern began at the front desk with a new receptionist whose demeanor significantly changed the tone of the visit. My interactions felt tense and rushed--she spoke over me at times and did not seem fully engaged in listening. The lack of courtesy and patience was unexpected, particularly in a healthcare setting where respectful and calm communication is important. In addition, my cleaning felt noticeably brief compared to past visits. This left me questioning whether the appointment was as thorough as it had been previously, especially given the out-of-pocket cost. The front desk plays an important role in setting the tone for the patient experience, and unfortunately, this visit did not reflect the standard of care I have come to expect from this office over the years. What was once a welcoming and professional environment felt more impersonal on this occasion. I value this practice and hope this feedback is taken constructively. She tells mixed stories, sometimes it's that you need a full set of xrays every year and then others its every three years. Sometimes you need an exam every visit others just once a year. The bottom line is that they only care about getting the big bucks. How can you take a dental office seriously when they add in BOTOX treatment!!!! They off this at local beauty salons. I avoided the dentist for more than a decade, so you can imagine the embarrassment and anxiety I felt when I was finally forced to make an appointment due to a dental emergency; not to mention the condition of my teeth. Dr. Mele made sure that I have a comfortable, pain-free experience, that I am well informed regarding my treatment plan and that I understand that I am a part of the treatment decision process. Dr Mele is an extremely caring person and a meticulous professional. She holds herself to very high standards for the care she provides. I highly recommend Dr. Mele especially to those who are scared of the dentist or feel hopeless about their current situation. As for the office, the front desk staff worked with me to transfer my dental records, despite resistance from my previous dental office. I like the fact that this office understands that 8-5 folks need evening and weekend hours, so I was able to get an appointment without a disruption to my workday. I recently had my bonds upgraded to veneers on six of my teeth, and the process went very smooth. Dr. Schultz took me in as soon as the veneers came in from the lab (literally called me 30 mins after they arrived!) to switch from my temporaries to the permanents because she knew I had a family party that weekend. Now all my crowns and bridge is worn down and has holes because it wasn't cemented correctly. Now I have at least $15,000 worth of dental work to be done. I called the office and left a vm explaining what happened. I used to be a dental assistant. You have to check the bite to make sure it's not hitting other teeth and dental work so this doesn't happen. I never got a call back and now I'm stuck with a big expense.

I just moved into the area and having to switch to new doctors always made me felt nervous, especially when I am due with my baby at any moment and having to go through a whole new dental procedure. First of all, her dental office was extremely clean and all the equipments were new and updated. She and her staff spent about an hour examining my teeth and that made me felt like they really care about their patients. I also wasn't aware that the first visit usually only consists of "check-ups" and patients needed to schedule a follow-up appointment for routine cleaning - but after communicating my situation with Dr. Luna (with a baby due any moment), she squeezed me into her busy schedule today so I can have my teeth examined and cleaned before my due date. On top of that, she was more thoughtful and careful that I was that she recommended putting all the other procedures (such as X-rays and etc.) postpartum and double made-sure that my teeth would have no problem in the next six months before I come back to see her again. I am really glad that I picked Dr. Luma as my new dentist. I felt very comfortable and taken cared of as a patient here. Thank you, doctor!
