All I can say is that I have given this doctor many, many chances. Thought she is a personably woman, she has no sense of professionalism, nor does her staff. She is rather arrogant and full of herself. Makes comments like "I'm good" and goes on and on about her personal issues, stops in your room while she's taking care of everyone else in the other rooms and acts exhausted and tells you so and what a busy day it is. I don't care! I want my work done at my scheduled time and not have to sit around while shes taking care of multiple patients. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE SITTING IN THERE FOR A FEW HOURS!!! MY TIME IS VALUABLE TOO. Sure it's a nice office BUT YOU ARE PAYING OUT OF THE NOSE FOR HER SERVICES. She tells mixed stories, sometimes it's that you need a full set of xrays every year and then others its every three years. Sometimes you need an exam every visit others just once a year. The bottom line is that they only care about getting the big bucks. How can you take a dental office seriously when they add in BOTOX treatment!!!! They off this at local beauty salons. They make you feel like you have an issue and not them. I'm a reasonable and intelligent person. I don't need to be treated like an idiot. They should look at the whole picture and not be so arrogant.. They have nothing to be arrogant about. read more

Her dental hygienists are great at what they do as well. Both Patti and Nadia have cleaned my teeth in the past and I would highly recommend both of them. Great staff. I have been going to Dr. Laskaris and her team for years. I chipped my front tooth and after getting my aligners off, I asked Dr. Laskaris if she could file it down with how much it made me feel self conscious. Dr laskaris is a great dentist but her billing department is terrible. I have been double charged and over charged here. Nit only that I got new insurance in Jan n she was a preferred provider then, but in Feb she dropped my insurance and never told me. Therefore my bills were sky high. She would not work out a payment plan with me, she just sent my bill to collection. I do not recommend her for this reason. read more

I looked for an in network dentist and this office had high stars. I needed a very (minor) cavity filled between two molars... Should have taken 45 minutes to an hour TOPS. 3 1/2 hours later they finally finish...Very unprofessional Laskaris just skips around rooms talking to customers for too prolonged periods of time. I sat in the dentist chair for 50 minutes before the hygienist even came in... To top it all off...I am going back in today because now I have pain in my tooth where there was absolutely nothing wrong with it before. Niki is a great dentist she knows her stuff and is very gentile....BUT as others have mentioned you need to set aside a whole day for a basic procedure because she hops around room to room and handles too many patients at once. Not very professional or respectful of people's time. Also her front office staff is not the friendliest and have no clue on how to bill insurance or patients properly. Even the simplest procedures don't seem to go smooth and result in many unnecessary statements, phone calls, and just plain headaches. Bottom line, not bad dental care but with so many better options out there I'd be inclined to advise against this one. read more

My family, including my husband and I and our two small children, recently became clients of Dr. Laskaris based upon a friend's recommendation. And I am SO glad we did. First-things-first: her office is in Park Ridge, about two blocks outside of Chicago city limits. I live in Logan Square and work in downtown Chicago, so I am used to the drama involved with trying to get anywhere in this city: uber-expensive parking decks (or allowing an extra 1/2 hour to circle a block looking for street parking); packed waiting rooms; hurried staff; and the usual weeks-long waiting-list for an appointment for anything. All of those things are non-issues here. When I called to schedule my first appointment, they gave me an appointment within the same week. I drove through the city on Northwest Highway, passing all of the credit-card parking boxes in Edison Park. A few short blocks later, I crossed into Park Ridge, turned on Washington Street and pulled up in front of the office. I was *shocked* to see old-style parking meters that take nickels, dimes and quarters. NICKELS people! Holy Smokes, I thought I was in a time warp. Turns out, I was just *not* in the city. Anyway, after the initial shock of discovering that I could park at the front door for a couple of hours for about $0.50, I walked up the stairs and entered a most-beautiful dental office. Not over the top, but really clean, light, serene and modern. No two-year-old magazines in this waiting room. Not that I would care, because I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a scheduled appointment. The hygienists are top-notch, they really know their stuff and they take the time needed to explain how and why you should do everything. Super gentle, and super laid-back. There are flat-screen TVs mounted near the ceiling in every room, so you can watch your favorite cable channel while getting your checkup, cleaning, fillings, whatever. Dr. Laskaris herself is very skilled ... she replaced four very old silver fillings that were causing me problems with brand new tooth-colored fillings that are nearly invisible. They looked so good, I had her replace a few more on my next visit. BONUS! Dr. Laskaris also is licensed to administer Botox, so I got the forehead taken care of at the same time as my filings. Again, a great job that took about 10 minutes. Both of my kids (3 years old and 4 years old) had their very first dentist appointments with Dr. Laskaris, and it couldn't have gone better. Both of them ask when they can go see the dentist again. So, success all around. I love going to this non-Chicago, super nice, really skilled dentist and her staff. read more

Dr. Laskaris made me feel very comfortable and very professional.. She took the time to explain my treatment plan and answered all my questions and made sure that I understood what I needed.. Be ready to wait! They are always behind schedule! Overall, I will admit that she is a good dentist, but guess what, there are plenty dentists out there that are just as good, if not better! I would definitely agree with the person who stated that you do end up waiting a long time and while you're in the chair waiting you will hear personal conversations taking place with Laskaris and the patient...VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! NOW, I will start with my complaint... I had a porcelin veneer put on with Dr. Laskaris and within the first year, it fell off. I was livid. Not only did I pay out of pocket for this veneer ($1,000) but she also received funding through my insurance. When I went back to her to have it cemented back on, I waited a while because as always, they are behind schedule. Granted, I did not have an appointment, but this is something that should not even happen so when it does, not only is it it an inconvenience to me but I have to wait to be seen on top of it...ridiculous! So she put it back on and told me if this happens again I will replace it. So....yesterday, I'm on my lunch break from work, plop on over to jimmy john's and get a turkey sandwich...anyone who has eaten at jimmy johns knows how soft their bread is so its not like you can blame what I'm about to say on eating something hard... Needless to say, I took a few bites, literally 3, and my veneer came out...AGAIN! I called the office to let them know what happpend and that I'm on my way, the receptionist told me I'd be waiting...I then reiterated, I was at work and went to lunch and 10 minutes into my break, my tooth fell out, so I'm coming now!!!! I get there and of course am waiting 30 minutes because you know, my time isn't valuable or anything!! Now let's forward to the end of my visit...2 hours later... I say thanks and good bye to the receptionist and as I'm about to turn the door handle and exit the office she says, "Ummmm, actually it's going to be $50" I was absolutely appalled! I said, excuse me?!?! For what? She (receptionist) says, ummm, for putting it back on. I said, well I've been here at least 2 or 3 times (I really don't recall how many times it fell out...I'm thinking this was the 3rd time) for the same thing and this is something that should not be happening to begin with, so how are you charging me for something that should not be happening to begin with?!!?! She says well the Doc gave you a discount, it was supposed to be $86 and she's only charging you $50. I said, again this should not be happeing to begin with... The receptionist says ok well I'm just doing my job, I can go ask the Doc if you want me to double check, I say yes please do. She goes and comes back and says Yeah, the doc says it's going to be $50. No point in arguing anymore right?! I paid the $50 and I was extremely upset. First of all, how are you going to charge me for something that should not even happen to begin with?! Second of all, CLEARLY this veneer is defected AND/OR you, DR. LASKARIS, put it on wrong. Either of which is not my problem! The fact of the matter here is IT IS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE PRINCIPLE!!! First off, I have been a patient of yours for years...maybe close to 10! Second, my mother, sisters, cousins come to you! Third, THIS IS YOUR ERROR!!!! And yet, you have the nerve to charge me?!?! Because my $50 wil make you that much richer huh?!?! Lets not forget to mention that you said you will replace the veneer if it were to fall out again...well here we are, it fell out again but you also realized that I no longer have insurance during my visit there yesterday, so now your thoughts about replacing it have changed?! Now I see, you were not going to replace it for free, you were planning on billing the insurance and receive payment through them for what ever you can bill them for. I SEE HOW IT WORKS! I KNOW YOU WILL EVENTUALLY HEAR ABOUT THIS AND COME READ IT, WHICH REALLY I HOPE YOU DO BECAUSE YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INTO YOUR OFFICE AGAIN!!! Dr. Laskaris is definitely one of the better dentists out there. She has been my dentist for over a decade, and will continue to be, as long as she remains in the field. At one point, for some reason, my insurance was not accepted here--so I was forced to see another dentist in my network. The dentist that I seen was no where near as welcoming or as pleasant as Niki and her staff are. The other dentist seemed rushed, anxious, and would take in a heavy breath every time I would ask a question--it was extremely uncomfortable. I think that if you gave Niki a chance, you would not be disappointed. In regards to nerves / anxieties / worries: They will be there--regardless of what dentist you choose. But If you need someone who will not force, scare, or make you feel uncomfortable--Dr. Laskaris is an excellent choice. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Laskaris for years. I followed her from her old practice, and she has been providing the same amazing care ever since. Not only is she wonderful at what she does, but she's very personable. She's a lot like a small-town dentist would be...caring and sincere. She has taken the time to get to know me and remembers to ask about important things such as when my mom had knee surgery. It means a lot to me because she takes the time to know her patients. Who can really say that about their dentists nowadays? I've never had to wait longer than 30 minutes for a last minute appointment time. Even on their busiest days, she manages to get me in as promptly as possible. They have flexible hours, as well. They open on days that they usually close the office during winter vacation and spring vacation, which is great when I try to get my kids in when they're home from school. They also have late hours (up to 7 PM on certain days, I believe) incase the only time people have available is after work gets off at 5 PM. Not only is Dr. Laskaris a Godsend, but her dental hygienists are also angels. They're so sweet and are really gentle during their cleanings. My niece is 4 and is always so excited to get her teeth cleaned there. And to top it all off, the office is also absolutely gorgeous! The staff is also very helpful. There's (reasonable) meter parking in the front and a parking lot in the back. I can't imagine a better dental care! read more

I had a really tough time finding a good new dentist, and lucked out when a family member recommended Dr. Laskaris. She and her team are great. She really cares about you as her patient, and wants the best for you and your teeth. Dr. Laskaris and Nadia, the dental hygienist, both have a gentle touch and are very patient with me and my stubborn tongue. I've had two cleanings so far and a few cavities filled. I'm pretty sure another dentist would have told me a couple crowns were needed, but Dr. Laskaris was able to fix me right up with some impressive fillings. As a couple people have mentioned, you may have to wait to be seen, or it may take more time than you expect to get your procedure done. However, this is not uncommon in any dental office, or doctor's office for that matter. Dentists overbook because patients cancel all the time, and I'd rather have Dr. Laskaris take her time to make sure everything looks/feels right, then be rushed out the door. The fees charged are very fair, so it won't empty your wallet. In conclusion, if you are looking for an excellent, highly professional, and caring dentist, look no further than Dr. Laskaris. read more

I started coming to Dr. Laskaris's office in 2012 shortly after having my braces taken off. My orthodontist referred me to her for bonding. She became my primary dentist until 2013 when I moved to the city and started going to a new dentist who, I believe, only made my teeth worse. After receiving horrible fillings and a crown at the city dentist, I decided my teeth were nothing to mess around with and to never settle for anything less than exceptional so I returned to Dr. Laskaris. I am so happy to be back and notice significant difference in how this office cares for my teeth compared to any other dentist I have been to. The cleanings are very thorough, the staff are extremely friendly and personable, and they go above and beyond their expectations. Today, I got a fix on the filling the last place messed up and fix on a chipped bonding from 2012. Even after nearly finished fixing the chipped tooth, Dr. Laskaris went back to fix a small imperfection she wasn't satisfied with as opposed to just accepting it as is. I also mentioned how my retainer hasn't fit right since I got my crown on 7 months ago from the city dentist, and they corrected that for me AND cleaned the retainer! We love her! She also provided my daughter with 2 crowns on her front teeth..which was rather traumatic for her. She was still able to get my daughter to smile and laugh. Having worked in the dental field for over 25 years and experiencing numerous dental practices, I must say how thoroughly impressed I was with this office. From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a pleasant atmosphere. The office is very clean and designed tastefully. Even my husband quickly noticed that it lacked the typical dental office aroma. Our first observations made us feel at ease unlike most dental offices commonly do. We were scheduled for new patient hygiene visits. We were seen right on time. Which is rare in this industry. Our hygienist Patty was made aware that my husband was on his lunch and had time constraints. She made sure that he received the same quality care she provides to others but in a timely manner. Patty has a great chairside manner, she was both gentle and thorough, all the while educating my husband about improving his hygiene at home without making him feel badly. When Dr. Laskaris came in to perform the exam, she was engaging and she gave you the feeling that you had known her for a long time. She explained everything as she went through the process and left us with no questions at the end. All in all, from beginning to end, I would rate this practice, and those who work there, better than the five stars we are allowed here on Yelp. We will make this our family dentist and I will be recommending them to all of my friends and relatives. No matter how good they think they have it at their current dentist, I can absolutely say that it can only get better with Dr. Laskaris. And again, I base this on my experience in this field which includes working as front office staff, as a dental assistant, office manager, marketing director, and owner of a practice at one point.
