You know how everything tends to go wrong on the weekend and in the evening long after businesses…read morehave closed???? Yeah that! Sunday night, 9pm non less my son screams Oh S***!!! And I run downstairs to find my basement flooded with water pouring in from my cement wall. I called ASAP left a message on their voicemail and got a call back within minutes. I explained my emergency and Kevin, the owner, personally came out that night to help me get things assessed and water turned off in places to prevent further damage and coordinated with his crew to be out in the next 48 hours to fix everything. I thought it would be thousands of dollars given the off hours and emergency nature of my issue but no the entire job was less than $1000. Shocked the hell out of me. These guys are truly honest. In my fire state they could have just charged me anything and I would have paid it. But they figured out the issue which wasn't as huge as I'd feared it would be and charged based on the time, part costs, and the job itself. I feel insanely lucky and am happy to shout from the rooftops that this company should be in everyone's address book and the first call if they have any plumbing issues. I'm beyond grateful to all of them for their help and quick and exceptional work and beyond that their honesty in their pricing. Thank you guys!!!! Highest recommend ever!!!!!

I've been a Scott Hale customer for many years now. They've done many jobs for me and they also…read morereplaced my water heater, furnace and AC unit when they conked out. The old furnace went out the day before Thanksgiving one year, and they had a new one installed and running the same day. I appreciate the employees who have provided good service over the years. In the beginning I referred friends to SH, saying they are not necessarily cheap but they do good work. (Looking back, I realize however that I overpaid for the new water heater and other some other major expenses, I was just naïve and didn't do due diligence. More about overcharging below.) That being said, I've given up on SH. Too often my encounters with its employees go wrong. The person they send may or may not have experience with my issue, and they never ask for help from other employes. One recommended I have a new air intake installed (he came twice and couldn't get rid of the awful noise) and when I finally got a different guy over, he fixed the whistling noise just by recaulking the area; it was gone in minutes. Another guy made excuses for the (unsupervised) people who ripped up large patches of drywall because they didn't know to go through an interior wall; SH paid for the extra drywall repairs, which I appreciated. Another guy freaked out about the "sewage" he imagined must be under the board beneath my sink (there was none). Another couldn't tolerate me saying that I had never had a leaky condensation pipe until they replaced the AC. My 10+ years in my home meant nothing, and this is consistent: many times the repairmen will not give credence to anything I say, and however neutrally I state it, react as if I'm challenging them in some way. The latest incident is the $1800 estimate for replacing my kitchen sink (labor only). The guy said it would take 2-3 hours to remove the old sink (!!) and added that he would "cap the pipes" so I wouldn't lose water to the rest of house. I mean, there's upselling and then there's just BS. The plumber I hired removed the old sink in 20 mins and is charging a few hundred dollars for the whole job (including installing the new one). And of course the water to the house didn't have to be shut off, there are valves right under the sink. I'm really appalled they would just...lie.

Our tech was Donovan Romo. He was on time in the given time window, knew his craft well and fixed our emergency water leak in a timely fashion. We liked the fact that you get 3 quotes, and we went with new parts, as our house is 20 years old. Price quoted for the work that was done, was fair and even discounted a bit. I would rate Scott Hale Plumbing as a top shelf business, where you get equal top shelf service. Also, Donovan was a great tech. Thank you... Matt H
