Initially the buying process at Aaron Chevrolet went well. I met with saleswoman, Nury Juarez, took a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado LTD for a test drive, liked it, and agreed to buy it for the list price of $32, 795.00. It was while they were running my credit that I was told by Sales Manager Guillermo Flores, that the vehicle was a Lemon Law Buyback. Concerned, I asked a few questions as to what the issue was that led to it being bought back. Sales Manager Flores said the original owner had complained had complained that the engine "stuttered" and the engine was eventually replaced. I felt no stutter during the test drive and a new engine sounded good to me. Luckily, my credit is pretty good so I got a fair rate and we moved forward. Against my better judgement I was talked into adding the Compass Platinum warranty. However, I just sent in a letter to Aaron Chevrolet requesting the warranty be cancelled. Per the contract, and California law, the warranty can be cancelled at any time during its term. Also, if the warranty is cancelled within 60-days of the vehicle purchase a full refund must occur. I directed that the refund be applied to the outstanding financed balance. Unfortunately, I was informed during the contract signing that two "optional" items were already on the vehicle and that I would need to pay for them: a Xzilon Ceramic Paint Coating and a KARR Theft Deterrent Device. $1,295.00 each for a total of $2,590.00. This made me pretty angry, but I'd already been there for several hours by now and just wanted to get the deal done. HOWEVER, IF TWO OPTIONAL ITEMS ARE NOT OPTIONAL AND THE BUYER WILL BE CHARGED FOR THEM, THAN THE COST SHOULD BE REFLECTED IN THE SALES PRICE. The truck should have been listed as $35, 385.00 not $32,795.00. A couple of days later I am washing the truck when I found large globs of a glue like substance all over the roof, sun roof, and bed rails. They were rock hard and had apparently been there for months, if not years. Having detailed cars I know that when applying a ceramic coat you need to thoroughly wash the vehicle and make sure even the smallest particulates and contamination are removed. Otherwise the ceramic coat will not adhere to the surface. I then began to apply a sealant and could feel that there was absolutely no ceramic, wax, or any other surface protectant on the paint. I took out the sale paperwork and saw that no Xzilon ceramic coating had been applied tor the vehicle. A Xzilon TouchScreen+ Glass Modifier had apparently been installed. Come on. I sent Aaron Chevrolet a letter demanding that the $2,590.00 for the "ceramic coat" and the KARR theft deterrent device be refunded and applied to the truck's financed balance. So, this review can certainly improve. If Aaron Chevrolet acts quickly to cancel the Compass warranty and refund the money I paid for the mythical ceramic coating and the KARR device, and apply those funds to the financed balance, I will HAPPILY add a positive addendum for their prompt and conscientious corrective actions. If not, I plan to invoke my right to seek relief through arbitration. read more

We spent about two hours at the dealership, test-drove a truck, and worked through the numbers with our sales representative and store manager Ely Gutierrez. Everything was going smoothly until the final details. When I asked Ely if the vehicle would be detailed and fully gassed up, he offered to put in a mere $25 worth of gas. On a $43,000 purchase, refusing to provide a full tank of gas as a standard courtesy felt completely unreasonable. When I mentioned that every other dealership I've bought from has always filled the tank as a thank-you, Ely refused to budge, repeating that $25 was his limit. The exact VIN was listed in the promotion of the vehicle (listed on their website) we wanted to purchase and the expiration date of the promotion was more than 2 weeks away. After spending a couple hours there, the sales manager said that this promotion was no longer available because their website wasn't up to date with General Motors promotions. Probably had to do with the fact that we declined the windshield protection, the paint protection, and the other extended warranties they want to sell you on for ridiculous prices. This dealership advertised a 2022 Ram 3500 Laramie (white, VIN 3C63R3JL4NG235069) for $62,900. I agreed to purchase the truck at the full asking price -- no haggling, no negotiations -- because I didn't want any extras like paint protection. After all the paperwork was completed, they suddenly told me that a "paint coat protection" had already been applied, and demanded an additional $1,200. This was never disclosed up front and was only mentioned after I had committed to the deal. It is clear that they list this truck at that price to generate sales traffic, but the real price is higher once they add hidden charges. This is false advertising and a bait-and-switch tactic. It is also extremely unprofessional to change the deal after paperwork is signed. Aaron is a dishonest car dealer. Be very cautious -- avoid at all costs. read more

Following that email, I received a call from management staff member, Rick Livingston, assuring me that they would take care of this issue. He told me that I would receive a call from Marvin Rojas who was contacting GM Financial on my behalf and if not, I should call Mr. Livingston back. I waited a week and NEVER received a call from Mr. Rojas. In the meantime, I had numerous calls with GM Financial who stated that no one from the dealer had called them. GM finally agreed to remove the charge from the bill after over a month of my calls and my submission of evidence proving that I returned the charging cable to Aaron Chevrolet on the date we returned the vehicle to them. On the day the charge was removed from my bill, I called and left a message for Rick L. to inform him that the charge was removed due to my efforts and that neither GM or myself ever heard from Marvin Rojas!! The following day after 6PM, Marvin Rojas contacted me to say that when he contacted GM they told him the charge was removed and and that's why he had not called me. ANOTHER LIE FROM MARVIN ROJAS. (He only contacted me after Mr. Livingston gave him that info!) He should have contacted me - PERIOD - He then told me he was sending me a $100 gas card to make up for the issues!! Good thing I'm not holding my breath for that - it's been over 2 weeks and surprise, surprise- NO GAS CARD!! When people show you who they are, believe them!! As I was handling the transaction with the sales rep, he frequently had to get up and go run items by his manager. Over the years I have found this to be common practice. My issue was that at no time did the manager come over to introduce themselves. They didn't welcome me, thank me for my business, or congratulate me for my purchase.. We have purchased numerous cars here over the years. Last one was purchased last Friday 2/27/26. My husband knew exactly what he wanted, had a trade with all the required information and took NINE HOURS for this purchase! We wanted to help our daughter get a car the following day (Saturday) and the salesman STILL has not called us back and it's been six days. The "go between person " between the salesman and sales manager / Finance was beyond rude! Once they get your money, they have zero customer service cares! They were supposed to call me back on Saturday regarding the vehicle we purchased because they were going to run it through the credit union, lower interest rate and lower payment, we ALL want that right, well, you guessed it, no phone call. We have called them, they've emailed us (instead of calling). When we call back they don't answer, we leave messages and still no call. There are plenty of dealerships that would love your business, clearly this dealership isn't one of them! Next step will be DMV Investigations Division, it's all finance fraud. In the past, I would have highly recommended this dealership, but now my recommendation is to stay clear and go south about 15 miles, you'll be glad you did. read more

At this point my truck was in limp mode but it was able to run from point a to point b very slowly at the very least. ... a neighbor recommended a local mechanic but unfortunately that was not a good decision. My truck now no longer ran and if it was able to run-- it would immediately shut its self off because now the security system no longer recognize my key fob nor allowed me to move my vehicle. Yayy now I was taking on towing charges in order to transport my truck.... To explain my frustration with the local mechanic he continuously pushed back the time frame, never providing me updates, and after taking my money --- that same mechanic left me with "yea I think it's best you take it to the dealership at this point I'm not to sure what's wrong with it ..." I was at such a loss with my truck out of commission for weeks & with me having a horse, this was devastating to say the very least. *****Now this is where the incredible team over at Arron Chevrolet come in..... I was blown away by the services rendered: scheduling my appointment was quick & easy, coordinating my towing was so efficient with the front desk, once my truck was diagnosed - Mario called me with an update immediately ! & I was FINALLY provided actual answers! And with guidance from Mario we found the part(s) needed and where available, once final approval was given / a few business days later my truck was returned to me, better than ever before. IT WAS FINALLY RUNNING! I was even provided a shuttle service when picking up my vehicle, felt so dang fancy!! Any time I was needed to wait in the lobby I was offered coffee and the whole experience was just night and day. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I strongly advise caution when considering this dealership. My family and I purchased a car that failed to start the day after we brought it home. When we reported the issue, we were told the battery would be replaced for $250, but later learned the car still would not start, and the cause was unknown. They kept telling us that we are replacing the battery for you as if it were our fault the car didn't start. The dealership then offered us a new, lower-quality vehicle at a higher monthly payment, which we declined. After unwinding the deal, we experienced repeated delays in receiving our down payment refund. We ultimately had to contact the general manager to resolve the issue. For those that hate long reviews, the short story is that I had an issue with a used car I purchased at this dealership. I figured it would be a longshot to get any sort of compensation. But, they wouldn't even discuss it with me. 5 calls. 5 promises to have a manager call me back. And, I still have not been able to talk to one. Now...the long story. 3 years later I tried this dealership again. And, it's even worse than the last time. I ended up buying a used vehicle from them back in May. It was relatively late at night. By the time I signed the contract, it was dark out and they couldn't fully detail the car or fill it up. They said to bring it back when I have a chance and they'd take care of it. 4 days later, I did and was turned away because I didn't have an appt. even though I let my salesperson know I would be bringing it in on that day. Anyhow, I schedule an appt with the service department and they detail the car 2 days later. But, didn't fill up the tank. Since I picked it up late in the day and really didn't want to schedule another trip, I let it go. After about a week or two I started noticing the brakes sounded like they were grinding. But, was too busy with work to take it in. Then 2 weeks ago the car died. I had it towed to a dealership close to me but not the one I purchased it at. This dealership did an inspection and found the alternator and battery were done. They fixed that through the manufacturer warranty. But, they also noticed the rear brakes were locking up. They determined it was the brake pads. They also noticed the pads had a lot of wear left in them and suggested I contact the dealership I purchased it from. I contact Aaron Chevrolet and spoke to the receptionist and let her know my issue and she said she would let the sales manager know and they'd give me a call back. After 3 hours, I call again. I spoke to another lady and she said the same thing. Manager would call me back. After another 3 hours, I call again. Receptionist again said someone would call me back. But, because of the time, it would most likely be the next day. The next day arrives and no call. So, I call again around 11:30am. Forced the receptionist to get a manager on the phone and he said he would pull my file and call me back in 10-20 minutes. An hour later, and I hadn't received that call. So, I call again and speak to a sales rep. He tells me that Marvin couldn't get my file because the service department was closed. He said Marvin would call me on Monday when the service department re-opened. It's now Thursday. I received no call. read more
