I gave them my insurance information a month before my appointment…read more When I arrived they asked for my insurance information (which they already had in their computer). They also tried to upsell me on fluoride treatment. When I asked if it was covered on my insurance, the hygienist went to check and found out that it wasn't. You would think they would also know that all the other services were not covered as well ! 2 months later I get a bill from them. It turns out that they don't take my insurance!

With Dr. Fox's help the cavities (10!) have been dealt with in the least intrusive, most effective way possible. I have a pretty shy, sensitive child and he never anguishes about going to the dentist. Through spacers, fillings, and even a fitted cap, he has experienced excellent care. He feels confident and trusts the staff and Dr. Fox. Everyone has been so lovely--from the front desk staff to the hygienists. I wouldn't think about changing dentists.

Now, I've ran into these no prescribed medications dentists twice before where the first instance was a low cost, county subsidized, no insurance type dentist. I had no insurance when I worked very briefly at a crappy job, and this is who the county recommended. Now I may look like a tall, big, strong man, but I am not pain resistant. In this particular "dentist" case, he seemed like his last job was at a prison. At another major dental provider with many offices around town that does take insurance, you had to ask him if he was in trouble with the state and not authorized to prescribe. I'm a senior with bad gums so I've had extractions starting with wisdom teeth at 19 then the gum problems that started at 45. You're in pain and traumatized, it shouldn't be a negotiation. But this clinic, I thought, was allegedly a topflight, insurance only type of office. I went to a different dentist office later for more pulls and the pain meds were automatically prescribed without asking. Sorry, Advantage. You've lost a customer forever and I would never recommend them if anything painful like a tooth extraction was necessary. For just cleanings and checkups, they seem okay.

I usually…read morehave a huge amount of anxiety at the dentist, but as soon as I met the hygienist, Cindi, I felt so calm. She was so personable, and hilarious but still super efficient and knowledgeable about her job. I felt like she related to me on a person-to-person level and made me feel comfortable instantly. I let her know I usually have issues with a very touchy gag reflex at the dentist, and she let me know right away that she would take special care to prevent that from happening. I didn't gag once! That's a first for me. My dentist was Jared Houghton and he was also very friendly and warm, and made the more uncomfortable parts of my visit fly by quickly. All in all, I got there assuming the visit would be as unpleasant as most people find dentist visits to be, and left feeling surprised how easy the whole thing was, how quickly I was scheduled for all my follow up care when I expected to have to wait several weeks to get started, and most of all I left there feeling that I was treated like a person, and not a patient.

I do not even know where to begin to describe how great each and every visit has been. From my experience, generally the first visits to any office might be good but service tends to take the downward slide at some point. I am at four years later and they are still surprising me with the consistent level of outstanding service. Dr Ibsies is absolutely amazing and the staff is all wonderful and so very kind. I have been to many dental offices in my 28 years of life and I will never go anywhere else again. I have always been extremely nervous to go to the dentist as my past experiences were negative and painful. Since I started going to Smile Linn Dental I do not get uneasy or nervous, I actually look forward to my appointments! Somehow the Dr and staff have made going to the dentist into a positive experience and they really do take the time to do a great job each visit. I feel welcome and like I belong there, it is a really nice feeling. I cannot forget to mention the most important part! Dr Ibsies has fixed all of my dental issues caused by past dentists and has worked with me to get a great plan in a way that I can afford to reverse all of my previous dental issues. My teeth are finally where they need to be and I could not be more grateful. No more pain, no more fillings falling out ... finally a pretty smile that I can feel great about. If you like not being just another number on the list then you will love it there. I promise they will not disappoint :) Oh, and they have TVs on the ceiling with Netflix ... WHAT?!

I DO NOT reccomend Dischinger anymore -- this is coming from having 2 kids who went to him and…read moreswitching for my 3rd. Last year his office merged with Dr Sessions bc Sessions is retiring so Dischinger office is twice as busy accommodating all of Sessions patients too-- it is impossible to get appt times before or after school, he has a 3rd orthodontist who sees many of his patients instead of him for check ups (which wasn't approved or discussed with me before this started happening), and he only uses "Spark" aligners bc he is paid by that company to push that product. There are also like 10 patient chairs in the 1 treatment area they have, practically on top of each other with no division between the chairs...so you have no privacy when you are getting treatment, and you hear everyone else's personal health information and treatments, which made me very uncomfortable. The docs hop from chair to chair and spend as little time as possible with patients, it's run like an assembly line. It's a shame bc I like the support staff that work there, but the office has gone really down hill in the last year since the merger.
