When I wrote the name down it was at the end after my eyes were dilated. Then the technician Claudia was outstanding, very patient and gentle when positioning you at each machine. Also, would explain in detail what was going to happen and what you needed to do each time. Totally making sure that I was comfortable and understood what the test was for. Once I was placed into the examination room waiting for Dr. Liu, which took a little while, but worth the wait. I have had eye surgery on my left, now my right eye has to be done. I'm just thankful he will be performing the second surgery as well, because he is awesome. I was feeling some anxiety, but Dr. Liu makes you feel at ease. We discussed why I was back there, and he started my exam letting the Scribe Joshua know what he was seeing and what he needed to do. Joshua would ask Dr. Liu every now and then to repeat what he said, so that he was accurate in what he was transcribing. There was a scribe in training whose name was Lindsey and Joshua was explaining in detail exactly what he was doing. I will always recommend Sacramento Eye Consultants, they are outstanding!!!!!

From the moment we met her, Dr. Weissenberg was warm, friendly, patient, and genuinely attentive. The eye exam was very thorough, and she took the time to clearly explain my granddaughter's vision, what she was seeing during the exam, and the different options available to her. She discussed both glasses and contact lenses in a way that was easy to understand and never made us feel rushed. My granddaughter was especially interested in trying contacts, and I really appreciated the amount of time and personal attention Dr. Weissenberg gave her. She carefully explained the different contact lens options and provided extensive hands-on help teaching her how to insert and remove them properly. Rather than having us immediately order one particular brand, she sent my granddaughter home with two different types of lenses to try so she could determine which was the most comfortable and easiest for her to wear before making a decision. I thought that was an excellent approach and such a thoughtful service. It certainly makes more sense than ordering contacts first and then discovering they are uncomfortable or difficult to wear. What stood out most was the combination of professionalism, patience, and genuine care. It felt like Dr. Weissenberg wanted to make sure my granddaughter was comfortable, informed, and confident with her choice rather than simply rushing through an appointment. (Even though they are still advertising it) My son needed surgery for a degenerative eye disease so this delay was harmful and then after the fact I was told I was canceled due to insurance costs when I would have paid cash if I was given the opportunity!!!

The staff, from the time I arrived to choosing a new frame, to seeing the ophthalmologist were all friendly and professional and Dr Maboudi was wonderful. The office is on the second level inside a Sutter Medical building. There weren't a lot of patients that day, it was pleasantly quiet. I went to multiple Doctors for my pain and discomfort. I felt like they either blew me off, or just didn't really know what to do. I was desperate. I was finally referred to Dr. Lee. He took me seriously. He said he believed me. Which was such a relief in itself. Just for someone to believe me when I told him how much pain I was in and how long the pain was going on for. Less than two hours before the…read moreappointment, I got contacted by the office stating Dr. Hines cancelled because he was no longer taking appointments after a certain time (late afternoons). I am updating my review approximately nine months after LASIK. I appreciate that Dr. Hines continued to see me before August 13th and was waiting for my vision to stabilize before making further decisions. At my last appointment, he acknowledged that he was not perfect and does make mistakes, which I respected. However, both eyes remain blurry. I continue to experience fluctuating vision, ghosting, starbursts, reduced contrast, headaches, and occasional sudden, sharp pain in or behind my eyes. My visual problems have largely been attributed to alleged clogged meibomian glands, despite following maintenance instructions. While I understand these issues can affect vision, I still have unanswered questions. My vision remains blurry, and it was actually at its best and most consistent during a period when I was not using a heat mask or eye drops. I was prescribed Xdemvy, and my vision worsened during/after using samples and has never returned to what it was beforehand. I was not shown the clinical evidence supporting the need for this medication, and I had never previously been diagnosed with blepharitis by another doctor. Honestly, the heat mask resolved dryness and irritation, although my vision didn't improve or stabilize. I would like to understand the objective findings that supported that diagnosis and treatment. I am asking for the cause of my ongoing symptoms to be objectively investigated rather than primarily attributed to my glands. At the last appointment, they wanted to test me for macular degeneration! It had been under a year since I had been tested and thought that was really reaching. Just to be clear, I have always had healthy eyes. I've never had any abnormalities and had 20/15 vision in my 30s. I would specifically like to know whether my higher-order aberrations have been measured and to see my wavefront results and pre- and post-LASIK corneal topography/tomography. I would also like to know whether residual or irregular astigmatism, coma, spherical aberration, or treatment-zone issues have been evaluated as possible causes of my blurred vision, ghosting, starbursts, and reduced contrast. I would also like to see the objective findings supporting any diagnosis of blepharitis/meibomian gland dysfunction and the decision to prescribe Xdemvy. I was also disappointed when my most recent appointment was cancelled by the office only two hours before I was scheduled to be seen. Given the cancellation and the ongoing problems I am experiencing, I would appreciate the office making an effort to accommodate me for a replacement appointment rather than requiring me to rearrange my work schedule. I appreciate the continued follow-up. I am not asking my doctor to be perfect. I am asking for clear answers supported by objective testing, and for the office to follow through in helping me resolve these issues.
