After more than 20 years of dealing with glaucoma and seeing multiple eye doctors, I can honestly say that Eagle Eye Care has been one of the most impressive medical offices I have ever visited. In the past, I have experienced long waits, been forgotten in waiting rooms for hours, and even struggled for weeks to get important glaucoma eye-drop refills. Recently, my longtime eye doctor stopped accepting my insurance, and when I suddenly developed an urgent vision problem, I found myself without an eye doctor at all. I'm very disappointed with Eagle eye vision, after having been them for almost 10 years. Attempted to get my grandson in for a very critical eye exam (was seen at the school in May and told he needed glasses) we immediately called my trustworthy eye docs... was given an appointment for 4 weeks out. Didn't like how long but ok. (Told them at the time I was paying for this appointment ). My daughter in law was contacted a couple weeks later with a cancellation, so it was rescheduled (another month away). Cancelled again by the office, another cancellation, rescheduled another month away. Now today (the day of the appt) and arrived early and told that they CANCELLED it AGAIN! Reason? Because they called my son a few times asking about insurance. My son is IN ACTIVE MILITARY!! So instead of leaving the appt, they canceled it despite being told over and over again that this was critical to get this sorted out before my grandson started school (which is tomorrow). I'm furious, and will be taking it business elsewhere for me and my husband. Btw- I was given another appointment date for my grandson... you guessed it a month from now. It's been almost 3 months and I STILL haven't gotten my glasses. I've called them many times. The first time, I was told that somebody forgot to send the prescription in. The 3 or 4 times after, the automated system said that they were on their way. The last time I was told that there was a mistake at the lab. Once I was told that they had no way to contact the lab that makes the glasses. What? How do you communicate with them? Almost three months, yet they want me to write a review about my experience. As a brown person I will suggest to all colored or brown community members to don't go there. I took my mom there this morning, they said that it was a mistake done by system, "system that they have installed to set up appointments" they don't accept her insurance, but they will reschedule it for her at 11:00, "if you don't accept her insurance, how you are able to reschedule and waste more time?" and they made her feel less important and I got involved and requested my moms ID back, and brought my mom back home and now looking for better place to get my mothers eyes checked. My PCP thought I should have my eyes checked out every few years. I was referred to Eagle Eye Vision. Whereas my hospital had openings in 2025 Eagle Eye saw me within the week. Dr. johnson is very knowledgeable and professional. I have been coming here for more than 8 years. I drive from San Jose to get my eyes checked with him every year, I could not find a doctor in the bay as good as him. He also diagnosed me very early for my retinal issue and referred me to a specialist which I am very thankful for. Dr. Salazar is also great which I just got to meet because of an cornea abrasion. The doctor was the only nice person who worked here. The receptionists are rude and will have a whole conversation with each other then look you up and down while you wait to ask a simple question. The office staff randomly decide that they will work hours not listed online and close early. It was a hassle to get my glasses. The selection of glasses is really small and if you have a round face then the staff will make sure to tell you 4 or 5 times to get a pair that fit you. Then when you pick a pair they will tell you they don't fit your face. Idk if they get commission for being catty and disrespectful but they act like it. Also it is so easy to book an appointment because they always have availability. I thought this was good but after my visit I realize that they have so much availability because it sucks. read more

THIEVES!!!! My husband and I have been coming here for a decade and now will no longer be patients. First, it is offensive and uncomfortable when the office staff makes comments in front of patients about how incompentent other staff members are. Next, because of THIER billing system was incorrect,, I was ask to pay for my glasses at pick up. I stated my husband already paid during our initial visit, but they said they didn't have record of it so I paid again with a reassurance of a refund if it was paid twice. Well, it was paid twice and they won't refund me, won't call me back, and to get a hold of anyone at the office is virtually impossible. I did get to speak to the person who schedules and she stated it could take two months for refund (she wasn't sure tho). Unacceptable! For your clerical error! 225 dollars is a lot of money. Its a shame because the Dr was great. read more

Horrible experience, first and last time i visit location i was harassed for the $10 exam visit by Darla she left me 3 Voicemails 2 of them that were very rude . I wasn't able to pay for my glasses because my flex spending card was not activated i told her i will come back the next day once i get it handled but she took it upon her self to call me 2 times the same day if the appointment and one the next morning stating " she let the $10 exam pay slide" and that i absolutely needed to call her back and pay for the exam before the books closed that night (sorry i was at work and people do work) .I indeed called the next morning to pay for my exam after Darla had yet again called that morning saying "looks like were playing phone tag its 11:05am ill try you once again later" so rude of her . I told them i will not be buying glasses from there because of DARLA shes very rude and unprofessional . She needs more customer service training . Shame on you. read more

We received the most rude services on three different occasions. My husband has been coming to this place for 2-3 years because he likes how the doctor is. I thought I'll give them a try. The front staff are so rude and bitchy that we have decided not to return anymore. The doctor and the staff that helped us pick out our glasses were nice and helpful. But the front desk staff are so rude. The first occasion was our first appointment. We schedule our appointment on a Monday at 9:30 am. The Friday before our appointment, we received a phone call from the office that the doctor will be busy during our appointment time and will like us to come an hour later. We agreed to that. We show up to the office at 10:30 am and the front staff had the nerve scoffed and say, "oh your appointment was earlier and you're extremely late." I processed to tell her that we are not late and the office called and pushed our appt back. We didn't get any apologies or acknowledgment that she was wrong for saying that to us. We saw the doctor and picked out our glasses and contacts. The second time, I picked up my trial contacts and the front staff had a lot of attitude and was unprofessional while she trying to find my contacts. She acted like I was an inconvenience to her. The third time was today when I picked up my husband's and my glasses and to order contacts for myself. The front staff had a lot of attitude. I told her I was ready to order my contacts. She proceeded to help me. I asked her very clearly if the contacts were an annual or 6 months supply. She scoffed at me and said she doesn't know what I'm talking about instead of asking me for clarification. I asked her the same exact question and she answered me. I do not understand why the front staff have so much attitude and are rude to customers. I feel that the front staff made our whole experience terrible. read more

Dr. Johnson was professional, knowledgeable and efficient with my exam and the process, which I appreciated as it had been a few years since I last had my eyes examined. At no point did I feel like I was being rushed through the process (a rare thing with doctors nowadays it feels). Optician Melissa was great as well. She thoroughly explained the process of the initial exam as well as answer any follow-up questions I had regarding exam results or prescriptions. She was also very helpful in helping me select frames that suited me and were covered by my insurance. 10/10 will come back again! read more

Let me start this review by stating I wear medically necessary contacts meaning I am literally blind if I do not wear them. Every time I make an appointment the office submits the claim for regular contacts which results in the claim being denied. Today I call to make an appointment and when I arrived they tell me my claim was denied and I owed money. I told them no because medically necessary contacts are 100% covered. Instead of arguing with the billing clerk at the front desk, I leave to call my insurance provider. They advised me the office entered the claim incorrectly again and the claim has never been denied. I ask the rep to call eaglevision to straighten this out. Davis advises me all is good and I should be able to pick up my adjusted left contact. I then call and talk to the same billing clerk who lied to my face, who promised to call me back by the end of business or the following day. I have yet to receive a call. This has been the worst experience going all the way back to my first appt in March 2019. I also believe the office Is holding my insurance approved contacts hostage in an effort for me to pay out of pocket. read more

Just came here yesterday for the first time and very pleased with their service. Everyone including the staff in the front from the optometrist are kind and respectful. I felt very safe there being 35 weeks pregnant (with the whole COVID situation) they take your temperature before you walk in. Allow very limited people in, make sure you are wearing a mask. SERIOUSLY THE WORST!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!! I have been with this office for many years. I recently went in to get my prescription updated and when I came into the office they had told me that i wasn't even on the scheduled that they had accidentally scheduled me for a different day. I had already taken that day off and so they had me sit and wait fro like 45 minutes. The front desk lady that I was speaking to was extremely rude and just because i'm young (22 but i look younger) she was so careless and made me feel like she was constantly doing me a favor. She did not treat me like a valuable customer. She had a MAJOR attitude with me. Not to even mention she was dressed like she was going to the club right after. Her red hair was a mess and her dress was extremely short with stilettos. I work in customer service myself and the way she was acting with me was so out of line and rude and unprofessional. Once I finally went into the doctors room Dr. Johnson wasn't very helpful either. Through my appointment he maybe said about 5-7 words to me total. He didn't let me know if my vision had gotten worse or better. He also, didn't treat me like a valuable customer he treated me like i was a bother to him and he definitely didn't have my best interest. I told him I just needed the prescription and he kept on trying to sell me their $600 contacts which i had told him several times I wasn't going to buy yet I just needed my updated prescription. After the appointment the doctor just left the room without giving me a print out of my new prescription or saying anything. I had to ask the front desk to print one out for me. I had also spent almost $200 just for the prescriptions. Overall I'm just completely shocked by this office at this point. They need to get rid of that really rude and unprofessional front desk lady, she's the first person you see when you come in and her terrible attitude makes you never want to come back. And the doctor needs to have a better attitude with his patients no matter how old they are or look. And actually try and help them with what they need and be thorough with them and not just get in get out and not be helpful at all. I've been with this office for many years and I will NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. No thank you. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE. I read the yelp reviews on this place. They looked good. Looked at the pictures and they seemed to have a decent selection. I called to check hours. I usually only take a half hour lunch, but yesterday I took an hour and a half lunch just so I could find my cycling sunglasses and pay for them. I walked in at 1220 and felt no love once so ever. It was made abundantly clear that they would not be helping me today. The first thing out of their mouth was, we don't have anyone to help you pick out glasses between 1130-130 every day. (So basically, you guys don't like making money on the lunch hour?) . I said oh ok, can I just browse without help? She sighed and then asked me for all my insurance information (if you don't plan on helping me, why do you need that?) Regardless I obliged. So it's now 12:27 and I'm told that they have an all staff meeting at 12:30 and I can't be on the floor without staff. So I took my 3 minutes, found exactly what I was looking for .. Now I know and I'll just have to find them at another store. I've been in customer service my whole life, I get that there are staff meetings and lunch hours and how much I hated when people walked in five minutes before closing time. Doesn't mean I should be treated poorly for it. To top it all off, I went down the street to optical eye center and they tried to pull my insurance info, but were unable to do it at first, because this place accidentally put an order in under my account. So I spent the remainder of my lunch getting that untangled. Still no glasses, still looking. read more

Is it possible to have a crush on an entire optometrists office? Starting with my initial phone call(s) to get an appointment, change an appointment, ask questions, to the choosing of glasses, I had nothing less than a superb experience at Eagle Vision. This was my first eye appointment in about 20 years (think required testing in elementary school) so I had no idea what to expect in the terms of technology and was pleasantly surprised. Puffs of air have been replaced by lasers and the technology to finding your perfect vision is amazing. The doctor (LeSueur) was kind, had a great sense of humor and never once acted like my questions were bothersome or pedestrian. All of the staff was pleasant, understanding and patient, and even when I called 2 days in to my 7-10 day wait for glasses they could not have been nicer. I have not stopped gushing about them to people that may need an eye appointment and am getting my husband in there soon. Looking forward to joining the ranks of four eyes, which has to partly be due to the wonderful care I encountered here! read more

I hadn't had my eyes checked in nearly 3 years!. I was looking for a new doctor and I'm so happy I found this place! ! Upon entering the office you'll be greeted by 2 staff members. The color scheme is warm and inviting. While waiting, you can watch TV, or browse the WIDE selection of frames. Prices range from about $100 to $300+ for the Designer frames. Tons of cute frames! Even hipster styles. My eyes had changed quite bit over the years. So my eyes were checked slowly, carefully - How's that? What's clearer 1 or 2? It was actually fun!
