Dr. Zayas and his staff even stay later than 7pm to help people who can't come in earlier. And then they squeezed me in the following week last minute as well. I desperately needed a root canal and they took care of me. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and Dr. Zayas is cool and calm. My experience from beginning to end was amazing and they totally erased any bad child hood memories I've had with past dentists. I've heard horrible things about getting root canals but Dr. Zayas and his crew made it easy and pain free. Yes, wait times are long but totally worth it. Dr. Zayas is the best!

One very low radiation scan provides a computerized image that allows my dentist to 3D view any tooth from any angle. Each completed implant was digital X rayed in house to check alignment, however, this was done only once and the radiation level was so low that no one left the room. No lead apron was needed, and my dentist even held the film in place with his finger. Almost immediately, I viewed the image on screen with my dentist to verify the perfect alignment. The Houston dentists covered by my insurance use 1950's X ray equipment and hide in another room while they expose you to radiation levels that cause healthy teeth to erupt or go out of alignment. This method of predatory medicine provides them with more income that is certainly not earned by the quality of their work..

However Doctor Perez was very kind, and talked me through what was going on and what I should be feeling and made sure I was numbed completely before getting to work. Total time was less then an hour. We did have an exam and consultation a few days prior so that was not included in my time. I will definitely come back and recommend this office to everyone.

My appointment was at 11am, it wasn't until 2pm that I was seen by Dr. Villarreal. Never in my life have I waited that long for any medical appointment. After a three hour wait to determine if a painful tooth should be pulled, I was told I had a Type A personality and I should meditate. I'm not sure of any Type A personality that would wait three hours for an appointment, but whatever. At the very least, I expected after waiting that long to receive some sort of meaningful recommendation/diagnosis. Nope. No diagnosis and I was told if the tooth was pulled, it could damage neighboring teeth nearby. So after a very brief consult, I left and drove another hour home. Waste of 5 plus hours of my life and the fees incurred for a useless consult. Do not recommend, but I guess if you live in the RGV you are limited on options. Thankfully I have returned to the real world. However, I recommend avoiding this office if possible.

Apparently, my one and only wisdom tooth (weird, I know) was "impacted". In other words, the tooth had to go. I went in to Dr Villareal's offfice got assessed and was in the surgery room within 20 minutes. The surgery was super quick and they drugged me enough to not find it horrifying. It was actually not bad. I was in pain for the following two days but I was off pain meds by the third or fourth day. I feel Dr Villareal did a great job and I now have a much more positive outlook on dental surgery because of it (I was pretty nervous going in). The office is also really helpful with payments. They are willing to work with you which was really reassuring. I would completely recommend,

So I had them prop my chair. The contraption for my jaw for that long caused me jaw pain for the next few days. Well they wanted me to leave a review right after procedure. Are you kidding? I just want to go home and rest after this. After months of dealing with them and my insurance, found out they were not in network but I still have great dental insurance. They overcharged me at appt and I paid it-- I just wanted it done. Well that was in October and today after receiving another statement from my dental insurance my portion was not supposed to be that much. When I call, Sandra said we had cleared the account so that you don't owe us anything. I told her we had been talking about this several times now and I was due a refund!!! They ran it through insurance twice for some reason citing that the wrong doctor was on the paperwork. However MetLife ran it with correct dentist. They also charged a $390 crown build up and I didn't even go in with a crown on!! False practices here, will let my insurance know they are double dipping.
