My son had a complicated case and we agreed with Dr. Slovin that he should take the meds to go all the way under. My daughter's case was straight forward and wisdom teeth near the surface. She wanted to remain awake and just have local anesthetic. On the day of their back-to-back appointments, Dr. Slovin spent several minutes trying to talk me into putting her all the way under, and when I said no, he tried to shame me into it. He made me feel very uncomfortable, but my daughter and I still said no, thank you. Thankfully, both healed well, although my daughter felt normal and happy within a couple of hours. My son felt sluggish and crummy for a few days. P.S. - Dr. Slovin no longer practices at this office. ORTHDONTIST CONSULT- 2021 - I scheduled consultations at several places to compare service and prices. Dr. Adab has the most gentle touch of anyone who has put their hands into my mouth - hands down! She listened and addressed all my concerns thoroughly and didn't leave until she made sure she had. They are a lot more expensive than my regular doctor (for Invisalign) so I didn't chose them. Light Dental took over my dental office when my dentist retired…read more I had a cavity in a tooth that anchors a partial on the bottom of my mouth. A visit to my "new" dentist revealed I had cavities on both of the anchor teeth and I was scheduled to visit another Light Dental location where he did some dentist-ly things that turned out to be two crowns. He said not to put the partial back in "for 7 days" (while the permanent crowns were made). Days turned to weeks as I struggled to eat without teeth. Almost a month passed while I waited. On my follow up, I took a selection of soft food options that they might suggest to their other patients they leave without teeth to chew food. The crowns did not fit my partial, despite the numerous 3D X-rays they did of my mouth. I had to schedule another follow up. The technician broke one of the pins that holds the partial in place so I had to drive back another hour in traffic two ways, three hours later, to pick up my partial that not only didn't fit now, but looked different on both sides. Worth mentioning, I paid cash up front prior to having the crowns set. I still received a bill for, among other things, multiple COVID up charges, which my insurance company told me was not a valid charge. My partial does not fit now. Period. Hard stop. I've just visited another dentist to follow up and was told that after paying $2000 plus insurance two months ago, now I will need to pay $3000 more to replace the partial and complete the work. I found the practice, in general, less informative than others I've worked with and definitely lacking both integrity and a personal connection. I definitely don't recommend them.
