The treatments were painful and uncomfortable. I had to come back several times for redos. After waiting for proper insurance authorizations and assurances that treatments would be covered, They charged me anyway which leads to me to believe that they overcharged me. And then, over a year after treatment they send me a past due bill! Zero stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have an extremely high turnover with pediatric dentists, dental hygienists and office staff. While we were happy with the adult care we received from Dr. Parks, having a constant changeover in other staff affected our quality of care and overall experience. Additionally I had to stay really on top of keeping track of my family's xray schedule, as what was covered by our insurance because staff would attempt to perform X-rays without verifying coverage with our dental insurance. We decided to finally leave the practice after we cancelled an appointment. I had provided 24 hours noticed and was informed to penalize us, for not giving the required 48 hours notice, we would have to pay a scheduling fee each time we made an appointment, for every family member. I wrote an email to Dr. Parks to explain that my youth had pneumonia and I was treated very badly by staff for canceling appointments with 24 hours notice related to her illness. His staff member Denden intercepted the email and refused to forward it to him. After all the years my family had been with the practice it was extremely disappointing to be treated in such a way.

Went here today to have a major procedure done for my grand daughter. She has been an opiate addict for the last 15 years. That was the last time she saw the dentist. It was the last time our family was whole. So now we ask lots of questions and generally will never trust any one who claims to hold a medical license again. It's my reality. Seems this offended the anesthesiologist at this office. He stated opiates should be less controlled and if we can't trust him he can't treat my daughter. I was too angry to think. I left. I should have taken my family with me and far away from this evil human being. Be very wary when bringing your kids to this office.

He always makes the kids feel comfortable. They have a location in Kent/Covington area and in Maple Valley. Both places are always clean and kept up. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, even when I'm running a bit late. They always make an effort to accommodate my children's needs. I would definitely recommend them, we've never had any insurance nor dental issues. We are going to miss Dr. Nicholas Raklios when my children are no longer children and have to move to an adult dental office.

You can tell immediately from the front desk to the dental assistants to the doctors themselves that they care about providing quality service. I was super nervous about my child going under anesthesia but the whole experience went smoothly because of how knowledgeable, friendly & supportive the staff were, including the anesthesiologists (also board certified). The staff talked us through everything and updated us along the way which made all the difference! We were also given some options for treatment approaches mid way through the procedure which was appreciated (other offices don't do this & have flat out told me that there are no "options" once under GA). Super grateful for this dental office. Highly recommend. Also, if it helps anyone decide - we are a family of color under state insurance and were treated amazingly. The dentist didn't greet us, had no knowledge of his care, and didn't address my request for continuity. Instead of calling me to resolve it, they sent a letter banning us from returning. I strongly believe this treatment was influenced by racial bias. Families of color, be aware this practice does not provide respectful or patient-centered care.

He does take the time to explain what he does to the parents and he is very thorough when he works. He's one of the few people with genuine care. I will be definitely sending my kids to him as he is always pleasant and never does more than what is needed. I know he doesn't promote yelp reviews as a lot of his patients are word of mouth. I know there are a couple of negative reviews here, but if he promoted yelp reviews, there would be a ton more positive ones. Would recommended him to anyone.

The person who did the original scan for the splint was obviously out of their depth, and the "specialist" who fitted the $600 device was overwhelmed and nervous. Possibly because they realized the original scan wasn't done correctly and so she tried for quite a while to grind parts away, or possibly from lack of experience. I'm not sure which, but she was out of her depth. I would not advise going here.

Light Dental took over my dental office when my dentist retired…read more I had a cavity in a tooth that anchors a partial on the bottom of my mouth. A visit to my "new" dentist revealed I had cavities on both of the anchor teeth and I was scheduled to visit another Light Dental location where he did some dentist-ly things that turned out to be two crowns. He said not to put the partial back in "for 7 days" (while the permanent crowns were made). Days turned to weeks as I struggled to eat without teeth. Almost a month passed while I waited. On my follow up, I took a selection of soft food options that they might suggest to their other patients they leave without teeth to chew food. The crowns did not fit my partial, despite the numerous 3D X-rays they did of my mouth. I had to schedule another follow up. The technician broke one of the pins that holds the partial in place so I had to drive back another hour in traffic two ways, three hours later, to pick up my partial that not only didn't fit now, but looked different on both sides. Worth mentioning, I paid cash up front prior to having the crowns set. I still received a bill for, among other things, multiple COVID up charges, which my insurance company told me was not a valid charge. My partial does not fit now. Period. Hard stop. I've just visited another dentist to follow up and was told that after paying $2000 plus insurance two months ago, now I will need to pay $3000 more to replace the partial and complete the work. I found the practice, in general, less informative than others I've worked with and definitely lacking both integrity and a personal connection. I definitely don't recommend them.
